Description
Two houses with lots of old charm, cosy wooden floors and modern furnishings are connected via a large wooden terrace. Lots of light in the rooms and many preserved historical details give the ensemble its charm. From both houses you can reach the large terrace; from there you have a view into the 3600 sqm garden, where little owls perch in the old oaks. In the larger house you will find a cosy living room with fireplace and a dining room with garden view on the ground floor. Upstairs is the bathroom with bath and shower, and two bedrooms. Under the roof, with a beautiful view of the garden, there is also room for two guests. In the adjoining house, the large ground floor room used to house the looms of the village teacher's daughters who worked here. Here, too, we have created a living room with a view of the garden. There is another bedroom on the upper floor. A small passageway connects the two houses. We try to combine the charm of the house with the comforts of modern facilities.

Location and surroundings of object
Bantin is a small community that belongs to the town of Zarrentin. The fauna and flora in the Schaalsee biosphere reserve is exceptionally diverse due to the former protected border location and is a special experience for nature lovers. This begins with the abundance of flowers in the garden and continues on hikes and drives through the surroundings of the UNESCO reserve. You will find numerous bathing spots at the small and larger lakes. You can stop for coffee or a meal in the old manor houses and barns on the lakeshores. Seedorf on the western shore of the Schaalsee is a largely intact architectural ensemble. In Zarrentin you can visit the former Cistercian monastery founded in 1250 or learn about the flora and fauna of the biosphere reserve in the Paalhus.

| The house is rented incl. utilities. The minimum rent is 2 nights, at Easter 4 nights, at Christmas/New Year's Eve 5 nights and in June, July and August we usually only rent by the week. The house costs 175,- Euro/night in low season, in June, July and August 185,- Euro and around Christmas 200,- Euro/night for up to 8 guests. On weekends (2 or 3 nights) the house always costs 185,- Euro/night for up to 8 guests. For additional guests we charge 10,- Euro/night. At Whitsun, Easter, 1st May and Ascension Day the prices of the main season apply. We provide sheets, blankets and pillows. You are welcome to bring your own bed linen and towels, or we can provide them for 12 euros/set. We ask for a deposit of 20% of the total rent, and a refundable deposit of 100 euros. |

Free cancellation possible up to 60 days before the arrival date.
The cancellation policy: I strive to re-rent the house in the event of a cancellation. If this is unsuccessful, the following cancellation fees apply: - Free of charge until 2 months prior to arrival - From 60 days prior to arrival, a 50% cancellation fee - From 30 days prior to arrival, a 75% cancellation fee - From 1 week prior to arrival, a 100% cancellation fee

Large charming holiday home with great garden in a wonderful location
Everything about this holiday home is just right. Our family (parents with three teenagers) felt very comfortable here for a fortnight and we would have stayed even longer...The house and the garden offer a lot of space, the furnishings leave nothing to be desired. You can either laze around in the garden or actively explore the surrounding area. We had bicycles with us, which we used to explore Zarrentin, the surrounding villages and the lakes. But trips to Mölln, Ratzeburg, Lübeck, Schwerin, Wismar, the Baltic Sea... are also worthwhile. We travelled to this area for the first time and learned to appreciate it right away. Thanks to our friendly and uncomplicated landlords!

Generous and uncomplicated
We spent a wonderful week here with 7 people. The house is full of beautiful views and lovely corners, offering plenty of space for the varying needs of a large family: the older children loved the foosball table and the secluded spots in the extensive and enchanting garden, the sunny spots on the beautiful wooden terrace or on the lawn, or alternatively the shaded sleeping and reading spots in the hammock or on one of the sofas. The Wi-Fi works well, the beds are great, the decor is very tasteful, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the bookshelf is well stocked. We would love to come back. Thank you for the lovely and relaxing time!

Dreamlike!
We were absolutely thrilled, spent two wonderful and super relaxing weeks in Bantin and felt VERY comfortable!
The house is perfectly furnished for our taste (we are Sweden lovers). Wooden floorboards, beautiful light, tasteful furnishings and colour scheme. Moreover, everything you need is there. There are also games, books and even a table football!
The terrace is large and the garden even larger. There is a giant trampoline, hammocks between trees and lots of space
The area is idyllic, there are various swimming possibilities at lakes, but you can also do many other activities and excursions (within a radius of up to one hour by car).
The contact with Mr. Gräff was very uncomplicated and friendly!
We were two families with a total of 4 "children" (between 14 and 21) and all were very happy and satisfied and super recovered after two weeks. We would definitely holiday in this great house again!

Sehr gemütlich und für Ruhesuchende ideal
We stayed with family + dog in this holiday home for a week. It is comfortably furnished and feels like home! The garden is huge, and there is a large, beautiful terrace. Everything you need is there. However, there was no bakery in the small village - we had to drive to the neighboring village 1-2 times in the morning to buy bread rolls - but this was not a problem for us at all. We felt very comfortable.

Great house with a fantastic garden.
Behind old trees and enchanted bushes lies this stylishly furnished and well-equipped holiday home in the very quiet village of Bantin. We spent a wonderful week there with a group of adults and young children, enjoying numerous bike rides, especially to the bathing area of Lake Schaalsee in the 3 km distant Zarrentin. We found relaxation and made extensive use of the modern kitchen, which makes cooking enjoyable even for many people. The rooms are very appealing, the beds comfortable, and the common areas offer a lot with a foosball table, games, music, books, and a stove. If we weren't looking for a new destination every year, it would be certain: we will come back! This destination is highly recommended to the interested reader.
