Enjoy a relaxing and discovery-filled stay in our authentic Alsatian half-timbered house, located near Colmar. Maison Danner, with an area of about 180 m², offers plenty of space, comfort, and privacy for 2 to 12 people.
The house has been carefully renovated to preserve the traditional charm of an Alsatian house while providing the necessary comfort for a pleasant holiday.
Thanks to its peaceful surroundings, our guesthouse is particularly suitable for families, multi-generational stays, groups of friends, and small groups.

Cancellation terms:
Free cancellation possible up to 60 days before the arrival date.
You will receive a refund of half of the booking amount minus the cancellation fee if you cancel the booking at least 7 days before the scheduled check-in by 12:00 PM Central European Time (CET). If you cancel less than 7 days before check-in, you will not receive any refund.

As we do not live directly in the holiday house, we kindly ask our guests to inform us by phone about one hour before arrival so that we can organize the handover of the keys.
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. The surcharge is €30 per dog.
Bed linen and towels can be provided on request:

Towel and washcloth: €5 per person
The final cleaning will be charged depending on occupancy and effort.
Electricity consumption will be billed according to the agreed terms. You will receive further details about additional costs transparently before booking.

Family vacation in a charming half-timbered house – House Danner
Vacation & Location: We spent wonderful 2 weeks in July/August 2026 as a large family. The baker in the village (super croissants/baguettes) and many excursion destinations in the area offer perfect variety.
Accommodation & Sleeping Comfort:
Very beautiful half-timbered property with a lot of charm and a great, sheltered veranda on the 1st floor. Footsteps from the upper floor are part of the rustic style but did not disturb anyone. The beds provide good sleeping comfort and enough space for 12 people. Equipment & House:
Kitchen well-equipped for 12 people. Washing machine and dryer in the basement are extremely practical. Even at 40 °C, the house could be kept cool by ventilating at night. Tip: Bring a mosquito net, as fly screens (especially on the ground floor) are missing.
Garden & Safety:
Shady garden in front of the house on a very quiet street (cul-de-sac/field path). Enough space for a children's tent and paddling pool. The outdoor table wobbles a bit but can be easily adjusted with the sun. The cellar stairs require some caution (a railing would be great).
Hosts & Neighbors:
Mr. Danner, the cleaning family, and the neighbors are extremely warm, patient, and speak German. Absolute highlights for the children: the tractor ride with the neighbor and filling the kiddie pool!
Conclusion:
A thoroughly successful, unforgettable place for large families in Alsace – highly recommended, we would love to come back!

Cozy house
We (5 people with a dog) felt very comfortable in the cozy house. The house is lovingly furnished and has a lot of charm. The landlords are very nice. With the dog, you are in the meadows and fields in just a few meters. We happily recommend the house.

Beautiful accommodation
We spent a week in the house and all 6 people were completely satisfied with the accommodation.
The house is very lovingly renovated and furnished, and due to its location on the outskirts, it is also very quiet there. There are areas where one can retreat, and the garden and yard can also be used with the available furniture. A charcoal grill was also available. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances (dishwasher, microwave, stove with ceramic cooktop, refrigerator-freezer combo...). The kitchen and living room are connected and very spacious.
Sights in the surrounding area (Colmar, Strasbourg, Kaysersberg, Eguisheim, Ribeauville, Haut-Koenigsbourg...) as well as the vineyards and Rhine plain with Kaiserstuhl are very quickly accessible.
The landlords are very nice and helpful.
Would love to come back!!!

Unterkunft & Schlafkomfort:
Sehr schönes Fachwerkanwesen mit viel Charme und toller, geschützter Veranda im 1. OG. Trittgeräusche aus dem OG gehören zum rustikalen Stil, störten aber niemanden. Die Betten bieten guten Schlafkomfort und ausreichend Platz für 12 Personen.
Ausstattung & Haus:
Küche gut für 12 Personen ausgestattet. Waschmaschine und Trockner im Keller sind äußerst praktisch. Selbst bei 40 °C ließ sich das Haus durch nächtliches Lüften gut kühl halten. Tipp: Mückennetz mitbringen, da Fliegengitter (besonders im EG) fehlen.
Garten & Sicherheit:
Schattiger Garten vor dem Haus an einer sehr ruhigen Straße (Sackgasse/Feldweg). Genug Platz für Kinder-Zelt und Planschbecken. Der Außentisch wackelt etwas, lässt sich aber leicht mit der Sonne verschieben. Die Kellertreppe verlangt etwas Vorsicht (Geländer wäre super).
Gastgeber & Nachbarn:
Herr Danner, die Reinigungsfamilie und die Nachbarn sind extrem herzlich, geduldig und sprechen Deutsch. Absolute Highlights für die Kinder: Die Traktorrunde mit dem Nachbarn und das Befüllen des Planschbeckens!
Fazit:
Ein rundum gelungener, unvergesslicher Ort für große Familien im Elsass – absolute Empfehlung, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Die Vermieter sind sehr nett.
Mit dem Hund ist man in wenigen Metern in den Wiesen und Feldern.

Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll renoviert und eingerichtet und durch die Ortsrandlage ist es dort auch sehr ruhig. Es gibt Bereiche in die man sich zurückziehen kann, dazu kann der Garten und Hof ebenfalls mit den vorhandenen Möbeln genutzt werden. Ein Grill mit Holzkohle stand ebenfalls zur Verfügung. Die Küche ist zeitgemäß ausgestattet (Spülmaschine, Mikrowelle, Herd mit Cerankochfeld, Kühl- Eisschrankkombi....)
Küche und Wohnzimmer sind miteinander verbunden uns sehr großzügig ausgelegt.
Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung (Colmar, Straßburg, Kaysersberg, Eguisheim, Ribeauville`, Hochkönigsburg ...) sowie die Weinberge und Rheinebene mit Kaiserstuhl sind sehr schnell zu erreichen.
Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
