The beautifully located holiday apartment is on the 1st floor of the Ostsee-Residenz Damp, directly on the spa promenade. From the balcony and all windows you have a direct view of the marina and the open sea. The fine sandy Baltic Sea beach is only 150 meters away. Here you can swim to your heart’s content, sunbathe, rent a beach chair, and take long walks. The spa center with a shopping arcade (supermarket, bakery, clothing, souvenirs, etc.) and several restaurants and cafes is located in the immediate vicinity and can be reached on foot in 2 minutes. An ice cream parlor, a pizzeria, and a Sparkasse self-service branch are located on the ground floor of the Ostsee-Residenz (facing the street). The Vamed Ostsee Clinic and rehabilitation clinic are also reachable within five minutes on foot, making the apartment suitable for accompanying persons, open spa treatments, and outpatient rehabilitation measures.
The apartment features a spacious living room with panoramic window and balcony with balcony furniture, sofa, television, stereo system, and dining area. The sofa can be used as an additional bed for one person if needed. A beautiful, like-new fitted kitchen with ceramic hob, oven at chest height, refrigerator, dishwasher, and plenty of space for your groceries invites you to culinary heights as well as to ready-made pizza. The kitchen is, of course, fully equipped with coffee machine, kettle, toaster, dishes, pots, etc.
The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable double bed (160 x 200) and also offers a fantastic sea view. You can store your clothes in a spacious wardrobe in a small extra room.
A new shower bathroom (from 02/2024) with Nordic flair completes the furnishings.
A Wi-Fi connection is available to you free of charge.
A small cot (up to three years) as well as a high chair can be provided if needed.
The apartment includes its own parking space (approx. 150 meters away). For loading and unloading, temporary stopping directly at the house entrance is possible, or for a limited time in other parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the main entrance (with parking disc).
The apartment is located on the lake side, away from the street traffic.
Bus stops (lines to Kappeln and Eckernförde) are about a 3-minute walk away.

Currently (as of 03.04.2022), almost all restrictions have been lifted in Schleswig-Holstein according to the current Corona State Ordinance. The wearing of a mouth-nose covering is recommended especially indoors where there is crowding or an increased number of people. Only in means of public transport, including taxis, is it still mandatory to wear a medical or FFP2 mask.

Very nice short stay
A very nice vacation apartment with great amenities and a view directly of the harbor. Everything matched the description. Well maintained and very clean. Very nice communication with the landlord. We liked it 100 percent and would love to come back.

Great accommodation in a prime location!
Hello everyone,
it's very beautiful here, the accommodation leaves nothing to be desired, everything is available. The view of the small marina and the Baltic Sea is phenomenal. In addition, all shops can be reached on foot. All beautiful destinations (Schlei, Eckernförde, Kappeln, the Baltic Sea) are nearby. We (3 people) had everything we needed, but for the 3rd person it's a bit tight (small bed for 3rd person). Otherwise, definitely 5 stars.
We will be back.

Emergency shelter
Sorry, I have thought long about whether to leave a review here, but the apartment has seen better days. But new tenants are guided by recessions and that would simply not be fair ... In addition, baking paper in the oven from ancient times, dirty and disgusting, the bathroom roughly cleaned, worn-out fittings, the bathroom was flooded after showering because all drains were very dirty, the beds sagging, my husband could not sleep there with over 100 kg because it sagged and made loud noises. The equipment with scratched breakfast boards that were not inviting and the amount of cutlery, porcelain was way too little, coffee machine not clean ... So next time we will look for something else. Do not have high expectations but it should be usable and clean. The landlady is very service-oriented, that's for sure. We left one day earlier.

Sehr geehrte Frau G., danke für Ihre Rückmeldung. Es tut mir leid, dass der Aufenthalt nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprach. Ich hätte mich jedoch sehr gefreut, wenn Sie damals direkt das Gespräch gesucht hätten, anstatt dafür nun 3,5 Monate später diesen Weg zu wählen. Es ist uns sehr daran gelegen, dass unsere Gäste sich bei uns wohlfühlen und arbeiten deswegen auch stetig an Verbesserungen.
Gerne gehe ich auf Ihre Einwände ein. Die Wohnung als „Notunterkunft“ zu bezeichnen ist wahrlich unfein und deckt sich auch nicht mit den vielen positiven Rückmeldungen, die wir regelmäßig von unseren Gästen erhalten.
Wir reinigen nach jedem Gast sehr sorgfältig die gesamte Wohnung. Auch eine Kontrolle der Schränke gehört routinemäßig dazu. Wenn wir dieses eine Mal vergessen haben, in den Backofen zu schauen, so tut mir das sehr leid und ich möchte mich dafür entschuldigen. Das soll natürlich nicht vorkommen. Die Küche selber haben wir erst vor wenigen Jahren neu angeschafft und es ist dort alles sauber und in Ordnung. Auch Geschirr und Besteck steht ausreichend für sechs Personen zur Verfügung. Auf die Benutzung der Brettchen ist niemand angewiesen, der dies nicht mag, es steht Porzellangeschirr für alle Mahlzeiten bereit. Das Essgeschirr haben wir vor wenigen Monaten komplett erneuert.
Das Wasser ist in Damp sehr kalkhaltig. Die Gerätschaften werden zwar regelmäßig von uns entkalkt, gelegentlich kann es aber mal zu leichten, harmlosen Kalkflecken kommen. Jedoch werden Sie keine ernsthaft verschmutzen Geräte finden.
Die Betten sind mit mittelfesten Matratzen ausgestattet. Da sind die individuellen Geschmäcker und Gewohnheiten sicherlich sehr verschieden. Hierzu möchte ich auf eine andere Bewertung weiter unten hinweisen, wo der Gast ausgesprochen gut geschlafen hat.
Das Bad ist älter (wie auf den Fotos ersichtlich), aber in Ordnung. Auch das Bad reinigen wir selbstverständlich stets sehr gründlich und nicht nur oberflächlich. Der Duschkopf ist etwa ein halbes Jahr alt. Grundsätzlich planen wir eine Badsanierung und hoffen, dass wir dies im kommenden Winter in Angriff nehmen können. (Nachtrag: Das Badezimmer wurde im Februar 2024 komplett saniert)
Genau so sind wir in der Zeit, in denen wir die Wohnung nun haben vorgegangen: Wir arbeiten stetig an Verbesserungen. Dringliche Sachen werden sehr zeitnah erledigt oder ersetzt, „Schönheitsreparaturen“ finden nach und nach statt. Die Liste der Dinge, die wir bereits erneuert haben, würde hier den Rahmen sprengen. Es ist ein stetiger Prozess: Jedes Jahr kommen neue Dinge hinzu und andere verschwinden. Dabei nehmen wir auch sehr gerne konstruktive Anregungen unserer Gäste auf. Jeder Gast darf selbstverständlich während seines Aufenthalts stets gerne bei uns anrufen, wenn es Fragen gibt. Unser oberstes Ziel ist es, dass unsere Gäste sich hier für eine Weile zuhause fühlen und entspannen können. Daher möchte ich potentielle Interessenten einladen, neugierig zu sein auf eine schöne Wohnung in toller Lage, die von den allermeisten unserer Gäste wegen ihrer wohnlichen und gemütlichen Atmosphäre sehr geschätzt wird.
