We have lovingly restored our over 200-year-old rectory.
We live in the main house and warmly welcome you to our separate, adjacent holiday apartment in Mecklenburg, a vacation region.
We are happy to provide you with information for a successful vacation.
The entrance to your holiday apartment is located on the side of the house, so you can enjoy your privacy.
In the garden, a seating group awaits you for breakfast or reading. You can relax on two sun loungers in the garden. The apartment has a bedroom with a large double bed. In the living room, you can make yourself comfortable on a sofa and a wicker chair. Here, a traveling child or a third adult can sleep on the pull-out sofa bed (with slatted frame and good mattress) if necessary.
The kitchen is equipped with all common utensils. You can have your meals at a round dining table. You are welcome to spend the evening on the high terrace, with a magnificent view over the landscape, deer and fox within sight. We are happy to provide a barbecue if needed.
We are also happy to lend you bicycles.
A small, well-behaved dog can be brought along after consultation, which then causes a bit more cleaning effort, which we charge at a one-time fee of 10,- €.

Location and surroundings of object
Our parsonage is located on the edge of the village at a dead-end street.
Our house includes a spacious garden with a terrace for comfortable seating and also for barbecuing. In the garden you will find various spots to relax and "let your soul dangle": under the parish linden tree (if you like, in the hammock), on the upper terrace, on the swing in the chestnut tree. Our dog Lotta (Bernese-Swiss Mountain Dog mix) looks forward to playmates. If you have forgotten a good book, you are welcome to borrow one from our library.
For film lovers, we have a good selection of worthwhile DVD films.
For those who love classical music, we would like to draw your attention to the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, which also includes (among many other wonderful events) the open-air concerts of the Castle Festival in Schwerin. We are happy to assist you with ticket orders. Our small village is secluded and therefore very quiet. But it is also centrally located for various excursion destinations.
The small town of Crivitz is about 12 kilometers away and offers everything for daily needs (4 supermarkets, butcher, bakery, boutiques, hairdressers, optician, hospital, doctors, pharmacies, gas stations, workshops). In Barnin and Sternberg there is fresh fish from the fisherman.
There are also the usual supermarkets in Sternberg, among others. a very well-stocked Edeka with many vegan products
You can find an Alnatura supermarket and a good organic store in Schwerin.
Near our location there are fishing ponds and beautiful lakes with swimming opportunities as well as other worthwhile destinations that are easily accessible by bicycle.
You can reach the Baltic Sea and its beautiful beaches by car in about an hour. Our beautiful state capital Schwerin, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its Residence Ensemble since 2024, is only about 40 minutes away. A visit to the magnificent castle and the state theater is highly recommended. You can reach Wismar in 45 minutes, and the beautiful baroque town of Ludwigslust (area monument) in 50 minutes.
Another excursion destination is Plau am See, about 40 minutes away. The monastery complex in Dobbertin am See, 30 minutes from us, is also well worth seeing. And many more places and events are waiting for your visit. Feel free to contact us.

Our holiday apartment is basically designed for 2 people. Additionally, further persons are possible for a small extra charge: 1 additional adult or a child can stay on the fold-out, very comfortable sofa bed in the living room.
We have also accommodated families with 2 small children (we can provide a cot, and there is also a high chair) – for teenage guests we can also set up a tent in the garden. Just give us a call and talk to us – together we will find a solution.

Dreamy and idyllic
First of all, such nice and helpful hosts are not often found. Here we felt very welcome as guests. The reception was very friendly.
The accommodation is very old, hence the name "Historical Vicarage", but this also adds to the idyllic and romantic atmosphere.
The facilities are extensive, everything needed for the stay is available. The bathroom is modernly furnished, with a walk-in shower and a toilet.
The living room has a flat screen TV, CD player, and DVD player. There is also a large collection of CDs and DVDs available, as well as many books for book lovers.
In good weather, the large garden can be used. The hosts were very friendly and always available to answer questions.
The property is located in a completely quiet outskirts location, and the village itself is also very quiet. Optimal access to sightseeing destinations from here.
There is also extensive information material in the apartment, or guests can ask the hosts.
Once again, heartfelt thanks to the Walczak family for the wonderful days we were able to spend there.

Relaxed and calm
We felt very comfortable in an excellent holiday flat in the old vicarage on the edge of the village. Everything was available to spend a few quiet days in Prestin. We can only recommend our landlords. The central location means you can get to Schwerin, Parchim, Ludwigslust etc. quickly by car.
