Location and surroundings of object
The house is a 250 year old half-timbered house which was completely renovated in 2013. It is located away from the centre of the village on a side street on a south-facing slope. The half-timbered house cycle path runs directly along the garden and is well worth a bike ride. In the house you will experience unforgettable holidays in a historical ambience. Nevertheless, the house is fully equipped and you will find everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. Each of the rooms has something different. Whether sitting in the log cabin by the heated tiled stove or simply relaxing in the bathtub. But see for yourself. On the terrace you can enjoy the sun and in the evenings you can relax in the grill hut by the fireplace. Shopping facilities and typical local gastronomic establishments are only 0.5 km away. There is room in the house for 2 - 13 people. Oderwitz is a Saxon municipality in the district of Görlitz in Upper Lusatia. It is located in the south-east of the Free State of Saxony, not far from the borders with the Czech Republic and Poland. Nearby are the Zittau Mountains with the highest mountain in the region, the Lausche, at 793m. The village's local mountain is the Spitzberg with a summer/winter toboggan run and mountain restaurant. The village is located on the B 96 between Zittau and Eibau. You can reach Oderwitz by car via the A4 motorway in the direction of Görlitz, exit Weißenberg, B178 via Löbau and continue on the B178n to Ninivee, then after Wweteren there is the possibility of arriving by train on the Dresden-Zittau route. There are three well-preserved windmills and a weather cabinet in the village, as well as other attractions. Five municipalities border on the municipal area of Oderwitz. These are Kottmar in the northwest, Herrnhut in the north, Mittelherwigsdorf in the east and southeast, Hainewalde in the south and Leutersdorf in the southwest, where there are interesting things to discover everywhere.

Unique house
We (5 moms + 9 kids) had a few wonderful days in this charming house.
It was perfect and had everything one needs to live and much more beyond that. It’s actually enough if they just pack underwear and a toothbrush?
Often, upon arrival, one realizes that the photos on the internet were supposed to be more of a beautiful illusion. However, with this vacation home, the pictures are understated. In reality, it is even more beautiful, and the contact with the landlords is very friendly and accommodating. We will gladly recommend it and will certainly come back. Best regards from Upper Franconia to the beautiful Upper Lusatia.

Very cozy spot!
We spent our family vacation with 12 people in Matto's Häusl. There was enough space for everyone! The house has been lovingly renovated and as you can see in every room, the rooms have been designed with great ideas. We also liked the outdoor area and the location in the village.

Great rustic holiday home
Fully equipped, very cozy and lovingly renovated half-timbered house. It is centrally located for beautiful excursions in the surrounding area, e.g. to the Oybin mountain.
The BBQ hut is super romantic, it's wonderful to sit there! There are also nice things for children, such as children's books, climbing tower, and sandbox.

A dreamlike object
We used the property for a short family holiday with 11 people. It was really super. The equipment and furnishing of the house leaves hardly anything to be desired. The interplay of the old rustic and the modern luxurious furnishings of the house is perfect
Although we used the house with 11 people, we never had the feeling that we were standing on each other's feet
The pavilion with fireplace is definitely a highlight. We enjoyed spending the evenings here
All in all, we had nothing to complain about
The nature, the surroundings and the house all contributed to a relaxing effect despite the short stay.
