Here one feels very comfortable.

We stayed at Möwennest from November 15th to November 18th, 2023, and the house is very well equipped and super clean. The landlady, Mrs. Heike Schmidtke, is also a very pleasant and kind person who cares about the well-being of her guests.
There is really nothing to complain about, and we will come back.
A big thank you to Heike Schmidtke at this point :-)

Highly recommended

We spent a very nice week at the Möwennest. Nothing was missing. If we had any questions, help was immediately available. It was also no problem when our daughter visited us for a night. Within a short time, a bed was made and the visit was no obstacle.

The location of the house is very beautiful, with a direct view of the lake. We can only recommend the house.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus

We were 4 adults and thanks to the two bathrooms and two bedrooms, we all had enough space. The holiday home is equipped with everything you need. We lacked nothing, except maybe a blender ;-) But that's "complaining" at a high level. The location was great, from the living room and of course the terrace you could directly look out onto the lake. Sternberg is a small, but beautiful town, the city center is reachable on foot or by bike. A car is not essential. It's only a stone's throw to Schwerin or Wismar. We felt very comfortable, the welcome was very friendly and helpful. The fireplace and underfloor heating were particularly appealing. ;-)

Ein Schmuckstück

We were totally thrilled by this gem of a vacation home. The interior was decorated with so much love that we immediately felt at home. Everything you need is available. We will definitely come back.

A great holiday home!

We have been here for the second time now and it was very nice. The house is clean and equipped with everything you need. It is located centrally in a very small holiday home settlement right next to the playground. Especially with children, I would say you have the best location, as you can overlook everything very well. The view is fantastic. For dining on the terrace, as well as from the bedroom and living room, you have a view of the lake. The lake is about 30m from the front door. There is a small private beach with even a boat with life jackets (even for children). The windows have blinds and fly screens. Additionally, there are ceiling fans. Everything is very friendly and lovingly furnished. The landlords are very nice. All in all, highly recommended. We will gladly come back.

A super cozy holiday home!

We found the holiday home as depicted in the photos. A very comfortable living room with an adjacent kitchen where everything needed was available in a small space. The bedrooms have very comfortable beds. The location of the holiday home is excellent. Sternberg is a not too large town with an old but well-restored historic center. The friendliness of the people was also striking. There are plenty of restaurants for dining. Overall, it was a very relaxing holiday week in a very tasteful and cozy holiday home with a warm landlord.

Everything's great!!

After this vacation, we drove home deeply relaxed and happy

We are two young married couples from Saxony and were invited to a wedding in Güstrow. To prevent this trip from becoming just a stressful weekend getaway, we decided to extend it for another week of vacation. After some research, we found the holiday home "Elisabeth" on the Sternberger See. In short - it was a dream. The apartment is indeed excellently equipped. Dishwasher, washing machine, large bathtub, shower, TV, WiFi on request, very large sofa corner, and a generous dining table.
Furthermore, a magnificent view from a large window front in the living room towards the lake - albeit only from the second row of houses, but since the houses are not too close together, one could still see a lot of greenery and also the lake.
We also didn't miss out on a rowboat ride. Four people easily fit in it, and the view from the water to the church and the adjacent forests invites to active relaxation. We unfortunately didn't use the fireplace in the living room at all, although that would have been very nice. But the underfloor heating has served us so well that we decided to forgo the fire due to our CO2 conscience :) One small tip we would like to give to potential tenants: Pack a small supply of coffee filters, dishwasher tabs, and detergent if you want to use the corresponding appliances right after arrival, as these were not available when we arrived. In Sternberg, there are, of course, plenty of shopping opportunities, but if you arrive on Saturday evening, it might be difficult to go shopping immediately on Sunday.

However, this is a small inconvenience compared to the good time we were able to enjoy in Sternberg and the surrounding area despite the sometimes mixed March weather. Walks, boat tour, shopping for groceries at the farm shop of a farmhouse, excursions to Schwerin and Güstrow were just a few things that are easily possible from the "Elisabeth" house. And the Baltic Sea is not far away either. . .

In this sense, we hope to see you again soon. Thank you very much.

Beautiful house in a charming natural setting

We spent a nice autumn vacation for two in the cozy house Elisabeth. The nature around Sternberg is always beautiful. The lakes, the Warnow Valley, and the wonderful and diverse forests. The proximity to Schwerin and Wismar is also very advantageous.

Wir sind zwei junge Ehepaare aus Sachsen und waren zu einer Hochzeit in Güstrow eingeladen. Um diese Reise nicht nur einen stressigen Wochenendtrip werden zu lassen, entschlossen wir uns noch eine Woche Urlaub dranzuhängen. Nach einiger Recherche entdeckten wir das Ferienhaus "Elisabeth" am Sternberger See. Kurz gesagt - es war ein Traum. Die Wohnung ist tatsächlich hervorragend ausgestattet. Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, große Badewanne, Dusche, Fernseher, WLAN auf Anfrage, sehr große Sofaecke und ein großzügiger Esstisch. Außerdem ein herrlicher Blick aus einer großen Fensterfront im Wohnzimmer auf den See - zwar nur aus zweiter Häuserreihe, aber da die Häuser nicht zu dicht nebeneinander stehen, konnte man dennoch viel grün und auch den See sehen. Eine Fahrt mit dem Ruderboot haben wir uns auch nicht entgehen lassen. Vier Personen haben darin locker Platz und die Aussicht vom Wasser aus auf die Kirche und die angrenzenden Wälter lädt zur aktiven Entspannung ein. Den Kamin im Wohnzimmer haben wir leider gar nicht benutzt, wobei das sehr schön gewesen wäre. Aber die Fußbodenheizung hat uns so gute Dienste erwiesen, dass wir unseres CO2-Gewissens wegen auf das Feuer verzichtet haben :) Einen kleinen Tipp möchten wir potentiellen Mietern noch mitgeben: Packen Sie einen kleinen Vorrat Kaffeefilter, Geschirrspültabs und Waschmittel ein, wenn Sie die entsprechenden Geräte direkt nach Ankunft nutzen möchten, da diese bei unserer Ankunft nicht vorhanden waren. In Sternberg gibt es natürlich genügend Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, aber falls man Samstagabend anreist, könnte es Sonntag dann schwierig werden, sofort einkaufen zu gehen. Doch das ist ein geringer Aufwand im Vergleich zu der guten Zeit, die wir trotz teilweise gemischten März-Wetters in Sternberg und Umgebung verleben durften. Spaziergänge, Bootstour, Einkauf von Lebensmitteln im Hofladen eines Bauernhofes, Ausflüge nach Schwerin und Güstrow waren nur einige Dinge, die vom Haus "Elisabeth" aus gut möglich sind. Und die Ostsee ist ja auch nicht weit entfernt... In diesem Sinne hoffen wir auf baldiges Wiedersehen. Vielen Dank.
