Kempen has about 120 inhabitants and is situated in the high valley of the Eggegebirge - southern Teutoburg Forest (350 m). The highest elevation, the Velmerstot (464 m), can be reached from us in one hour. Particularly noteworthy is the quiet location of the village away from main roads, but at the same time centrally located to the larger towns of Detmold (approx. 18km) and Paderborn (approx. 18km). A camping site and a tractor museum are also part of the village.

The way from you to the A33 - exit Paderborn - Elsen - Bad Lippsringe
from the A30 (east/Netherlands) at the Osnabrück-Süd junction towards Paderborn/Kassel
from the A 2 (West/Hanover) at the Bielefeld junction towards Paderborn/Kassel or
from the A 44 (east/Dortmund) or (south/Kassel) at the Wünnenberg-Haaren junction in the direction of Paderborn/Bielefeld.
At the Paderborn-Elsen-Bad Lippspringe exit, take the B 1 towards Detmold/Hameln. Drive until shortly before Horn (approx. 22km), turn left and left again in the direction of Altenbeken (follow sign Traktorenmuseum). After c. 7.2 km, take the Kempen exit, the 2nd house on the right.
