Description
The main house CASALE has 5 bedrooms with double beds for up to 13 people. A small winter garden with a sofa offers 1 additional sleeping place. In the gallery there is an additional pull-out sofa. In the ground floor room there is also a pull-out sofa. x In total, the house is therefore suitable for a maximum of 12 people.
In the casale there are 2 bathrooms and a Maldives outdoor bath and 5 bedrooms as well as the small winter garden. On the ground floor there is the living and dining area, a large fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, a bedroom as well as an additional toilet.
We have just built the large outdoor bathroom!
On the beautiful covered terrace, a large wooden table with benches offers plenty of space for sociable meals and gatherings in the fresh air . . . . and that almost all year round ;)))
From the kitchen, you reach a second furnished terrace with a wonderful view of the large pool, which was completed this year, and an ancient oak tree providing natural shade – the perfect place to enjoy the first cappuccino of the day!
An outdoor pizza oven and free Wi-Fi are also available. There are various other terraces and barbecue areas distributed around the grounds, as well as a large conservatory-like lounge with an open fireplace, darts, and children's play equipment.
The refreshing pool (5x12m) with a large sun terrace and deck chairs is available to all guests of the Casale and the 3 other small houses scattered around the grounds.
Riding to the most beautiful places of the wild and romantic "Alta Maremma" nearby can be organized.
Dogs possible by arrangement. Additionally, we offer a large yoga platform under old oaks. . . .

Location and surroundings of object
Campo al Monaco is located approximately 1 km outside the medieval mountain village Sassofortino belongs to the municipality of Roccastrada.
Sassofortino is located halfway between Siena and the provincial capital Grosseto in the heart of southern Tuscany, just 40 km from the sea.
The sleepy little town offers all kinds of shops: a Coop supermarket, two food stores (in an even German is spoken), 1 Pizzeria, 1 Restaurant, 2 Bars, 2 hairdressers, a "Barbiere" Only Mr. cuts and shaving.
There is also a close situated wine estate (about km), offered in the tasting and best Tuscan wines for sale.
In the neighboring village Roccatederighi () there are a further 5 restaurants, bars, a German artisan (Anna / ceramics), a butcher, a Enoteca and a fruit and vegetable shop (Roberta).
For trips to the sea (about 45 min. Away), the Pineta is recommended between Marina di Grosseto and Castiglione della Pescaia with its long sandy beaches (dogs are here on designated sections allowed) or smaller bays such as the enchanting "Cala Violina".
Music lovers can enjoy many outdoor concerts in the vicinity or sometimes come in the village. Tuscan feasts (the so-called "sagra") with traditional cuisine under the stars found throughout the summer rather than.
The end of the season will be launched in Sassofortino by the Festa della Castagna in early November. For this purpose, people travel from the entire surrounding area to enjoy roasted chestnuts, live music and crafts.
By car can be reached quickly in other medieval villages and towns such as San Galgano (the "church without a roof"), Massa Marittima, Pitigliano etc .. There are many churches, museums and art parks, (eg the "Giardino dei Tarocchi" by Niki de Saint Phalle) to discover.
The historic art city of Florence can be reached by car in about 2 hours (130 km) and even to Rome leads in less than 2 hours by express train from Grosseto.
A visit to the Maremma National Park "Natural Park of Maremma" with its kilometers of unspoilt beaches, lonely hills, wild horse and cattle herds, is a highlight of the area.
Sports options include horse riding, cycling, hiking and bouldering on offer Sassoforte.
A golf course is 30km (Gavorrano), a further 50km away on the seafront (Punta Ala).
The Podere itself has table tennis, darts, table football, sand-riding area and a small round pen for horse training. If interested, you can bring your own horse by arrangement.
There is plenty of space to play outdoors and to walk in the meadows around Campo al Monaco on a discovery tour.
Those who prefer just relaxing, may be on one of the terraces, which are distributed over the estate, retire or just lie by the pool and enjoy the real Italian 'idleness'.

| Please note that we can only accept bookings from Saturday to Saturday in the high season (01 July to 02 September 2017). Outside the high season it is possible by arrangement to arrive on a day other than Saturday. The house will be ready on arrival from 16 o'clock. The departure must be before 10am. In this regard Exceptions are only possible by prior arrangement and respective booking situation, since we, the time between arrival and distance need around the house and the grounds (pool, terraces, etc.). We ask for your understanding. |

On Campo al Monaco, in addition to the main house CASALE, there is another house, CASA ROSSA, with its three holiday apartments for 2-4 people each, and 2 small houses for small families.
Please note that the existing pool is intended for the shared use of guests from both houses.
