Grannelia is a typical Swedish red wooden house. there is room for 4 people comfortably. The house has three bedrooms, a small bathroom with toilet and shower and a large living room. There is hot and cold running water in the house. The living room is equipped with a cosy stove. The heating is electric
From the terrace you have a wonderful view of Lake Grann. The house is detached, so you can find a sunny spot all day. Alternatively, you can find a sunny spot on your own jetty, which is a 2-minute walk away (150 metres) - just walk down the annex

The lakefront property has its own private jetty and bathing jetty!
Dalsland is considered Sweden in miniature. From Gothenburg, you can get there in two hours by train or car.
Visitors from Germany can also arrive in Gothenburg by ferry from Fredrikshavn or Kiel and be in Dalsland within two hours. This makes Dalsland ideal for short holidays in the early and late season. More than lakes await anglers, hikers or canoe or kayak riders. Or simply to relax in nature. Dalsland is Sweden's region with the most lakes. Here, water, forest and nature are always within reach. Grann, the "home lake", is a safe fishing lake
In the north there are deep primeval forests and clear forest lakes, in the south shallow sandy beaches and smooth bathing rocks. You can go on a beaver safari or pet moose. The forests are full of berries and mushrooms in summer. Lake Grann is known for its large pike.

Beautiful Swedish house in a wonderful location.

The house is very well equipped, situated with a beautiful view of Lake Grann. The boat with motor works perfectly.
The peace and quiet and the starry sky in the evening are dreamlike.

Restful silence

The house is really equipped with everything you need for daily life. I don't need to say any more about it. From the toaster to the dishwasher and washing machine, everything was in order
Even chopped firewood was available!
Since the landlord obviously also uses the house privately, it was only a little irritating for us at first that there were also many "private" items in the household goods and the kitchen

The huge property is located on a sparsely inhabited peninsula, surrounded by lots of nature. The location is really beautiful and ABSOLUTELY quiet
There are a few larger "towns" in the immediate vicinity (20-25km) where you can buy groceries etc. and a beautiful national park (Tresticklan) is also within easy reach.

Lake Grann, which is rather small by Swedish standards, turned out to be a real treasure and it was wonderful to explore it by motorboat or canoe
Especially in the southern part we discovered wonderful bathing bays where we could splash around completely undisturbed
Bathing on the jetty was also possible, of course.
As a suggestion for improvement, I would recommend a ladder at the front of the jetty to get out of the water better. Getting in is automatic ;-)

And undoubtedly the highlight of our stay was the encounter with the island lizard. (Yes, it really exists)

As a final point, I would like to mention the goodwill of the Diemer family, as the stay was actually planned last year. Despite the cancellation at short notice, the Diemer family did not charge for any loss. Many thanks again for that

Beautiful holiday home in an absolutely quiet location !

Very nicely and familiarly furnished wooden house with a modern, well-equipped kitchen. The living room and bedroom are also very nicely furnished. Only the bathroom is -typically Swedish- a bit spartan. The covered terrace was a good place to stay. The motorboat with 5 hp is good and the engine works perfectly. Very quiet and very relaxing. Nice contact with the landlord. We can recommend it to others. Thank you very much Fam. Diemer.

Gladly again...

+ For a Swedish cottage that has WiFi, German TV channels, and a dishwasher, that is already a very good equipment.
- The bathroom is typically Spartan in Swedish style.
+ The landlord can always be reached and is always helpful.
+ There was a basic stock of spices and cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and other things available. Practical for the arrival day.
+ The location is very beautiful.
Everything was nice. Would love to come again...

Tolles Ferienhaus

We stayed in this holiday home for two weeks in August and felt very comfortable there. The large windows in the living room offer a great view, the kitchen is well equipped, and the rooms are cozy. The landlord is very friendly and responds quickly and helpfully to any concerns.

Grannelia

We spent a wonderful holiday in Sweden at Lake Grann in Dalsland in July. Everything was perfect!
The decisive factors were the wonderful weather - bathing weather, blueberry season, the fishing (unfortunately only successful once), the absolute tranquillity of the lake and the great location of the holiday home. Pure relaxation.
The communication with the landlord was great. Every question, no matter when, was answered promptly.

A small but well-structured and functional house, located in a fantastic landscape on a quiet peninsula, with everything the Swedish holidaymaker needs. Very nice views from the kitchen, living room, and terrace of the pike-rich lake. Room layout ideal for a family of 4. Rowboat and motor as well as canoe in good condition. The shore and jetty itself are not necessarily recommended for those with limited mobility. Great hiking opportunities in the surrounding area. Nature reserve 20 km away - highly recommended. But the roads in the immediate vicinity also allow for a walk, which is particularly advantageous for dog owners. Very nice contact with the landlord.
