Description
Stay in our historically cozy stone house with a large, semi-circular fireplace and rustic beamed ceiling. Included in all rooms are open stone walls and massive mud walls and give the house a special flair. The living area is furnished with a sofa, two armchairs and a small table for long game nights. The large dining room with open kitchen, a fireplace and a table with 6 chairs provides ample space for the large family. An open wooden staircase leads to the sleeping area with two bedrooms. The bathroom is rustic but with natural stone and mud walls with all comforts. The sheltered garden of about 1,000 square meters with garden furniture invites you to relax but also to play and run. The house "La Mare aux Moines" is located in a quiet place at Montgardon on the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula in the department "La Manche". The fine sandy beaches are just 6 km away. Shops in just 4 km away Location La Haye du Puits with many small shops, supermarkets and a weekly market (every Wednesday). The department "La Manche" is a friendly and fascinating host country. Inside green, outside everywhere blue sea. From Cherbourg to Mont St Michel art and history are always present. Magnificent residences and castles, simple country churches and wonderful cathedrals in Coutances, and the Abbey in Lessay.
Wide sandy beaches, dunes and breathtaking cliffs invite every season. The major landmark of the coast, the Bay of Veys, the island Tatihou, the harbors, the Bay of Mont St Michel and within the country Bocage landscapes, the natural park of marshes and the famous villages make 'La Manche' an exceptional nature experience ,

Great accommodation
We spent three wonderful weeks in this great holiday home with our dog. The furnishings leave nothing to be desired, the corner of Normandy is perfect for people who don't want a big hustle and bustle. We will gladly spend our holidays here again.

Anytime again
Very beautiful holiday home in a quiet secluded location, at night you can hear the cows smacking in the pasture next door. Magnificent starry sky without light pollution. And well suited for smaller children as the garden is fenced. The stairs to the upper floor are dangerous for very small children as there is no child safety lock. But for 5 year olds this is no longer a problem.... Beaches are nearby and easily accessible, but you have to have a car.
We felt very comfortable. If there are any problems, Mr. and Mrs. Wember are always available and can be on site in less than 10 minutes.
Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday in this great holiday home, anytime again.

Ruhig, idyllisch, inmitten der Natur
Wir haben 2 wundervolle Wochen in dem liebevoll restaurierten Haus verbracht. Das Haus ist bestens ausgestattet, in der Küche befindet sich alles was man braucht. Die oben gelegenen Schlafzimmer sind mit Verdunkelungsrollos und Jalousien ausgestattet, so dass es auch bei höheren Temperaturen nicht zu warm wurde.
Wir wurden durch die Gastgeber herzlich empfangen und sie waren auch während unseres Aufenthaltes stets für alle Fragen erreichbar.
Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und die 2 Wochen waren viel zu schnell um!
Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr schön, großzügig (die Bilder lügen nicht) und super ausgestattet. Sehr ruhig gelegen und gleichzeitig eine gute Ausgangsbasis für Strand-, Natur-, Freizeit und Kulturausflüge. Die Abwicklung hat ebenfalls gut funktioniert. Sehr Empfehlenswert!

Schönes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage
Sehr nette Gastgeber, reibungsloser Ablauf - wir haben den unserem Urlaub sehr genossen. Auch unser Hund hat sich hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr schön eingerichtet, alles sauber und besitzt eine gute Ausstattung. Dazu gibt es einen schönen umzäunten Garten mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten.
Das Haus liegt in einem kleinen Ort, mit viel Natur und Ruhe. Von hier aus kann man prima Ausflüge entlang der Küste der Normandie machen und stundenlange Wanderungen am Strand machen. Zum Einkaufen sind es auch nur ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto nach La Haye-du-Puits oder Lessay. In den Ortschaften gibt es viele kleine Läden, Bäcker, Supermärkte, Tankstellen und gute Restaurants. Wir nehmen schöne Erinnerungen mit.

Very hosts, smooth booking - we enjoyed our holiday very much. Also our dog felt very well here. The house is very nicely decorated, everything was clean and has good facilities. There is a beautiful fenced garden with plenty of seating.
The house is located in a small village, with lots of nature and tranquility. From here you can make great trips along the Normandie coast and make hours of walks on the beach. For shopping, it is also just a few minutes drive to La Haye-du-Puits or Lessay. In the villages there are many small shops, bakers, supermarkets, petrol stations and good restaurants. We take nice memories.

Stilvoll, idyllisch, ruhig, perfekt ausgestattet
Das ist das am besten ausgestattete Ferienhaus, dass ich je erlebt habe.
Es liegt idyllisch und sehr ruhig. Es ist so groß, dass es sich auch gut für fünf Erwachsene eignet.
Es gibt einen Garten vor dem Haus und ein Garten hinter dem Haus.
Wer sein Auto stehen lassen möchte, sollte Fahrräder mitbringen, besser noch E-Bikes.

Ein tolles Haus mitten in der Natur
Zum zweiten Mal haben wir zu viert eine wundervolle Woche in diesem tollen liebevoll restaurierten Haus verbracht. Nach längeren oder kürzeren Ausflügen und tollen Küstenwanderungen kamen wir immer wieder gern in unser gemütliches Zuhause auf Zeit zurück.

Delightful!
The house is very well restored, tastefully furnished and equipped with everything. You can very much enjoy the peace and quiet and the embedding in the landscape and immediately feel at home. The garden is beautifully designed and furnished, fenced (practical for people and animals). The beautiful beaches and La Haye de Puits (for shopping or restaurants) are within easy reach by car or bicycle.

Simply perfect
The two of us and our dog spent 14 wonderful days in the house "La Mare aux Moines". If you have a soft spot for old houses, this is the place for you, because you live in a lovingly restored Norman farmhouse with a beautiful garden. The fact that the garden is also fenced in is of course a delight for every dog owner. The house is perfectly equipped. La Mare aux Moines is located in a tiny village / hamlet in a small side street, absolutely quiet and idyllic. If you like cycling, this is the right place for you, as the many small roads invite you to go on long tours to the coast or into the interior of the country. The friendly hosts provide insider tips if needed, so that you can gather many interesting impressions of the country and its people.
In a nutshell: We enjoyed our time very much and will definitely come back.
