Description

The Amselnest is located on the 1st floor of a house with 6 flats in 76848 Schwanheim, between Landau and Pirmasens, in the middle of the beautiful Palatinate Forest - quiet, at the end of a dead-end street. In the Amselnest you have a 25sqm terrace to yourself.
The Amselnest is the ideal starting point for hikes, climbing tours in the Dahner Felsenland or geocaching. The German Tourism Association (dtv) awarded the holiday flat three stars in May 2018. The certificate is on display.

The flat is (without terrace) 55sqm, consists of a bedroom with double bed (180x200), shower room with washing machine and a large combined living room with a fully equipped kitchen. Dishwasher, microwave and oven are available, as well as a filter coffee machine (incl. filter bags) and a Senseo for the little pad in between.

There is a small fireplace in the living room, firewood is on the terrace and free of charge. Alternatively, the energy-saving infrared heaters can be used to heat the flat.

Directly adjoining this living room is the approx. 25 sqm terrace facing west. The generous window front allows a view over the valley and the forest at any time. So you can start the day with a good breakfast inside or outside.
After your activities, you can retreat there, end the day with a view of the valley, say good night to fox, rabbit and deer and enjoy the good Palatinate wine in the evening sun.

A garage in the house is included. You can park your car, motorbike, pedelec and bicycle there

We have renovated the flat and the bathroom in February 2020 and partly equipped them with new furniture
WLAN is available free of charge.
A single garage belongs to the flat, which you can also use free of charge.

The large terrace is equipped with garden furniture.

Location and surroundings of object

76848 Schwanheim is a small village (approx. 580 inhabitants) between Pirmasens and Landau. Nearby you will find Annweiler (Trifels Castle), Hinterweidenthal (Devil's Table), Dahn (Jungfernsprung, Bride & Groom) and Hauenstein with its shoe mile

There is a butcher in the village as well as the Dorfcafe Bayer (walking distance to butcher's shop and bakery approx. 10 minutes). There is also an inn in Schwanheim called "Zum alten Nußbaum" with delicious Palatinate cuisine. The Schwanheimer Hütte (Wasgauhütte) is also very close by.

In Hauenstein, 4km away, you can get all the articles you need for your daily needs, as well as cash.
For your first orientation, I have prepared a guest folder, which you will find in the flat upon arrival.

If the contract is not upheld by the guest, the guest is obliged to pay the price reduced by the saved expenses - according to general experience, the savings amount to 20% of the accommodation price. 2. The landlord is obligated to rent out the unused vacation apartment wherever possible to avoid losses. 3. Until the apartment is rented out again, the guest must pay the daily accommodation price for the duration of the contract.

Very nice, quiet, holiday flat

Price/performance fits, our dog (Belgian sheepdog) was welcome, garage available, we felt very comfortable. Beautiful walks possible in the surrounding area. Excellent facilities. Animal watching (deer with fawn) possible from the terrace.
