Dream vacation in Ljugarn

We spent a wonderful week at the holiday home Ljugarn 2 as a family with a teenager.
The accommodation is located on the quiet outskirts of the village, and you hardly notice the neighbors. A small supermarket is available in the village, there are a few restaurants, a small bakery/pastry shop, fish stand, etc. Everything is manageable, but completely sufficient. Everything is easily accessible by bike or car. The furnishings of the house are as described, everything necessary is present and was functional during our stay. The decor is bright and friendly, everything was clean and tidy. There are enough privacy options, but the bedrooms cannot be completely darkened.
The highlight of the holiday home for us was the large terrace with plenty of seating and two loungers. We often had breakfast outside on the terrace in beautiful weather, drank coffee in the afternoons, played board games, and enjoyed watching the wild rabbits hopping by. Fortunately, there were no mosquitoes, and we only rarely saw a few wasps. We were very happy about having our own sauna, but we used it less frequently than we initially thought due to the good weather. The location in Gotland was perfect for our activities. The location of Ljugarn is accessible by a long walk or a short bike/car ride, and there are more great beaches nearby. There are some typical Gotland attractions such as the interesting rock formations "Raukar," old fishing huts "Fiskelägen," historical sites from the Bronze Age, and many noteworthy churches in the vicinity. Communication with the host was quick and uncomplicated. We felt very comfortable in the holiday home. On another vacation in Gotland, we would definitely want to book the accommodation again!

Wonderful Gotland vacation in Ljugarn

As a couple, we had a wonderful vacation on Gotland. Ljugarn is perfectly located to explore the entire island and Farö by car. This way, we could conquer a piece of the island each day and also spend time by the water. Beautiful and diverse natural experiences brought us even closer to the island and our home in Ljugarn. Additionally, Ljugarn itself is very nice for dining out, having a cocktail, or enjoying fresh cakes from the bakery. The furnishings of the house are truly almost perfect. It was spotlessly clean and cozy. The terrace, enveloped in wild greenery, welcomed us in the morning. In the evening, autumn gradually made its presence felt, and we spent cozy hours in the house. Only the beach could be a bit closer.

We were very positively touched and reluctantly departed after 3 weeks, feeling well-rested.

Those who want to spend their vacation in peace and close to nature are absolutely right here. Very nice house on a beautiful property. Everything needed for daily life is available in the house. The landlord just needs to install lighting in the living room, which would be appropriate in spring, autumn, and winter. Furthermore, a kettle is missing, and the Wi-Fi is in need of significant improvement. For us, it was still a very nice vacation. Recommendations: Those who want to ride a bike must obtain detailed maps with the bike paths. There are many routes that run over or directly alongside the main roads, which is not always very pleasant. A visit to the castle and the ruins in front of it is a must, but everything has an entrance fee. One should also not underestimate the size of the island; otherwise, one will spend a lot of time driving.
