Very cordial landlady

Beautiful cottage with fireplace and sauna in a quiet location on the edge of the forest
Very well equipped. Everything you could possibly need is provided for. There was even a hot water bottle in the bedroom :-)!
You can start hiking directly from the house and are provided with a hiking map and tips.
Since we made cheese fondue on New Year's Eve, our landlady even brought us home-baked bread. I find that really exceptionally hospitable :-)!
All in all, a very relaxing holiday :-)!

Beautifully situated holiday home

The chalet in the rose garden is beautifully located and offers guests many amenities. The furnishings leave nothing to be desired, we felt very comfortable in the well-kept ambience and will gladly come again. We spent very nice and relaxing days in the chalet in the rose garden. The park-like garden is really impressive. You can see at first glance the loving devotion with which the hosts take care of the property. Besides many great details, the sauna is a special highlight. Pure holiday and yet comfort like at home

The chalet had already caught our eye during our search because of the beautiful photos and the reviews. So we booked it for a visit with family and friends and were not disappointed. The reception by the Linker family was already so warm that you felt welcome right away. The chalet is as cosy as the pictures promised. Everything has been thought of to make you feel comfortable, really like at home. Our friends and family who visited us were also absolutely thrilled, especially with the park-like garden in which the chalet is located. Here you can absolutely relax and unwind from everyday life and enjoy your time. We would like to thank the Linker family and will certainly choose the chalet again for one or two family visits!

In the dreamlike rose garden

The beautifully landscaped rose garden offers pure relaxation. The house is in a secluded location and guarantees privacy. On the romantic terrace with its vine-covered pergola, thoughts wander to the destinations visited: Hikes in the wooded Frau Holle National Park, visits to many castles and palaces, excursions to charming old towns with lots of half-timbered houses. The landlords are very obliging: a bottle of Prosecco and mineral water as a welcome, homemade jam and Rharbarber mousse. Sauna and wood-burning stove guarantee relaxation.

Pure nature - perfectly equipped - friendly landlords - Chalet to fall in love with

We had a wonderful "short vacation" with family visits. Even the older members of my family (93 years old), whom we invited to the chalet, felt immediately at home and comfortable in the chalet. The covered sun terrace provides everything you need to feel good, the view of the park-like garden is unique, the kitchen leaves nothing to be desired, and the landlords are very attentive to ensuring that nothing is missing and that you feel at home. The location is particularly impressive, you are surrounded by nature, can take many beautiful hiking tours, and hear true bird concerts in the morning and evening. We would love to come back - thank you very much for everything!

A completely successful vacation

Our vacation in the Kaufunger Wald was a very nice one, not least because of the cozy holiday home, equipped with many amenities, and also having a seemingly endless large garden where there is something different to discover around every corner. After exploring the numerous hiking trails in the nearby area during the day, we could relax in the cozily furnished accommodation in the evening and prepare a delicious dinner in the beautiful kitchen in Mediterranean style, enjoying it in front of the warming tile fireplace. We would love to come back again.

Pure relaxation in the Fairy Tale Garden

We spent twelve wonderfully relaxed vacation days in the hidden wooden house, surrounded by a huge, park-like garden, enjoying the nature around us as well as the cozy atmosphere in the house and on the vine-covered terrace. The equipment, especially the country kitchen, is exceptional and would even delight a gourmet chef. Many small loving details like candles made our stay even more pleasant, and the modern sauna provided additional well-being. The landlords, who live on the same property but their house is not visible from the chalet, are very nice and helpful and surprised us with a unique service, almost "like Mom." Thank you! We will definitely come back! If you want to escape everyday stress and love nature, far from tourist crowds and city noise, this is the right place for you!

Feine Lage

We had a wonderful week for two in the superbly located accommodation. The chalet is outstandingly equipped and located in a dreamlike private garden in an absolutely quiet environment. Entspannung pur

Unfortunately, we can only award 5 stars, 7 or more would be appropriate.

The wonderful Rose Park - Garden would not be enough - with its beautiful flowers and scents invited one to linger day and night. Breakfast under the winter cherry tree amidst lush roses, nap in the stylish bedroom, coffee by the water lily pond, read a book on soft moss in the shade under tall trees, prepare dinner in the perfectly equipped kitchen that left nothing to be desired, barbecue on the terrace in the evening sun, dine on the vine-covered veranda, and end the day in the sauna with cooling off under the starlit sky. Actually, we are active on vacation and want to explore all the attractive destinations by bike and on foot - and there is much to discover - but after a short time, we were always drawn back to the house and park.

A heartfelt thank you to the hosts for the wonderful time. And the bread and jam were simply fantastic.

A great place for a break!

We used our long weekend for relaxation and the chalet was perfect for that. On a sunny day, we could hike in the forested area and when it became stormy the next day, we felt very comfortable in the cozy living room with the warmth of the oven and sauna. The kitchen has everything one could need. In the summer, the garden is surely fantastic!

Changeover from 2019 to 2020

Very beautiful holiday home with great attention to detail, in a quiet environment and close to nature, leaving hardly any wishes unfulfilled. If something is missing, which was not the case for us, the offer of the exceptionally courteous landlords is available to make improvements promptly. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy much of the beautiful park-like garden in winter, but we did use the great fireplace which can provide additional heating to the chalet and generates wonderful warmth. Only those who rely on internet or phone might encounter occasional problems. If you want to slow down and relax (e.g., in the sauna), this is the perfect place! Thank you for a lovely holiday around New Year.

Romantic holiday in nature

We stayed in the beautiful chalet for 2.5 weeks. The furnishings are very stylish and tasteful. We did not use the sauna because the weather was still summery. Instead, we enjoyed romantic evenings on the vine-covered terrace, which also served as a romantic and cool "living room" during the warm days. Mrs. and Mr. Linker are very friendly and attentive hosts.

Perfect for a break from everyday life!

The three of us spent a week at the 'Chalet im Rosengarten' at the beginning of July. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and shown around the house and garden. The chalet, lovingly furnished with attention to detail by the Linker family, leaves nothing to be desired. The house is equipped with everything a visitor needs, and there is even a small selection of wines available. A vine-covered terrace invites you to dine, read, relax, or simply listen to nature. The kitchen provides all utensils for cooking and baking, as well as coffee, teas, and spices. The lovingly designed and well-kept park-like rose garden with many trees and a great pond is enchanting. The quiet location on the edge of the forest offers opportunities for extensive walks in the woods and fields right on site.

The chalet served as a base for day trips to various destinations in the nearby region. The Linker couple provides extensive information material and maps in the chalet and is happy to give tips. As the chalet has WiFi, there is nothing stopping a spontaneous tour planning over the internet.

We enjoyed our time in the chalet very much, which passed by too quickly, and would have loved to stay longer.

4 schöne Urlaubstage

It was a very beautiful and relaxing time at the chalet with the Linker family. We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable, as nothing was missing (from washing machine, garden grill, hairdryer... to spices, candles... everything was there). If something was still missing, the hosts were happy to fulfill that wish. The huge garden invited us to linger, the cozy fireplace provided a comfortable warmth throughout the house, and to top it all off, there was also the sauna with various scents. The tranquil location is wonderful for relaxing, and if you feel like doing activities, there are numerous excursion destinations in the surrounding area. We are happy to recommend the chalet.

A really beautiful and clean cottage with a lovely view of the Rose Garden. My wife and I prepared our daily breakfast and dinner in the fully equipped kitchen, which we then enjoyed by the fireplace and candlelight. The welcome menu (if you book an arrangement) was excellent and highly recommended. The daily sauna sessions provided us with sufficient relaxation and new energy for lovely forest walks in the area.

Erneuter Besuch

Our second visit to the Chalet im Rosengarten was also very relaxing and, thanks to our host's perfect care and preparation, another highlight of relaxation and holiday joy. When we arrived, the wood stove was already preheated, and the fridge was filled with a sparkling surprise. The kitchen equipment had improved since our last visit, and everything was sparkling clean and extremely cozy, just as we remembered from our previous stay with our hostess. We can only warmly recommend this holiday home to anyone seeking peace and relaxation and wanting to incorporate a bit of wellness. The private sauna and the spacious rose garden complement the fantastic offer. We are already looking forward to another week at the chalet at the end of July.

We have had a wonderful time here with the couple Linker, enjoying a fully equipped holiday home that is located in its own, lovingly landscaped, large rose (park) garden! In addition to the countless atmospheric country house details and accessories, the very high-quality fireplace and sauna house, as well as the country house bedroom, should be mentioned! And the 3-course candlelight dinner menu was incredibly tasty, rich and at top restaurant level! One arrives and immediately has a relaxed and "slow-down" vacation time!

Relaxing short vacation with a successful combination of nature, culture, and shopping.

We stayed in this wonderful, detail-oriented holiday home at the end of August 2017 for a week. It was a great week where we lacked nothing, which was certainly also due to the care of the landlords. Whether it was with a welcome sparkling wine, homemade jam for breakfast, or help with starting the fire. The landlords were always ready to help with advice and action. The area itself also offers a lot of variety, so we spent great hours hiking (premium hiking trails start nearby) or relaxing in the beautiful rose garden. But Kassel is also right on the doorstep and invites you to sightseeing and shopping.
The week was very varied and therefore passed by too quickly.
We have recovered superbly in this wonderful cottage and therefore like to think back on this short vacation.

The chalet in Rosengarten was a sanctuary of relaxation and tranquility for us. The rustic atmosphere and high-quality furnishings ensure that even on rainy days, there is no room for gloom. Idyllically located house with full equipment.

Celebrating the turn of the year and the days leading up to it in peace was our wish. Walking in the nearby forest, hiking, visiting beautiful places and cities (e.g. Berlepsch Castle, Hannoversch Münden), enjoying culture (Kassel is highly recommended here), and above all spending beautiful hours in intimate togetherness - this house is perfect for that. It is located very quietly, almost directly at the edge of the forest, and is exceptionally tastefully furnished. The high-quality equipment leaves nothing to be desired, especially in the kitchen you can find everything you need for the preparation of even elaborate dishes. A romantic fireplace and, on request, a sauna ensure coziness and relaxation. The garden surrounding the spacious house reminds more of a well-kept park (watching the little birds from the large living room window is a true delight). All this made our wish come true, and therefore this great holiday home deserves an honest recommendation! For this and for their hospitality, we would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Linker sincerely!

After being guests only briefly, we are determined to come back next summer for a longer stay. Then we can enjoy the beautiful park landscape better. The "Magic Cottage" is a gem. Time out in the midst of nature

With the aim of peace and solitude, I was in the beautiful log cabin located in the middle of a park-like garden in exactly the right place. Here, everything is possible, from doing nothing to engaging in sports activities in the forest right outside the door, to enjoying culture and the city atmosphere in Kassel and the surrounding area. Fantastic break from hustle and stress!

My wish for a week of a break from everyday work life with lots of nature and relaxation - without being far away from civilization - came true here. The chalet is a gem for people who love something truly special, as well as comfort and "wellness" away from the usual mass tourism. The tastefully and lovingly decorated wooden house in Mediterranean style is located on the edge of the Kaufunger Wald amidst an idyllic garden reminiscent of a park, and left nothing to be desired. Due to the wonderful weather, my decision between relaxing, hiking, and cultural activities often favored a good book in the splendid garden. At my departure, my energy was restored, and the decision to come back to catch up on the rest was made. Perhaps even in winter, to linger by the crackling fireplace with a book. We were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Linker and she gave us a very friendly insight into the charming chalet. Upon arrival, the beautiful fireplace was already burning and greeted us with a cozy warmth. We also received a bottle of champagne and water, already chilled in the refrigerator for our welcome. In the fully equipped kitchen and throughout the rest of the house, there was everything you could possibly need. In the house, one can recognize small accessories at almost every corner or even in the most hidden nook, giving the chalet a very special charm again. In the Rosengarten chalet, one could enjoy a unique, splendid tranquility and recharge the almost empty battery. The large garden and the wonderful covered terrace invited you to once again enjoy the silence of the adjacent forest. We will definitely come back in the summer to linger in the garden amidst the wonderfully blooming roses.

eerily cozy, quiet, perfect to let your soul unwind

We had a wonderful stay at the chalet, which unfortunately passed by too quickly. The house is located very quietly, in the middle of a beautiful rose garden. By the fireplace, one can quickly forget about the world around them; the house and the location are simply pure tranquility and relaxation. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking, and in the evenings, we could conjure up a delicious dinner in the kitchen. Thank you for the great hospitality; we will gladly come back!! Relaxing in Rosegarden

My husband and I visited this place in the first week of October. We found it very pleasant, even superb. The surroundings are filled with various types of plants: trees, hedges, ornamentals, flowers, herbs, spices, and vegetables. There is also a lovely pond. If you enjoy roses, you will find over 100 varieties, each properly labeled. You can leisurely walk around and enjoy the fragrant flowers. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The chalet is fully furnished. It can easily accommodate 3 persons. The owners, Sabine and Manfried, are very friendly and accommodating.

Relaxing rest in the countryside

In September 2015, I had the pleasure of being able to spend a weekend at the 'Chalet in the Rose Garden' and I enjoyed every minute there. The fully furnished cozy cottage is located in a beautiful, lovingly maintained garden with numerous rose beds and a small pond. In the spacious garden, benches in secluded corners separated by flowerbeds, hedges, and bushes invite you to read or relax. The quiet location near a forest area close to the small town of Escherode also offers the opportunity for extensive walks in the woods and fields. I enjoyed it so much there that I would have liked to stay a bit longer and will definitely come back soon. I thank the Linker couple for their friendly hospitality and atmosphere and will recommend their 'Chalet im Rosengarten'.

A little gem on the edge of the Kaufunger Forest.

We - father, mother, and 13-year-old daughter - visited the Kaufunger Wald and spent a very relaxing weekend in the Chalet im Rosengarten. We had sunny, very hot weather, so the chalet with its peaceful location in the midst of the beautifully landscaped rose garden, which also has shade-providing trees and a seating area by the lovingly designed pond, was just perfect. The Linker family's chalet is tastefully decorated with great attention to detail and has everything a holiday home needs. The double bed in the bedroom is wonderfully comfortable; the living room opens onto a vine-covered veranda and has two comfortable armchairs and a sofa that can be transformed into an additional comfortable sleeping place. For rainy days, the tenant will find a TV as well as a variety of books and board games here. In the basement you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, and a small bathroom with a shower and toilet. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we were not able to try out the fireplace also located here, but it will surely provide cozy warmth in cooler temperatures.

The car used for arrival was sheltered in the carport located just a few steps from the holiday home. The location of the chalet just a few steps from the edge of the forest invites hiking, the village of Nieste, where the chalet is located, is surrounded by about 150 km of (bike) hiking trails. In the village, there are shops for any necessary errands. Interesting towns like Kassel, Göttingen, or Witzenhausen can be reached by car in a short time.

The positive vacation experience is rounded off by the warm reception by the Linker family. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already scheduled our next visit in October and will definitely not be the last time we visited the chalet.

Eine Oase

We have just returned from 5 days in the Rosengarten. It was simply wonderful. The chalet is lovingly furnished and well equipped. We had 3 cool rainy days in the middle of summer, which did not make the stay less attractive because the chalet has a fireplace in the kitchen on the ground floor, which brings a cozy warmth throughout the house. Cooking is very enjoyable in the Mediterranean-style kitchen, and the living room offers a cozy reading and TV corner. We also slept wonderfully. The beds are very comfortable, and there is heavenly peace. Not to forget the veranda covered with grapevines and the beautiful rose garden. We will definitely come back.

Relaxing weekend
