Your holiday home is located in the southeastern Harz, about 7 km from the shopping facilities of the district town Sangerhausen, in the heart of Germany. This region, rich in history, offers many witnesses of both the past and the present. To reach regional destinations (Brocken, Nebra Sky Disk, cathedral city Naumburg, sparkling wine city Freyburg, Handel city Halle an der Saale, Weimar, Erfurt, Leipzig) you need only about 1 hour. Among the tourist highlights in the nearby area (Europa Rosarium Sangerhausen (largest rose collection in the world), historic European town Stolberg, Joseph’s Cross near Stolberg (largest iron double cross in the world), Imperial Palace Tilleda, Bad Frankenhausen Panorama Painting (largest painting in the world), Heimkehle (largest karst cave in Germany), Barbarossa Cave, Rübeland Stalactite Caves, Western town Pullman City, Wippra summer toboggan run, Lutherstadt Eisleben (birth and death house of Martin Luther, Luther pulpit), Hexentanzplatz, Quedlinburg, Mining Adventure Center “Röhrigschacht Wettelrode”) are only a few minutes away. The holiday apartment is located above our forest café, with its own pastry chef.
The opening hours (Mon. and Tue. closed Uhr) give you the opportunity to talk to us about half-board or to purchase everyday necessities from us. The quiet edge-of-the-forest location by the lake invites you to take a refreshing swim in the natural pool in summer. In winter, it is suitable for ice skating or cross-country skiing. For hikers and mountain bikers, we have maps and informational material available. Anglers are welcome at the lake and can obtain a permit from us. The lake “Kunstteich” was created in 1728 as an energy reservoir for the mining industry at that time. Today it is one of the last of its kind.

Recommended.
It was a very nice weekend with our dog, unfortunately too short. The room was very comfortable with a view of the lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come again.
