Our "Haus Ella" is barrier-free and therefore also easily accessible for wheelchair users.
Spacious and comfortable for 2 people, but there is also enough room for 4 people.
You can expect a living-dining room with sofa bed for 2 persons, a pellet stove and HD TV, a bedroom with double bed, writing corner and HD TV, a fully equipped kitchenette as well as a daylight bathroom with floor-level shower, raised WC and a shower chair if required.
For spending time in the fresh air, a cosy seating area with parasol and barbecue is available for your exclusive use in front of the holiday home.
For excursions by bike, along a beautiful river landscape with cultural heritage along the way in the "Grimm Heimat Nordhessen", in-house bicycles are available free of charge, one of which has a safety child seat on the luggage carrier.

Location and surroundings of object
Altenburschla, formerly the most beautiful village in the state and nation in the competition "Our village should become more beautiful", with its picturesque half-timbered houses, is one of the oldest settlements in the Werra valley.
Embedded in a densely wooded and mountainous landscape on the former border line of the GDR, today part of the "Green Belt" with rare animal and plant species, it lies directly on the Werra in the Frau-Holle-Land Geo-Nature Park, which is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Germany.
Discover natural beauties such as the Elfengrund waterfall at P5 and relics from the time before the border was opened at P6 and P12 along 24 premium hiking trails.
On a canoe tour on the Werra you will also cross the former border area to the GDR on one of Germany's most beautiful waterways.

Enjoy your holiday with excursions to the Hohe Meißner (the kingdom of Frau Holle) with its mountain game park and skiing and tobogganing in winter, to the Hainich National Park with its treetop trail and wild cat village, to Lake Werratal or to Eisenach with Wartburg Castle.
In the large, natural garden with direct access to the Werra, with a boat landing stage just a few metres away, you will find cosy spots where you can watch the breeding of the many songbirds, the dance of the butterflies over the wild herb meadow or the swarming of the bats in the evening.
You are welcome to try out your cooking skills on the wood cooker in our "barn kitchen", just like in the old days.
