This newer detached villa in a fantastic location directly above the sea with super sea view is located on an approximately 1000 square gr. Garden plot, altitude about 25 m. The garden in front of the house is laid out with Bougainville, roses, palm trees and other Mediterranean ornamentals.

The spacious, light-filled house (about 90 square meters) is surrounded on 3 sides by panoramic veranda (105 sqm porch!) Villa Vanessa is in the range of Santa Maria, but already a bit out of the narrow streets that connects S. Maria with Coccorino Mare. It is just as fast at the small intimate beach of Coccorino Mare as well as to the large sandy bay of Santa Maria. In Santa Maria you will find a good selection of pizzerias and restaurants, even bars and small grocery stores. From there a bus on the coastal road to Tropea in the summer months. S. Maria in summer is much livelier than the more contemplative Coccorino Mare, so you have the choice between a lebhalten and a tranquil location just outside the front door. Capo Vaticano offers a variety of large and small idyllic coves with sand, rock, gravel, rock - ideal for any kind of water sports. Many beautiful, even long sandy beaches can be found between Capo Vaticano and Tropea. Most beaches are easily and quickly accessible. The most famous bays:

Coast between Coccorino and Nicotera: Between Coccorino and Joppolo on some kilometers spectacular rocky and steep coast, by boat are some tiny coves accessible.
Joppolo is like in a shell in a fertile bay, stretching up the mountainside. The promenade extends from a pine forest to a massive Saracen. The beach consists of rock, stone and gravel, at some places the sand is heaped in the summer.
At the end of a vast mountainous coastline the ancient town of Nicotera perched with its romantic alleys and squares over the deep green plain of Nicotera Marina, which continued and wide sandy beach (with individual beach facilities) drags against the waterfront.
Tonicello and Tono: sand belt uncrowded, accessible by individual Stichsträßchen towards Tropea, even in midsummer; individual bars and Residences, in between rocky sections. Here are Residence Cala di Volpe, Villaggio Il Gabbiano, Hotel La Conchiglia and Villaggio Athragon.

The beaches around Tropea received for the 5th time in a row this highest award, making us the most beautiful and cleanest in Italy!

Views of the sea, Mount Etna, and the Aeolian Islands included.
Many differently oriented terrace spaces.

We highly recommend
We arrived late in the evening. The cottage is beautiful. We could hear the sound of the waves, but we didn't expect them to be so close. We were surprised in the morning to find the sea outside our window. Private sea access is a 3-minute walk away. Beautiful place. Wonderful vacation. You can see Sicily. The cottage is equipped with everything. The tap water has a salty taste, but it's not a problem. We just need mineral water for drinking. Very happy. Peace and quiet. Tropea is not far away. We want to live there.

Beautiful location with great views of the Lipari Islands.
Relatively lonely house with a beautiful ridge and a great view. Good air, as long as no one is burning their garden waste, as is often the case in southern Italy. When the weather is nice, the large terrace can be used. Unfortunately, the sea is not suitable for swimming because of the cliffs on site. Great sunsets.

Well-equipped, spacious holiday home in a quiet location with a beautiful view
Ideal for 4 holidaymakers looking for relaxation. Very well equipped bungalow with great outdoor ambience, unfortunately the barbecue was missing
The approach is partly steep, narrow, with serious potholes
Nothing is possible on foot. For excursions you always have to climb a few hundred metres to Ricadi.
Adventurous access from the house to the rocky seashore
Conclusion: Price/performance ok, recommendable.

Fantastic location and view!
We really enjoyed our stay and especially the fantastic quiet location directly above the sea! The support by Mrs. Maisel, who was always there for us, was also great! We were able to borrow a very good barbecue for a deposit (you just have to register in advance). We had to get used to the roads, but Calabria is beautiful!
