Description

Welcome to the "good old days". With our cosy holiday home we take you back to the time of our grandparents and invite you to spend relaxing and peaceful days in the Dübener Heide.

The ground floor has an eat-in kitchen, a living room with a wood-burning stove, a spacious hallway with access to the bedrooms, as well as a shower and WC. In the attic, 3 cosy bedrooms (1 double room, 1 single room, 1 twin room) await you.

The outbuilding can also be used. You can store your bicycles here or hang up wet clothes to dry.

If you want to sit outside or have a barbecue, you can also do so in the garden, which is for your exclusive use.

Location and surroundings of object

The holiday home is located on the outskirts of Großwig, a district of the municipality of Dreiheide, and has cycling and hiking paths from the front door. A natural outdoor swimming pool is not far behind the adjacent meadows. You live on the edge of the Dübener Heide, whose forests with large beech and pine trees are waiting to be explored. The Zadlitzbruch in the immediate vicinity is a beautiful gem in the middle of the nature park.

You can also visit our beautiful Renaissance town of Torgau (15 min.) directly on the Elbe, which is home to Hartenfels Castle, among other things. Historically, Torgau has a lot to offer. Torgau was also shaped by the Reformation and you will learn about the work of Martin Luther, his wife Katharina von Bora and his companion Melanchton

in 1945, the Elbe was the site of the legendary handshake between a Russian and an American soldier, who symbolically announced the end of the war. Torgau has therefore been celebrating the traditional Elbeday at the end of April for many years.

But other excursions are not neglected either: here are a few examples: Bad Düben (20 min.), Leipzig and Wittenberg (1 h), Spreewald (1.5), Berlin and Dresden (2 h). The district of Großwig is also called the village of mills. Not so long ago, 4 mills were in operation in Großwig, 2 water mills and 2 windmills. One of the mills has been preserved and stands on a small hill on the road to Süptitz. This mill can also be visited on request.

Cancellation terms:

You will be refunded the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 4 days before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 4 days before check-in, you will be refunded 50% of the booking amount minus the price for the first night and the cancellation fee.

The holiday home is nestled in a large natural garden with outdoor seating. Behind the property is a natural outdoor swimming pool and ample opportunity for a walk. Cycling and hiking trails are there for you from the front door. But you can also make day trips such as to Torgau (10 min), Bad Düben (15 min), Wittenberg or Leipzig (1 h), Spreewald (1.5 h), Berlin or Dresden (2 h). Please contact us.
