even in summer, "wind fugitives" give an idea of how much the trees on the cliffs are at the mercy of the whims of the sea and wind in winter. Their branches, which "flee" to the east, give them an idiosyncratic shape and the region this astringency. With its flat and steep coasts, beach lakes, bays, spits, dunes, beaches and mudflats, the narrow tongue of land between the sea and the Bodden is one of the most beautiful and varied landscapes in the country.
For this reason, large parts of the area are protected by the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park. In spring and autumn, hundreds of ducks, geese, gulls, swans and cranes fly in huge flocks over the Bodden landscape.
Wustrow, the artists' colony of Ahrenshoop, Prerow with its wide sandy beaches, or the Baltic resort of Zingst - each place has its own distinctive flair. On the northernmost tip of the peninsula, Darßer Ort, the 35.4-metre-high lighthouse is the oldest still-operating navigation mark in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Its buildings also house the Natureum, an exhibition on the plants and animals of the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park.

The small, state-recognised resort of Wieck lies on the shore of the Bodstedter Bodden on the Darß peninsula. The Baltic Sea beach is only a few kilometres away. The image of the former fishing village is characterised by the predominantly pipe-roofed houses.
The uniqueness and tranquillity of the Bodden landscape can be enjoyed in a relaxed way in Wieck. The Darß Forest, part of the National Park, borders directly on the village and offers many opportunities for walks. The well-developed network of cycle paths invites you to go on extensive bike tours

Beautiful holiday on the Darß
We had a wonderful holiday here. The flat is in a very quiet location in the small village of Wieck. The flat is spotlessly clean and super equipped. Nothing is missing. The landlord family is very friendly, informed us well about everything and looked after us. We felt very comfortable there and would recommend this accommodation at any time. We fell in love with the area. Although the weather was still quite cool and at times damp, we were able to do a lot - wonderful beach walks, hikes through the Darß forest, enjoying the peace and quiet on the Bodden or strolling through the lovely little villages........

The apartment really had everything you need for a relaxing holiday - cleanliness is not only written here but also practiced - top maintained and clean apartment, cheap, friendly people - what more could you want!

The best holiday flat for 25 years
Dear family Schumann,
now we are home for a week and we would like to thank you once again for the nice stay with you.
We felt very comfortable and the holiday flat was so far the best we could use in the 25 years after the reunification.

Super holiday so right to relax ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
This was our third time here and it was definitely not the last. The flats are clean, very well maintained and simply very cosy. Everything is perfect, even if the weather is not always so good in February. The surroundings offer so many opportunities to be out and about all day. In the evening you can go out for a delicious meal, and we can highly recommend the Eichenstübchen, and in the morning you can look forward to the delicious bread rolls that the Schumann family personally delivers every morning. You can't get more holiday than this. We will come back again and again

A super cozy apartment :-)
My husband and our little daughter stayed in the vacation apartment for a week and we felt at home. Totally cute furnishings, very clean, and just perfect for relaxing. The Schumann family is very hospitable and always ready to help if needed. The bread roll service was excellent, as one doesn't always feel like getting ready early in the morning and going to the bakery, so this was pure luxury for us. We would vacation in this holiday apartment again and can only recommend it. Warm regards from FAMILY O.

nun sind wir für eine Woche zu Hause und wir möchten uns noch einmal ganz herzlich für den netten Aufenthalt bei Ihnen bedanken.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Ferienwohnung war bisher die beste die wir in den 25 Jahren nach der Wende nutzen konnten.
Wir hoffen dass unsere kleine Eintragung im Gästebuch das auch dementsprechend würdigt.

Das erste Mal auf der Kielstraße und diesmal im Cavelhorster Gang.
Die Wohnungen sind top. Es fehlt an nichts, alles ist super sauber, echt liebevoll bis in kleinste Detail eingerichtet, früh hängen die frischen Brötchen an der Tür...... Was will man noch?
Man kommt an und ist zu Hause.
Auch der Garten - besser geht nicht.
Wieck und der ganze Darss ist im Winter ein Traum. Absolute Ruhe, wunderbare Luft und fast menschenleere Strände.....schöner geht Urlaub nicht.

Ein dickes Lob an Familie Schumann. Super freundlich, tierlieb, jederzeit ansprechbar und eine Wohnung in der es an nichts mangelt. Ich hatte vorsichtshalber scharfe Messer, Salz und Pfeffer und noch so manch anderes mitgenommen, da ich aus Erfahrung wusste das es an bestimmten Teilen in so mancher Ferienwohnung mangelt. Aber hier, alles umsonst mitgenommen, weil, es ist einfach alles da. Auch habe ich selten eine so saubere Ferienwohnung angetroffen. Dazu noch die wundervolle Landschaft und 13 Tage keinen Tropfen Regen. Eins steht fest : Ich komme wieder !!!
Das wird sicherlich nicht unser letzter Urlaub bei Familie Schumann sein. Liebe Grüße...

Kommen seit vielen Jahren und sind immer wieder happy.
Besonders möchten wir die Sauberkeit der Wohnung und die Freundlichkeit unserer Vermieter hervorheben, die sich um alle Belange ihrer Mieter kümmern inkl. morgentlichem Brötchenservice bis vor die Tür und das bei Wind und Wetter.
Außerdem hatten wir Vieles vor Ort und somit zu Fuß erreichbar, unsere Vermieter, der Bäcker (5 Gehminuten), einen Fischladen, "Die Arche" mit kleinen Souvenirs, Café und Postkarten, 2x wöchentlich Biomarkt mit frischem Obst, Gemüse und anderen schönen Sachen, die Fahrradverleiher sind direkt um die Ecke und natürlich viele kleine Gaststätten, Cafés und Restaurants. Die nächste größere Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist ca. 3km entfernt.
Wir können die Ferienwohnung wärmstens empfehlen, da sie durch die Herzlichkeit der Vermieter, die Sauberkeit, die Lage und viel Natur "lebt".

Auf dem Darss ist es auch kein Wunder dass viele Besucher unterwegs sind, eine tolle Landschaft, traumhafte Strände, ein Urwald zum träumen und im Herbst das abendliche Konzert der heimkehrenden Kraniche und Gänse sind ein ziemlich einmaliges Erlebnis. Wenn man dann nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag zurück in die Unterkunft kommt ist es wohltuend in einer etwas ruhigeren Umgebung zu sein. Das Haus ist mit seiner Komplettausstattung bestens geeignet sich seine Verpflegung selbst zuzubereiten und in einer liebevoll ausgestatteten wohnlichen Umgebung zu geniessen. Wer lieber ausgehen möchte findet in der näheren Umbebung in wenigen Minuten Fussweg einige Möglichkeiten sich nicht nur sehr gut und reichlich sondern obendrein auch noch recht günstig zu verköstigen.
Alles in Allem ein gemütlicher und komfortabler Aufenthalt in gepflegtem Ambiente und wohltuender Beschaulichkeit und trotzdem mittendrin in einer Region in der sich jung und alt bestens unterhalten und entspannen können.
Danke, wir haben uns (fast) wie zuhause gefühlt.
Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Garten bietet viele zusätzlichen Möglichkeiten für Groß und Klein: ob Grill oder Strandkorb (für ein Buch und Tasse Kaffe in aller Ruhe!), Tischtennis, Sandkasten mit lauter Spielzeug, Fußball und Basketball – alles wurde gerne benutzt.
Das Ort ist gemütlich, nicht so von uns Touristen überfüllt wie an der Küste, hat schöne Möglichkeiten zum Essengehen, Fahrräder leihen, und einen kleinen Hafen (Tretboote, Rundfahrt mit einem kleinen Schiff). Eine entspannte Radfahrt durch schöne Landschaften – und man ist am Weststrand oder Oststrand, so wie man möchte. Wir haben den Urlaub genossen!

Die Schumann's sind auch richtig nett,
sie bringen die Brötchen fast bis ans Bett.
Am Strand packt einem die Sammellust,
zurück bleibt aller Großstadt-Frust.

doch leider müssen wir nun heim ...

Alles ist sauber und sehr gepflegt und auch die Außenanlagen sind in gutem Zustand und gut gesichert, so dass unsere beiden Kinder auch mal kurze Zeit unbeobachtet spielen können. Auch unser Jüngster, der auf den Rollstuhl angewiesen ist, fühlt sich hier richtig wohl und genießt diese "behütete Freiheit".
Den gelungenen Urlaub runden dann natürlich auch die netten Menschen hier ab, besonders die beiden Vermieter! Man merkt sofort, dass Ihnen die Zufriedenheit ihrer Gäste wirklich am Herzen liegt.
Zu dem so oft gelobten Brötchenservice können wir leider nichts sagen, da mein Mann es genießt morgens selber los zu ziehen um Brötchen zu holen. :-)
Da wir selber (noch) keinen Hund besitzen, hatten wir vor dem ersten Besuch Sorgen, dass man vielleicht sehen oder riechen könnte, dass auch Hunde in den Wohnungen willkommen sind, aber dies hat sich als völlig unnötig erwiesen. Teppiche, Sofas, Betten ja einfach alles ist wirklich sauber und in Top-Zustand!
Wir werden auch weiterhin gerne hierhin kommen, natürlich auch wegen der zentralen Lage auf dem Darss, von der man alle anderen Orte (Ahrenshoop, Born, Zingst, Prerow, etc.) bequem mit dem Fahhrrad erreichen kann.
Bei schlechtem Wetter, aber natürlich auch bei strahlendem Sonnenschein sind mit dem Auto die größeren Städte ebenfalls gut erreichbar: Rostock, Stralsund, Wismar, Greifswald, aber auch die Insel Rügen.
Insgesamt also bei jeden Wetter immer ein Ort für einen gelungenen Urlaub (auch oder gerade mit Kindern)!
Vielleicht noch ein größerer Fernseher für den Fall der Fälle........
Ansonsten liegt Wieck schön zentral auf dem Darß und man kann vieles machen, von wandern, Rad fahren, am Bodden laufen oder in 5 min an die Ostsee fahren.
Viele Möglichkeiten zum Essen gehen. Auch die Steilküste von Ahrenshoop ist nicht weit.
Kinder wird viel Abwechslung geboten.
Wieck ist ein ruhiger erholsamer Ort, die Menschen nett
Der Brötchenservive morgens ist schön und man gewöhnt sich schnell daran.
Rund um, kaum etwas zum nörgeln, wenn das Wetter noch passt und das war dieses Jahr so , dann ist es nur zu empfehlen.
Es ist zwar etwas teuer aber vielleicht doch gerechtfertig, denn es ist alles ganz neu und in einem Topzustand. Ausserhalb der Saison dann doch günstiger.
Aber ich komme wider und bis dann, Alles Gute für Alle.
Aber wir haben die Zeit bei bestem Wetter, in der excellenten Ferienwohnung und einer traumhaften Landschaft genossen.

Die wunderschöne, zum Ausruhen einladene Gartenanlage mit Sonnenliegen und Strandkörben.
Schön war es auch, die Brötchen morgens an der Haustür hängend zu haben.
Von dem kleinen gemütlichen Ort Wieck aus konnten wir viele Unternehmungen starten. Wir konnten jeden Tag eine andere Route wählen:
Ob am Bodden entlang Richtung Born und weiter nach Ahrenshoop
oder
durch den urigen Darsser Wald zum Weststrand,
zum Leuchtturm mit Rad, Bahn oder Kutsche,
über die Wiesen am Wiecker See und Liechensee vorbei, nach Prerow und weiter auf dem Ostseedeich nach Zingst,
oder
mit dem Dampfer, die Fahrräder im Gepäck nach Bodtstedt, Born oder Althagen (Ahrenshoop), und dann per Rad weiter nach Wustrow und an der Steilküste zurück.
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.
Wir werden Sie auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.
