Description
The thatched house is modern and family-friendly, furnished in a maritime style. The spacious living and dining area is located on the ground floor. Here our guests sit together sociably at the large dining table. The adjoining open kitchen invites you to cook together and is fully equipped - among other things with induction hob, oven, fully automatic coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher and a perfect draft tap.
The cosy seating area offers plenty of space to relax. Entertainment is provided by the LCD TV, stereo system, internet via WLAN as well as a PS3 games console or the large collection of board games - so there is no chance of getting bored. Those who like it a little quieter can simply end the evening cosily by the fireplace
The three bedrooms upstairs are equipped with high-quality double beds and LCD TVs, and two rooms also have a small desk.
In the converted attic there are two further rooms, each with two single beds - one of which has an LCD TV. This is where the children like to retreat, as books and toys are also available.
Wellness is not neglected in the "Alter Seebär" either. The large bathroom on the upper floor offers a spacious shower with rain showerhead and two washbasins as well as a whirlpool. On the ground floor there is another bathroom with shower and sauna, which ensures well-being even in bad weather. In addition, there is a WC in the attic.
The garden of the 700 m² property offers plenty of space for games and relaxed barbecue evenings. The house has a south-facing terrace equipped with a large table, ten garden chairs, a beach chair, a parasol and a barbecue fireplace. In the garden house with a large roof overhang you have the possibility to store bicycles and beach utensils safely and protected from the weather. Three parking spaces are located directly on the property.
Washing machine, dryer, two children's high chairs, children's travel bed and trolley are part of the equipment.
A sauna in the house can be used as an oasis of well-being for a small fee.
Since the house is also rented to allergy sufferers, pets and smoking are not allowed and an automatic living room ventilation system ensures an optimal indoor climate.

The "Alter Seebär" holiday home is located in the Glowe Baltic Sea Park in the north-east of the island of Rügen and is only an 8-minute walk from the beach. The recognised climatic health resort Glowe is one of the sunniest places in Germany. One of the largest and most beautiful beaches on Rügen begins here - the Schaabe. The fine sandy beach stretches over eight kilometres from Glowe to the neighbouring village of Juliusruh and offers enough space for undisturbed bathing holidays and long beach walks with a view of Cape Arkona.
Sunny Rügen is the largest island in Germany. It lies off the Pomeranian Baltic coast in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The "gateway" to the island of Rügen is the beautiful Hanseatic city of Stralsund. From Stralsund, the island is connected to the mainland by the Rügen Dam and the Rügen Bridge. The island's rugged coastline is heavily divided by many bays (Bodden or Wieken), peninsulas and headlands.
Rügen is one of Germany's tourist strongholds. The island is so popular with holidaymakers because of its diverse landscape and long, fine-sand beaches, so it is not surprising that the island accounts for about a quarter of all overnight stays in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern every year.
The most important holiday resorts are Binz, Sellin and Göhren, Sassnitz and Glowe as a state-recognised resort. In addition to seaside tourism, however, Rügen's unique natural and cultural landscape also attracts holidaymakers. In addition to the classic sights such as Cape Arkona, the chalk cliffs, the KdF seaside resort in Prora, Granitz hunting lodge or the classicist buildings of Putbus, the Störtebeker Festival in Ralswiek has enjoyed great popularity for several years. On the Jasmund peninsula is the Jasmund National Park, which includes the Stubnitz beech forest along with the famous Rügen chalk cliffs.

Entspannte Tage
The week at the "Old Sea Bear" was absolutely fantastic. The house is super clean and very well equipped. The furnishings are tasteful, so many of us would love to move in forever.

The property was very nice, the house left nothing to be desired. Very good mattresses. A bit far from the beautiful beach, but no problem with a bike. It's good that pets are not allowed.

Wunderschönes Haus mit super Ausstattung
We had a great time in this beautiful holiday home. The amenities are superb, we didn't miss anything. Especially the great selection of books and games are perfect for rainy days. The beach within walking distance leaves nothing to be desired. Highlight is the very nice and totally uncomplicated communication with the landlord and caretaker service. We will gladly come back!
