Description
The charming vacation home "Hänsel" is quietly located at the end of a dead-end street in the forest settlement 'de Borg' at Rehweg 166. It is one of the two semi-detached houses "Hänsel and Gretel" that can also be booked together if desired. The adjoining terraces can be used either separately or together.

GROUND FLOOR:
"Hänsel's" kitchen is equipped with a microwave, oven, dishwasher, and fridge-freezer combination. In the living room, there is an internet-enabled satellite TV, a DVD player, and a stereo system.
There is also a guest toilet and a storage room on the ground floor.
1st floor:
All 3 bedrooms of the house are located on the upper floor.
Also a bathroom with shower, toilet, washing machine, and dryer.
The living area of the house is completely tiled and the bedrooms are equipped with PVC flooring. Attic:
Optionally, another sleeping area with two beds can be used in the converted attic.
Garden:
In the adjacent garden, there is a small shed that provides space for brought bicycles or other travel utensils.

We are also happy to welcome your four-legged friend. We would like to point out that animals should stay on the ground floor, as not all guests may want to sleep in a bed where dogs have previously slept. We reserve the right to charge for any cleaning costs incurred due to non-compliance.

Bed linen, towels, and dish towels are not included in the price and can be added for a surcharge of €14.00 per person. Not far from the holiday home is the holiday center Schloss Dankern (approx. 900m) as well as Dankern Lake (approx. 500m), which invites you to enjoy water sports and swimming.
Furthermore, Haren and its surroundings offer a rich variety of leisure activities, and the beautiful Emsland provides ample opportunities for extended walks and bike rides.
Within a radius of approx. 15km, you can reach, for example, the city of Meppen. a riding stable, a go-kart track, a golf course, an excavator park, or a trampoline park.
A visit to the city of Papenburg could also enrich your vacation.

The holiday semi-detached house is located in the Dankern holiday centre at the end of a dead-end street. The Dankernsee is
approx. 800 m away and can be reached via a footpath. Haren, with its approx. 24,000 inhabitants, is a state-recognised recreation and holiday resort. The Dankernsee invites you with a 3 km long sandy beach, water skiing, boat rental and diving school. In the Dankern holiday centre (entrance fee) your children will find a 5 ha playground with approx. 130 playground equipment and for rainy days a large indoor playground and the Topas fun pool. The Emslandring (go-kart track) is nearby. Attractive day trips include: Meyer Werft shipyard ( 43 km, booking required ) Zoo in Emmen, Holland
( 25 km ), Bourtange Fortress, Holland ( 32 km ) , Emsland Moor Museum ( 25 km ) and a dredging park.
Haren and the surrounding area are ideal for cycling on many signposted routes with various distances. ( Bicycle rental on site ). There are also tours with the Emma ( train on the road ) and with the passenger ship Amisia.

Super nice holiday home in a quiet location
We spent a week here with two dogs and were very pleased with the house's equipment. Since it is still rare today that two large dogs are welcome in a holiday home, we were very happy that it was no problem for the Tillmann family.

Great house with generous amenities
We booked the Gretel house again this year and were very satisfied. We went on vacation with 4 adults and two children. The way to the center of Dankern with the arcade and all the play and sports facilities was not too far for us. We were there every day, and we were able to let the dog run outside on the property once. We would be happy to vacation at the Gretel house again anytime. Oh, and there was also a sandy beach by the lake with water skiing options.

beautiful house
We found the week very nice.
the beach was easily accessible on foot, but too far for seniors
shopping facilities were easily accessible by car.
we had the house gretel, which was equipped with everything we needed.
the only thing we recommend is to have anti mosquito spray with you as there are no fly screens on the windows and the annoying beasts were very mean to us :)
