Thatched cottage in country style on 1,300 sqm large dune plot on Ameland, for up to 8 people. Due to the equipment, the house is suitable for a North Sea holiday for all seasons.
On a protected dune plot in close proximity to the North Sea beach, this beautiful thatched cottage. Tastefully decorated with great attention to detail, it is here cozy for two, but also large enough for up to 8 people.
In every season you can spend a wonderful vacation on the North Sea here. Antique tiles and old Dutch softwood furniture give the house its special atmosphere. The sink and ceramic tile in kitchen and baths are handmade by indivudueller default. The passenede Porcelain Villeroy and Boch emphasizes the joy of cooking in the perfectly equipped kitchen.
Each bedroom has a special color theme: marine blue, salmon, dune grass green and sunshine yellow. The bedding is tailored to fit. In 6 x 3m large pool, the little ones can play all day in bad weather. The jet stream is also preparing endurance swimmers joy. The many paintings that are found in the house are original lady of the house.

Cosy thatched dream cottage on the North Sea on Ameland with luxury as pool, sauna, bath, fireplace to relax and unwind. Protected dune plot in close proximity to the North Sea beach. Individual tasteful design with great attention to detail. Comfortable for two, but also large enough for up to 8 people.
The luxurious house was completed the year 95/96. It lies in a grown holiday home area in the dunes, just 5 minutes walk from the North Sea beach. This area is characterized by a pure-thatched building. It lies between the towns Nes and Buren, separated by a small pine grove from the other cottages and self catering facilities. Golf, water sports or just walking - the luxury holiday home "De Meeuw Jonathan" is close to numerous opportunities for an individual holiday experience.
From the architect's planning and actual construction to furnishing and interior design, high standards were used as a basis for the private Ameland House "De Meeuw Jonathan". Ancient and traditional, typical for the North Sea, Holland and Friesland building materials and device should be combined with new and comfortable equipment. To relax and unwind the Ameland cottages extremely generous living area, a cozy sleeping area and on-site pool with sauna is perfect.
Our private-Ameland Holiday home "De Meeuw Jonathan" is also an ideal starting point to explore the Frisian North Sea coast by bike or "hike" to. Each of the five North Sea Islands, Texel, Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland and Schiermonnikoog and the entire North Holland coast offer unique nature impressions.

On a protected dune plot in close proximity to the North Sea beach lies this beautiful thatched cottage. Tastefully decorated with great attention to detail, it is cozy for two, but also big enough for up to 8 people. Ameland belongs to the West Frisian Islands and is considered the island with the most preserved Frisian fishing villages. In addition to the main town of Nes there are three other small villages whose image is characterized by the listed commander's houses. The preservation of these ancient buildings and the original character of the villages gives Ameland special charm.
The 45-minute mainland crossing is long enough to get away from it all and short enough to plan day trips on the mainland. Interesting excursion destinations include: Dokkum, Leeuwarden, Groningen and Sneek and Lemmer on the IJsselmeer.
Ameland has 90 km of cycle paths that meander through the dune landscape, but also through meadows and fields of the hinterland - always away from the traffic.
Nes has succeeded in harmoniously integrating restaurants, cafes and shops in the old village center and thus - despite all activity - to maintain a very cozy atmosphere such as in the "Drie beams" in Nes, where you can taste the exquisite Euro-Asian cuisine should.
In summer, boat trips to the seal plate and the neighboring islands of Terschelling and Schirmonnikoog are offered. Between Nes and Buren lies an extensive, freely accessible play and leisure area with water landscape and various adventure playgrounds, as well as Pedalo rental. Each of the five North Sea islands, Texel, Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland and Schiermonnikoog offers unique natural impressions. They all impress with a largely untouched nature and animal species that can not be found anywhere else. On Terschelling you can observe numerous black-headed gulls, stilt-willows and spoonbills in a tranquil heathland. The whole island of Schiermonnikoog is even a single national park.
The mainland coast also invites to cycle tours along the Wadden Sea and long walks.
Our holiday home "De Meeuw Jonathan" is also an ideal base for exploring the Dutch North Sea coast.

Cancellation terms:

House in the Dunes
We had a wonderful stay at the Möwe despite the mixed weather. Mrs. von Sobbe was a very nice contact person, and the house was in very good condition, absolutely clean and well-maintained, furnished with great attention to detail. We felt very comfortable there.

beautiful authentic Ameland house
We felt very comfortable with our 3 children in the Seagull Jonathan. The house is very spacious and lovingly furnished to a high standard. The location directly behind the dunes, easy access to Buren and Nes by bike, as well as the supermarket, was very practical. We were almost happy about a rainy (house) day here.

Relaxation begins as soon as you arrive at the holiday home
The holiday home radiates peace and cosiness from the very first moment. It has been furnished with great attention to detail. The overall equipment leaves nothing to be desired

Dear Mrs. v. Sobbe, Once again a few lines. Now we are back home and everyday life will soon catch up with us.
