Welcome to Fredros
Rustic, winter-proof log cabin with fireplace in the Fredros nature reserve (up to 6 people). Directly on the forest lake incl. boat (canoe bookable) – ideal for fishing. Perfectly located between Sunne, Arvika and Gräsmark for nature holidays & trips to Norway.
The house (ground floor)
Living & cooking: Living room with large open fireplace and flatscreen TV (German TV channels). Integrated kitchen area with fitted kitchen as well as a dining area with corner bench/seating group. Sleeping: One bedroom with double bed and wardrobe, one children's room with bunk bed, as well as another room with bunk bed, wardrobe, and table set. All rooms can be electrically heated.
Bathroom: Bright bathroom with shower, toilet (German standard), and washing machine.
Outdoor area: Large, covered terrace (approx. 30 m²) with seating area and great view of the surroundings. Garden furniture, barbecue, and a sunbathing lawn are available. Additional amenities
The car can be parked directly in front of the house on the property. A rowboat is already included in the price. If needed, there is also a canoe at the house, which can be booked optionally.

The house is situated on a south-facing slope in the middle of a nature reserve.
Lakes & Fishing:
Right by the house: A small forest lake is located only about 50–100 m away.
Swimming lake & Boat: Two larger lakes (Mången and Kymmen) are also nearby. At Mången, about 4 km away, is the boat belonging to the house – ideal for swimming, longer trips, and fishing. Fish stock: The lakes Mången and Treen are excellent areas for pike, perch, Gullspång salmon, Gullspång trout, Brunnhytte trout, as well as various whitefish species.
Leisure & Excursions:
Summer & Winter: In summer, the surroundings invite you to take extensive trips, hikes, and enjoy water sports. In winter, it is a dream area for all who prefer peace and snowy nature.
Norway & Shopping: Due to the proximity to the Norwegian border, day trips to the neighboring country are possible. If nature ever becomes too much for you, you can enjoy excellent shopping in nearby Charlottenberg.
Infrastructure & distances:
Nearest town: Fredros in the municipality of Arvika (Värmland).
Daily necessities (approx. 15 km away): Grocery store, gas station, bank, and a restaurant.

Here is the translation to English: You will receive a refund of half the booking amount minus the cancellation fee if you cancel the booking at least 40 days before the scheduled check-in by 12 noon CET (Central European Time). If you cancel between 40 and 14 days before the scheduled check-in, you will receive a 20% refund. For cancellations made less than 14 days before check-in, you will not receive a refund.

Blockhouse in the mountains
We felt very comfortable. Those seeking peace will find it here. Only two cabins nearby protect one from absolute solitude. And even in the surrounding lakes, one swims alone. However, we had no luck fishing. Instead, every morning we picked a bowl of raspberries right next to the house. Waltraud introduced us to the conditions of the house. And we were welcomed very warmly.

Great stay in a beautiful house!
Beautiful holiday home, in a very nice location, equipped with everything you need. In addition to the well-equipped house (e.g. beautiful wardrobes, ...), the very friendly, helpful landlord, or rather the landlord's mother, who handed over the house to us and also helped us with other advice, deserves special mention.
in short: absolutely recommendable, happy to come back!

The holiday home "Fredros" offers everything you need for a holiday away from civilisation
If you want to escape the noise of the big city and just want to hear NOTHING, you are in good hands here. The house was super clean and designed with a lot of attention to detail. The feather beds were also great, so you can snuggle up in the evenings when it's a bit colder.
It would be nice if there were a gutter on the side with the long terrace. Since it was still dripping for a long time after the rain, we somehow had the feeling that it was raining all the time.
But that was only a small thing. We can recommend the house 100%.

oasis of tranquility
Two weeks of pure relaxation in this rustic log cabin. The facilities are very good and everything we needed was available. The landlords are super nice and you could contact them at any time with questions. The surroundings offer a lot of leisure activities. You can do a lot of hiking, swimming, paddling, and of course fishing. Next time, we will use e-bikes for cycling. We will gladly come back.
