The cosy, completely wooden hut is idyllically situated surrounded by pine trees about 1,5km away from the skiing area Klipptzthörl, at about 1350m above sea level and offers many possibilities for summer and winter.
It is beautifully furnished with solid wood furniture, has a cosy sitting area in the living room (kitchen), a sofa and a tiled wood stove.
The kitchen is spacious and equipped with a microwave with oven function, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and traditional Gmundner ceramic tableware.
We want our guests to feel at home!

Beautiful holiday home
To put it in my son's words: Beautiful alpine hut. Location very quiet on the edge of a holiday home settlement, we almost didn't notice the nearby road. A hut at almost 1400m does not need a dishwasher in our opinion, the furnishings, location and equipment make up for this. Very nice hiking area, with and without car, especially with children. Great sauna. Very nice, uncomplicated landlords.
Recommendation without reservation for summer holidays with very good price-performance ratio.

Highly recommended!
We spent a week in the Zirbenhütte and couldn't be more satisfied!
Maria and Egon were very helpful and gave us good tips. The hut is really very well equipped. There are hiking possibilities nearby, a summer toboggan run and the next inn is also not far away.
We especially liked the barbecue area in the garden.
Highly recommended!

a beautiful time
The cabin was beautifully located, about 2.5 km from the slope. Quiet location - nearest neighbor 150 m away. Unfortunately, no ski bus, even though only 100m to the main road. We were personally welcomed by the owners and received a welcome gift. That was very pleasant. The smoke sauna was also great. What is missing is a dishwasher, then it would be perfect. It is very noisy, so the tenants should know each other well. Otherwise, everything fit well. We had a lot of fun here and the slope conditions were from good to very good. I can only recommend the accommodation.

The cabin owners Egon and Maria are very caring and helpful. After a thorough briefing, we had a great week in the Zirbenhütte. The cabin is very well equipped, and the existing smoke sauna completes the rustic cabin experience. Here's to having more snow in the coming years! Best regards, Scen and friends.

Carinthia vacation in a great location.
We (2 couples with 2 dogs) spent 2 wonderful holiday weeks in the cozy Zirbenhütte. We lacked nothing. The cabin was wonderfully and practically furnished. The Buchbauer settlement is a very good starting point for various hikes and activities. On the day of arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the Dorner family and received valuable tips, including recommended restaurants and hiking trails. A well-organized folder with suggestions and tips for hikes and other excursions was available to us. A small downside is the adjacent main road. However, as the property is quite large, this flaw is not very significant. In the nearby Bad St. Leonhard (10 minutes by car), there are plenty of shops available. Overall, we felt very comfortable there and would stay at the Zirbenhütte for a vacation again at any time.

For me, the Zirbenhütte is an oasis of calm and a retreat from the often stressful daily business at work. Since I can not always do this, I would like to offer other people the opportunity to experience this pleasure. Every guest should feel as if he were in his own hut in the mountains.
