2020 newly built wooden holiday home in Ljugarn on the
swedish island Gotland.(The sunny island of Sweden)
Gotland has the most hours of sunshine in Sweden!
From the beginning of May until well into October there are beautiful sunny days and mild temperatures!
Beautifully situated house on a hill at the edge of the forest and 700m from the sea with sandy beach.
The rooms: 1 large combination of kitchen, living and dining room with fireplace, 1 guest room with 2 beds, 1 bathroom with shower and 1 storage room. 1 bedroom with double bed.
Additional outside
3 adult bicycles,barbecue,parasol,
Table and 4 chairs for the terrace and firewood (winter) are
are at your disposal.
The house is connected to the city sewage system and has a normal toilet in the bathroom
and has a normal toilet in the bathroom (no dry toilet)!

Ljugarn is located in the east, 45 km from Visby, the capital.
The holiday house is about 600-700m from the white sandy beach.
The beach can be reached quickly on a path behind the house through the forest or by short routes.
The grocery store is within walking distance.
There you can find everything you need for daily life.
Arrival:
Germany to Sweden with TT-Line, Finnlines, Stenaline. (Tip: only book all ferries directly with the provider!) )
Travemünde-Malmö with Finnlines (the cheapest!)
Travemünde-Trelleborg or Rostock-Trelleborg with TT-Line.
With Finnlines 22:00-7:00 and then the Gotland ferry at 15:10 or with Finnlines arrival between 1-3:00, 11:00 in Malmö then the Gotland ferry at 21:10.

The Gotland ferries depart from Nynäshamn, Oskarshamn or
Västervik.
For the summer season, definitely book well in advance. There are flights from Germany to Stockholm (Arlanda) and from there to Visby.
Cheap alternative:
From Stockholm airport take the bus to the ferry (Nynäshamn).
Ferry to Visby and from there taxi or local bus to Ljugarn.

A small place with one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on Gotland.
The Raukar rocks above the beach are easy to find, there are also barbecue areas in the rocks. In the village there is a small harbor, a grocery store, and a gas station.
There are also restaurants, a bakery, a pizzeria, a kiosk, and a beach café with mini golf.
The bakery, gas station, and grocery store are open all year round.
In Brunna Dörren (a larger inn), several bands with changing music perform in the summer.

A large part of the Pippi Longstocking films was filmed on Gotland.
There is a grotto in the northwest and the island of Fårö in the north of Gotland.
Herrvik: Nice restaurant in the harbor.
Katthammarsvik: Oldest fish smokehouse with restaurant on the water.
In July-August there are a lot of raspberries and blackberries around the house.

Dream vacation in Ljugarn
We spent a wonderful week at the holiday home Ljugarn 2 as a family with a teenager.
The accommodation is located on the quiet outskirts of the village, and you hardly notice the neighbors. A small supermarket is available in the village, there are a few restaurants, a small bakery/pastry shop, fish stand, etc. Everything is manageable, but completely sufficient. Everything is easily accessible by bike or car. The furnishings of the house are as described, everything necessary is present and was functional during our stay. The decor is bright and friendly, everything was clean and tidy. There are enough privacy options, but the bedrooms cannot be completely darkened.
The highlight of the holiday home for us was the large terrace with plenty of seating and two loungers. We often had breakfast outside on the terrace in beautiful weather, drank coffee in the afternoons, played board games, and enjoyed watching the wild rabbits hopping by. Fortunately, there were no mosquitoes, and we only rarely saw a few wasps. We were very happy about having our own sauna, but we used it less frequently than we initially thought due to the good weather. The location in Gotland was perfect for our activities. The location of Ljugarn is accessible by a long walk or a short bike/car ride, and there are more great beaches nearby. There are some typical Gotland attractions such as the interesting rock formations "Raukar," old fishing huts "Fiskelägen," historical sites from the Bronze Age, and many noteworthy churches in the vicinity. Communication with the host was quick and uncomplicated. We felt very comfortable in the holiday home. On another vacation in Gotland, we would definitely want to book the accommodation again!

House for Feeling Good
We stayed in the house for 3 weeks and felt very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable. With the partly quite cool temperatures, it was nice to be able to use a sauna. The contact with the landlord was pleasant, quick response to questions or problems. We can recommend the house without reservation. The only downside is the final cleaning, which cannot be booked but must be done by oneself.

Holiday Home Ljugarn 2
The house Ljugarn 2 is modern and has a large master bedroom and a smaller children's bedroom with a bunk bed, also suitable for two adults. The house is very well equipped, e.g. sauna, washing machine, kitchen, dishes, cooking utensils, grill, and patio furniture. Bicycles can be rented from the landlord.
You wash towels and the previous tenant's bed linens upon arrival. Good contact with the landlord in case of any issues, e.g. power outage. From the house, you can reach the beach in 5 minutes by bike or 15 minutes on foot. Shopping is available at the Konsum (15 minutes on foot).

Dream holiday
Great house, very nice contact with the landlord, totally uncomplicated. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will find it there. We enjoyed the time very much.

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche im Ferienhaus Ljugarn 2 als Familie mit einem Teenager verbracht.
Die Unterkunft befindet sich in ruhiger Ortsrandlage, von den Nachbarn bekommt man kaum etwas mit. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist im Ort vorhanden, es gibt ein paar Restaurants, eine kleine Bäckerei/Konditorei, Fischbude, etc. Alles überschaubar, aber vollkommen ausreichend. Mit dem Fahrrad oder Auto ist alles gut erreichbar.
Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist wie in der Beschreibung, alles notwendige ist vorhanden und war bei unserem Aufenthalt funktionstüchtig. Die Einrichtung ist hell und freundlich, alles war sauber und ordentlich. Es gibt genügend Sichtschutzmöglichkeiten, die Schlafzimmer können aber nicht komplett abgedunkelt werden.
Das Highlight des Ferienhauses war für uns die große Terrasse mit genügend Sitzmöglichkeiten und zwei Liegen. Wir haben bei herrlichem Wetter oft draußen auf der Terrasse gefrühstückt, nachmittags Kaffee getrunken, Brettspiele gespielt und es genossen die vorbeihoppelnden wilden Kaninchen zu beobachten. Es gab glücklicherweise keine Stechmücken, Wespen haben wir auch nur selten vereinzelt gesehen.
Über die eigene Sauna hatten wir uns sehr gefreut, haben sie aber dann aufgrund des guten Wetters seltener genutzt als anfangs gedacht.
Die Lage auf Gotland war für unsere Unternehmungen perfekt. Der Stand von Ljugarn ist mit einem langen Spaziergang oder kurzer Fahrrad-/ Autofahrt zu erreichen, weitere tolle Strände sind in der Nähe. Es befinden sich einige gotlandtypische Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die interessanten Felsformationen "Raukar", alte Fischerhütten "Fiskelägen", historische Stätten aus der Bronzezeit und viele sehenswerte Kirchen in der näheren Umgebung.
Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war schnell und unkompliziert.
Wir haben uns im Ferienhaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Bei einem weiteren Urlaub auf Gotland würden wir die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall wieder buchen wollen!

Wir haben 3 Wochen in dem Haus gewohnt und uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, die Betten sind bequem. Bei den zum Teil recht kühlen Temperaturen tat es gut, eine Sauna nutzen zu können. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war angenehm, schnelle Antwort bei Fragen oder Problemen. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Einziger Nachteil ist die Endreinigung, die man nicht buchen kann, sondern selbst vornehmen muss.

Das Haus Ljugarn 2 ist modern und hat ein grosses Elternschlafzimmer und ein kleineres Kinderschlafzimmer mit einem Etagenbett, auch gut geeignet für zwei Erwachsene. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, z.B. Sauna, Waschmaschine, Küche, Geschirr, Kochutensilien, Grill und Terassenmöbel. Fahrräder können vom Vermieter geliehen werden.
Man wäscht Handtücher und die Bettwäsche des Vormieters bei der Ankunft. Guter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter bei eventuellen Problemen, z.B. Stromausfall.
Vom Haus ist man innerhalb von 5 Minuten (Fahrrad) / 15 Minuten Fussweg am Strand. Einkaufsmöglichkeit beim Konsum (15 Min Fussweg).

Tolles Haus, sehr netter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter, total unkompliziert. Wer Ruhe sucht, findet sie dort. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen.
