The Elbwiesenhaus am See is nestled in a small lake landscape in the Elbvorwiesen of the Lenzener Wische in Wootz and was opened by us in mid-May 2015. The small half-timbered house is furnished in a nostalgic country house style. The 27sqm cosy living room with its fireplace also offers the perfect place to relax during the cold season. The dining area is also in the living room and adjoins the fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms, one furnished with a double bed and separate mattresses and the other with a single day bed. A large antique linen closet offers storage space even for longer stays. The outdoor area convinces with the large sun terrace and a fully fenced 500sqm orchard. There are 2 sun loungers and garden furniture as well as a charcoal grill at your disposal. You can store your car and bicycles in the garage. Here, in the midst of unspoilt nature on the Elbe, you will recover from your everyday stress. Simply let your soul dangle. A warm welcome!

From the bedroom you look out over a small lake landscape. The house is located in the middle of a meadow landscape, characterised by the typical pollarded willows of the region. It is about 250m to the Elbe. The house is on the outskirts of the village. Farmer Mertens provides fresh eggs and milk. Just drop by
The small village of Wootz lies directly on the Elbe in the biosphere reserve. If you look out of the kitchen window here, you will see deer, cranes or, in summer, the stork looking for frogs in the meadows. All is still right with the world here! Many small bathing lakes invite you for a refreshing swim or a fishing trip in summer. The white beach on the Elbe is only 250 metres away on foot, so the Baltic Sea can pack it in. Rare animal and plant species can be admired by nature lovers. If you have your bike with you, push up the dyke and cycle along northern Germany's most beautiful cycle paths, always along the Elbe, past the enchanting Elbe valley meadows. Our region is characterised by its beautiful half-timbered houses. There is a very old chapel right in the Wootz, which can of course be visited on request.

Fishing vacation at the Elbe river
The drive to the holiday home was already great. Little traffic and lots of beautiful nature.
A stork couple nested on the neighboring property and collected frogs and insects on the meadows in front of the house.
On a short walk to the Elbe, there were deer, pheasants, and many birds to be seen.
The house was super cozy. The view over the meadows was wide and calming.
We would come back.

Holidays in a green idyll
The Elbwiesenhaus is located in the dignified Wootz in the middle of the beautiful Elbe valley meadows. The area invites you to go for long walks and bicycle tours, but you can also discover old castles in some places
The holiday home is very comfortably furnished and we felt at home from the first minute. The furnishings also leave no room for complaint. Even for extensive cooking, there was pretty much everything the heart desires in the kitchen.
In addition, our twins could play to their heart's content in the large garden and in the evenings we could barbecue together on the spacious terrace.
We hope to spend one of our next holidays here again and can highly recommend this holiday home.

Beautiful location super garden
For us and our dog, the garden was the greatest. We could let the dog out alone. The fencing was perfect. The house and the terrace were very nice. However, the stairs to the upper floor require a bit of athleticism.

Many thanks
We spent a wonderful, relaxed week in the wonderful Elbwiesenhaus. We went on wonderful walks with the dog every day and saw lots of animals, including the white-tailed eagle.
At the beginning of the week there were still thick ice floes on the Elbe, which clinked loudly at night, and then sometimes sunshine - wonderful landscapes, lots of peace and nature. We enjoyed our stay very much
The house is lovingly furnished and leaves nothing to be desired, there is everything you need to feel comfortable when you return from your hike
Mrs Ulrich welcomed us very nicely and was always approachable, just like our landlords
A great stay in a beautiful place - we will be happy to come back

Pure recreational holiday
A quiet holiday home in a very peaceful environment.
Those looking for relaxation and tranquility are in the right place.
The house is well-equipped, with a beautiful garden (ideal for dogs). The steep staircase to the bedroom may take some getting used to, especially for tall people (mind your head) and older people who are not as mobile.

Recovery from the city
I'll keep it short, lots of peace, pure nature, super nice accommodation, super nice hosts. For cyclists and people with dogs who need a break from the city, it's an optimal area. We would come back anytime. As the Franconian says, "Fits well."

Your beautiful house, nestled in the magnificent Elbe floodplains, is truly outstanding. We have spent a wonderful week here. In addition to the absolutely complete furnishings, the rest of the equipment is also remarkable. Everything you usually have to bring to a holiday home was provided: spices, wood, charcoal, detergent, and more. Definitely number 1 in our vacation rental ranking ;-)

Great house in an idyllic location
We wanted a quiet and relaxing holiday, and our expectations were exceeded. A super beautiful house with a beautiful room layout in an idyllic location!
The house is equipped with everything. Very nice and quiet location, only about 300m on foot to the Elbe River. Impressive small lake landscape behind the house. A paradise for humans and animals! We will gladly come back! Highly recommended!
