4 adult bicycles available for rent. The property is located in the forest settlement of de Borg; however, the property is also very sunny with shaded areas. Nearby, outside the fee-based castle center, there is a public playground for young children.
Lake Dankern is just a few minutes away with water skiing, boat rentals, surfing, a diving school, and further water sports opportunities. The holiday center is about a 10-minute walk away. Since we only rent privately, entrance to the castle grounds is not included.

The approximately 750 sqm property is also located in the rental area of the holiday center Schloss Dankern,
as already described above (but not in the castle center).
Lake Dankern, with a beautiful sandy beach and shallow water access, making it suitable for small children, is located outside the castle center and is freely accessible to everyone.
Separate dog beach (due to allergy reasons, we can only allow non-shedding dogs in the house.

Moorland museums, in Hesepe or Netherlands Emmer Compascuum, to the North Sea to Emden via the nearby highway A31,
a detour to Leer is worthwhile
70 km away is Emden, about. half to three-quarters of an hour by car,
Cloppenburg is also worthwhile with the museum village . . . .
In Holland, 30 km away, the zoo and butterfly park, a beautiful little town, also with good shopping opportunities.

Very beautiful holiday home
We had a very nice week in the holiday home. The holiday home is clean and furnished with great attention to detail. You feel very comfortable. Everything you need (even for cooking yourself) is available. The Wi-Fi is excellent throughout the house and very fast for a holiday accommodation. The communication and key handover is excellent. We would love to come back.

We were all excited.
Wonderfully cozy and very well maintained house with a large garden. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Everything went very smoothly and we felt incredibly comfortable and had a great stay. The beautiful Dankernsee lake can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. Highly recommended!

Autumn holidays 2021 at Haus Sonnenschein
We, a family with 3 children, had a wonderful time at Haus Sonnenschein. There were play options both outside and inside for the children. The vacation home has everything you need. It is situated beautifully in a green area. Not far away is a great playground. Dankernsee is very beautiful with many activity options.
