Description

This holiday home offers fantastic views over the natural park of Sierra Almijara down to the coast. It has a tasteful interior with a spacious living / dining room with fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen (microwave, oven, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, coffee maker, toaster ...). The three cozy bedrooms, equipped with quality furniture, can accommodate six people. The bedrooms have mosquito nets on the windows and ceiling fans create a gentle breeze. In the living room there is a couch that can be converted into a bed for a 7th person.
Even families with babies are Welcome, because there is a baby bed (60 x 120cm) with grid available. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom. Another bathroom is available. Each with shower and toilet.

Outside you will find a lovely private pool (7 x 4m), an outdoor kitchen with grill and refrigerator, shower, deck chairs and garden furniture. Above the house is a small palm grove with hammocks. Here you can enjoy the view of the beautiful area around or let the evening with a leisurely glass of wine.
Parking for two cars is available.

Location and surroundings of object

El Escalador located near the road from Torrox to Cómpeta, accessible only by a short, partially steep driveway. It is located directly opposite the restaurant "Pavo Real".

The exterior of the villa has been completely redesigned and considerably enlarged. Located very top of the mountain one has the feeling of floating above the valley and can enjoy the peace

The white village of Cómpeta is around 5km, the coast is about 10km. Cómpeta is a white village in the Natural Park of Sierra Tejeda, Almijara and Sierra Alhama. It is nicknamed, Cornisa de la Costa del Sol '(approximately: Sims the Costa del Sol) and is a must on the wine route of the Axarquía. In its environment to mix with mountainous overgrown by vines ridges that make up the typical image of the place. These lands are a real treat for hikers and lovers of rural tourism. A stroll through the streets of Cómpeta offers a view on the traditional architecture of the community and the sight of picturesque corners. The church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and the chapels San Antón and San Sebastián are the most important stages of a sightseeing tour.

In each bedroom a satellite TV is available.
For the environment has been deliberately omitted Air Conditioning. Ceiling fans and mosquito nets on the windows allow a carefree sleep with the window open.
The kitchen is fully equipped. Coffee machine, hand blender, toaster, kettle, egg cooker and all of the above information.
There is an iron available with Brett.
The house is designed for 6 people. In the living / dining room, the couch can be converted into a bed. It is also 7 people stay plus. A baby cot.

additional information:

The pool is also heated by solar power. The guaranteed startup of the pool is only in the months of May - October ensured.
Expected mountain bikes are made available from the 2017th

"Well then"

truly a very quiet oasis in the mountains
the steep approach is a challenge, not recommended for beginners or inexperienced drivers, arriving in the dark is borderline
the house and the landscaped garden are really okay so far
what was bothersome were the missing insect screens in the living area and a few newer, more comfortable garden furniture
the price-performance ratio is very good

In der Regel informiert sich ein Gast im Vorfeld, wo sich dieses Haus befindet. Die Anfahrt ist regionsspezifisch - darauf weisen wir hin. Unsere eingestellten Fotos verbergen zudem nichts.
Das der Service negativ bewertet wird war abzusehen. Unser Service vor Ort hat nach dem Aufenthalt diverse Gegenstände (Sonnenschirm + Liegen) defekt vorgefunden.
Die Liegestühle, sowie Sonnenschirme sind absolut neu und im Juli 2024 angeschafft worden. Trotz einer schweren Kommunikation haben wir KEINE Kaution einbehalten.
Über Fliegengitter im Wohnbereich kann man nachdenken - machen letztlich nur wenig Sinn, da die Türe zumeist vom Gast offen gelassen wird. Wir beschränken uns hier weiterhin auf einen insektenfreien Schlafbereich.
Wir freuen uns immer über konstruktive Kritik, denn wir wollen uns weiter verbessern. Wir haben in der Vergangenheit einige Anregungen unserer Gäste umgesetzt, aber diese müssen sinnvoll und angebracht sein.

Beautiful quiet located house with stunning view.

Lovely house equipped with all comforts. Very well-maintained. Beautiful view and nice garden. Good WiFi and TV connections. Advice: rent an SUV or a four-wheel drive as the road to it is steep.

Beautiful villa with nice view

It is a beautiful villa with a stunning view over the mountains and the sea. The villa is well furnished and matched the description. Everything was clean and equipped with plenty of towels. The garden is beautifully landscaped, and it is lovely to relax at and in the pool and a beautiful corner with a bar where you can BBQ in the evenings. The villa is centrally located in relation to Competa and the sea (Nerja). This villa is definitely worth recommending for families who enjoy peace and quiet.

Magnificent views of the mountains, the ocean in the distance...

The villa El Escalador is a magnificent place where you can go to spend peaceful vacations away from prying eyes and noise, and contemplate every day the wonderful mountain landscape that unfolds before us. The villa and the pool are very clean. The welcome, the seriousness of the owner and the agency staff managing the villa on site allowed us to have a very pleasant stay. Thank you to them!

Hard to beat, this country estate with this view!

The Finca El Escalador has everything you could wish for on vacation, it is cozy, spacious, and clean. It has great and impeccable equipment, a super pool, and a fantastic location with fabulous views and hardly any view inside. It is simply perfect. Happy holidays

The finca is perfect and comfortably equipped for a relaxing vacation and offers enough space, even for 6 people. Well-equipped kitchen with enough dishes, garden furniture, sunbeds and umbrellas, towels, outdoor grill..., large property. The furnishings are new and not worn out, everything is very clean, you feel at home. A rental car is advisable. The finca is very quiet and can be reached via a well-developed road. Only the short driveway to the house is very steep, but the beautiful panoramic view compensates for this. The beautiful mountain village of Comepeta is only a few minutes' drive away and offers some shopping and restaurants, larger supermarkets can be found on the coast, which can be easily reached in about 15-20 minutes by car. A small restaurant is within walking distance of the finca (about 5-10 minutes). Various excursion possibilities in the area are available, so the finca is a good location for a relaxing beach holiday as well as for excursions or hikes. We will be happy to come back.

Wonderful villa

From the photos we were a little concerned about the spaciousness of this property but we had no need to be worried, there was ample space for a family of 7. I've stayed in about 8 villas, mostly in Spain and this was as good if not better than any of the others. It's best features would have to be the level of equipment (plenty of plates, glasses etc) and general quality of the furniture and fittings and the view which is truly magnificent. On the downside there is no airconn if you like airconn (I don't) and the drive up the mountain may put some people off as it's very steep. The big question is always would I stay here again and the answer is "absolutely yes!"

Excellent holiday in this well-designed house with a beautiful view.

Beautifully equipped house, in almost absolute calm, with an incredibly beautiful view of the mountain ranges and the surrounding hills of Competa. A perfectly sized, well-maintained pool, at a nearly constant temperature of 28/29°C. Add to that the very consistent climate of Andalusia, the charm of the region, the kindness of the people, and the beaches of the Mediterranean coast with crystal-clear waters (the nearest ones are accessible by car in 20 minutes) and you will have a great vacation. Great house. Well-equipped. Very quiet surroundings. Incredibly beautiful view of the mountains and the hills of Competa. The pool is just right, regularly maintained, and at an almost constant temperature (28/29 °C!). Add to that the very constant climate of Andalusia, the charm of the area, the friendly people, and the beaches of the Mediterranean coast with crystal-clear water (the nearest accessible by car in 20 minutes), and you will have a very nice holiday.

Beautiful country house in a perfect location.

The view of mountains and landscapes is unique. A dream vacation is guaranteed because everything fits together. Equipment, pool, and landscape are in perfect harmony. Those looking for peace will also find it. The location, the view, and the garden are enchanting. The house is clean and fully equipped, the pool is wonderful and super clean. We enjoyed the time here more than anything else!

Dream holiday in the mountains outside Competa/Andalusia

The house leaves hardly anything to be desired. The location as described is fantastic. The equipment is perfect and everything is new. The service of the landlord is almost unique. The equipment in the house is very good. The kitchen has everything you need. There are enough dishes and accessories. So if you want to spend a quiet dream holiday, this house is recommended.
