Break from everyday life

We, an older couple with a small dog, were in this beautiful holiday home for the second time. The weather cooperated, so we were able to fully enjoy the lovely garden. Nothing has changed. We were warmly welcomed. Thanks to the Köster family. The fish and the ice cream were tested right away. We can definitely recommend the holiday home. Our dog also felt very comfortable. We will definitely come back.

Pure relaxation

We have been coming for 20 years - always to the same bungalow - that speaks for itself! Nowhere can we relax as well, sit in the "own" garden, enjoy water, beach, and air on foot, as well as take beautiful bike tours in the surroundings. A dream...

Cozy little holiday apartment

We felt comfortable. Beautiful terrace with a view of the greenery. Small meadow where the dog could play. Many paths lead to the center and the beach, about 10 to 20 minutes on foot.

Very nice landlord contact. Everything was wonderfully clean. Our dog was also welcomed with generous treats. For people with mobility restrictions, the shower (high shower tub) and bed are difficult, but it was possible with the provided step. We would love to come back and look forward to it.

Cozy holiday home

For many years, I have been going to this beautiful holiday home with my dog. It is very cozy and clean, especially the small garden, which is very nice; you can enjoy the peace undisturbed. The landlady is very helpful. The beach and the town center are also within walking distance. Will I be back in my holiday home next year?

Summer Vacation 2024

We were in Callantsoog for the first time and stayed with Mrs. Köster! We were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Köster. Even our dog received a welcome gift! The house is very cozy and clean. The beautiful small garden is secluded by high hedges. It's about a 15-minute walk to the beach and the town. We enjoyed it so much that we will come back next year.

Great time-out

Warm welcome by the hosts. The holiday home is cozy and friendly furnished. Everything you need is available. Everything was spotlessly clean, even our dog had a welcome gift. The garden is not visible, so you can enjoy nature in peace. It's about a 10-minute walk to the beach and the village. The surroundings invite you to go on excursions. Vacation with dogs

We were there with our 2 dogs.
There is a small garden with a terrace where you can let the dogs run freely.
It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to a beautiful, seemingly endless sandy beach.
What I particularly like is that dogs are allowed all year round. During the season, I think only leashed dogs are allowed from morning until 7 pm. So no need to search for a dog-friendly beach.

Great location, beautiful view

First of all, I would like to thank the hostess for her hospitality. We stayed for a short trip for two nights in the holiday home and were very satisfied with the location because it was absolutely beautiful. We only had a problem with the quite old inventory, which was not great, and also the beds were really not acceptable anymore as they had exceeded their expiration date, just like the other seating options which were also not in the best condition. I don't want to sound unfair, I'm just stating how I perceived it. I can only say that the hostess was a very nice and great person, and the location couldn't have been better.

Vacation in July 2023

We spent 14 wonderful days in Callantsoog in the small and cozy cottage in a good location. In just 15 minutes you can reach the beautiful beach. The town center for shopping, eating or strolling is also very close.
We were warmly welcomed by a very nice landlady on the day of arrival and just as warmly bid farewell on departure.
Behind the house there is a beautiful and secluded garden for relaxing or barbecuing. The house is small and cozy and equipped with everything you need for daily needs. However, the beds were a little too narrow for us. But that's okay on vacation.
The park is quiet. We really felt comfortable here with Mrs. Köster.
We also always got great tips for excursions and attractions from her.
If the weather is not so nice, there are numerous sights in the surrounding area.

Quiet oasis of well-being

We had a wonderful 14-day vacation in this charming little house. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Köster and found our accommodation to be sparkling clean. Everything is lovingly furnished and we lacked nothing. A washing machine also served us well. There was also a garden where we could barbecue, with a cozy seating area and sun loungers. The cottage is located in a very quiet park and we were able to relax really well. If we ever had a problem or a question, we could always turn to our landlady, who lived right next to us. The landlady is always trying to gather information or give us good tips about the area, but always discreetly. We also really liked the town of Callantsoog, with a few shops, restaurants, and a good ice cream parlor. It was accessible on foot in 10 minutes via a secret path through a small forest. The beautiful beach was also just a few minutes' walk away, and despite occasional cooler weather, we still had some swimming days. Even on cool days, we were able to go on a few trips, for example to Texel, to the natural history museum with a seal rescue station Ecomare, to the rescue museum in Den Helder, with a small harbor tour on the museum boat, to the navy museum, also indoor pools in Den Helder or Julianadorp can bridge the time on a rainy day, especially with children. If you are willing to take longer drives by car, you could also take a canal tour in Alkmaar or go to the indoor and outdoor park De Gouldfish in St. Martenszee with younger children. For our teenage daughter, the morning horseback ride on the beach in Callantsoog for experienced riders was the highlight of the vacation, organized by the Noot Riding School. We liked it so much that we would like to come back next year. Then, of course, again to the beautiful quiet house of Mrs. Köster.

Beautiful vacation in a quiet location.

"We didn't miss almost anything, except maybe a new whisk? Beds are okay, a little softer but okay. There is a nice, almost secluded garden that can block the dog's escape with a garden table, unless the dog jumps over it! Window mosquito nets in the bedrooms are ideal. The hostess is very friendly and helpful! Thank you for the beautiful peonies. You can go for great walks with forests, fields, and irrigation canals from the house. Beautiful holiday

The two of us with our dog spent a wonderful week in Callantsoog with Mrs Köster. Mrs Köster welcomed us in a friendly manner and also helped us immediately with all our questions. We were very happy about the welcome drink and a flower greeting. The secluded garden is really great. The sea and Albert Heijn are within walking distance. We have already travelled a lot in Holland, but we liked Mrs Köster's place in Callantsoog best so far and we will definitely come back.

Gut gelegenes Ferienhaus

We really enjoyed our vacation at Ferienhaus Garnekuul 10. Everything is easily accessible on foot. This is very practical when traveling with a dog.
The garden is small but nice and fenced, and you have sun from noon. The house is cozy and clean. We are already looking forward to the next time.

Beautiful 5 days at holiday home de Garnekuul 10

From the house, you can easily reach everything on foot. You are in the city or at the beach in about 10 minutes.
The house is small but nice. Unfortunately, we missed a dishwasher.
For a short break, it was completely sufficient.
We and our dog felt very comfortable and can recommend the house.

Beautiful and clean holiday accommodation

We had four wonderful days in Callantshoog. The holiday home was clean and cozy and only a few meters from the parking lot. The landlords were very nice and helpful. When our dog was bitten by a tick, the landlady tried to remove it. Also, in the meantime, the landlady inquired about our well-being. The beach or the town of Callantshoog are only 500 m away, which can be easily reached on foot. We lacked nothing and we enjoyed our stay. We will gladly come back.

Enjoyable short holiday

Cosy accommodation in a quiet location, ideal for holidays with dogs even in low season. The landlady is very hospitable and can be reached quickly if necessary!
Central location, beautiful surroundings!
Beach and centre within walking distance!
From here we made small trips to Den Helder, Schagen, Bergen aan Zee, Alkmaar!

Holiday home in Callantsoog

We stayed with our 2 children and our 2 dogs for 7 days in Calantsoog and we really enjoyed it. It is a beautiful small holiday home with a locked garden where one can be for oneself and everything one needs is inside (washing machine, coffee machine, stove, and refrigerator, etc). The car could stay parked as the town center and beach were a few minutes' walk away where you could take a nice walk with the dogs and also find everything like shopping opportunities, bike rental, restaurants, ice cream parlor, etc. We found it very nice and relaxing and would recommend it. If there was anything, one could always talk to the landlords who were on-site and very very nice. We will definitely come back.

Very cozy cottage with a lot of privacy.

This was my second vacation in this little house, and I have already booked for next year. It is truly fantastic. Even my dog felt very comfortable. Especially the small garden, which is completely private, is a dream. Everything you need is available in the house. The landlady, Mrs. Köster, is immediately there if you have any problems, but I had none 😊 The beach and the town center are very close, everything is within walking distance. My dog and I had a very nice vacation. We are already looking forward to next year! 😉

Schöne Unterkunft

We stayed over Pentecost with 2 dogs at Mrs. Köster's and were very satisfied. We had too much with us, as everything was already on site. The garden is not visible and you have your privacy. Mrs. Köster herself is very friendly and accommodating. The sea and shops are all within walking distance. We will come back again.

Escape from the Christmas hustle and bustle...

As we wanted to experience a slightly different Christmas, this time we also went to Callantsoog in winter. We already know many accommodations in this town. This one is the best so far! It is very clean and has everything you need. Mrs. Köster is very friendly, helpful, and would probably have helped us with all means at her disposal if there were any problems. But... we had no problems. :-) Well... We already had a problem: the vacation ended faster than we ever thought possible. That's the logical conclusion when you just felt incredibly comfortable. WE'LL BE BACK!!!!

This little house and village are ideal for a relaxing holiday with a dog. You can walk for miles along the beach there. Good cycling paths are also available. Frau Köster is very nice and always has an open ear if something is needed. The house is well furnished and has everything you need. Usually, we always go somewhere else, but we would spend our holiday there again.
