The 300-year-old "Inselhaus" is located in the idyllic centre of Großschönau. The renovation was only completed in autumn 2007 and was extremely luxurious and restored with historic materials. Experiential living is guaranteed by the unusual ambience! The wellness bath, the cosy baroque painted log parlour with wood-burning stove and an eat-in kitchen that will make every gourmet's heart beat faster will make your holiday unforgettable. Each of the 4 bedrooms has its own individual charm. The balcony, the sun terrace and the Upper Lusatian garden invite you to relax. In the centre of Großschönau amidst historic half-timbered houses with a view of the church. Quiet location. Großschönau is located in Saxony in the south-eastern corner of Germany, in the district of Löbau-Zittau directly on the border with the Czech Republic. With its districts Waltersdorf, Saalendorf and Herrenwalde, Großschönau has 6416 inhabitants (as of ) and occupies an area of 23.87 km². Großschönau lies 350 m above sea level with the coordinates 50°54' N, 14° 40' ßschönau is 108 km by road from Dresden, 46 km from Bautzen and 45 km. from Görlitz. There are many ways to get there. The most convenient way to reach Großschönau by car from Dresden is via the A4 motorway. Leave the motorway at the Bautzen Ost exit and follow the B6 to Löbau. Before Löbau, take the Löbau bypass and turn right at the end of the road towards Ebersbach. There, too, use the bypass and drive in the direction of Leutersdorf. In Leutersdorf follow the signs to Großschönau. Alternatively, you can also take the train to Großschönau. If you want a timetable information you can click the following button. Schönes Haus, aber keine fünf Sterne..
Das Inselhaus an sich ist sehr schön restauriert worden, und das Bad ist wirklich schön. Es sind auch hochwertige Geräte und Möbel da.. Nur leider hat man den Eindruck, dass sowohl der Garten, als auch das Innenleben des Hauses vernachlässigt werden. Wir haben im Sommer 2023 zwei Wochen hier verbracht, und es blühen hier gar keine Blumen wie auf dem Foto so schön zu sehen, alles vertrocknet, Unkraut bzw. nicht bepflanzt. Bei unserer Ankunft lagen noch Tüten mit Glas und Plastikmüll vom Vormieter auf dem Grundstück. Das Doppelbett knarzt leider so extrem laut, dass man sich darauf keinen Millimeter bewegen kann, erholsamer Schlaf war so leider nicht möglich. Der Kühlschrank war total vereist, was eine Reinigungskraft hätte bemerken müssen.. alte Essig- und Ölflaschen von vor vier, fünf Jahren standen da rum. Eine Schere und ein paar Messer mehr in der Küche wären schön gewesen.. Es wäre fünf Sterne gewesen, oder auch einfach liebevolles sich darum kümmern, dass nicht leere Salz- und Pfefferstreuer und mit Wasser aufgefüllte Seifenspender herumstehen.. Es sind Kleinigkeiten, die den Charme des eigentlich tollen Hauses wirklich abrunden würden. Sehr schade!
Leider wird auf dieser 30-er Zonen-Straße sehr viel gerast, und man sollte bedenken, dass kleine Hunde unter den drei Gartentüren hindurchschlüpfen können, aber dafür kann der Vermieter ja nichts.
Ansonsten ist die Gegend traumhaft zum Wandern und zur Erkundung des Dreiländerecks, und die Menschen hier in Großschönau sind total freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Wenn man wieder ein bisschen Pflege reinsteckt, ist das Häuschen echt süß.

Liebe Frau K., vielen Dank für Ihre intensive Bewertung. Was den Müll betrifft haben Sie recht, dies ist auf Grund unserer Ferienabwesenheit leider nicht durchgeführt worden. Das Doppelbett knarzt nach unserer Liegeprobe incl. entsprechender Beanspruchung ?nicht. Alles andere kann man bemängeln , muss man aber nicht.
