Enjoy your holiday in our comfortable holiday home. Take advantage of the wide range of leisure activities or relax in the wellness paradise at the beautiful Silbersee!

Our holiday home Waldblick is the last house in a small side street and is located, as the name suggests, directly on the edge of the forest. It has the house number 63 and is designed for 6 persons. Like most of the other houses in the Silbersee holiday park, it was built in the 1970s.

And yet the Waldblick holiday home has many special features that set it apart from the other houses:
- It is simply idyllically situated on the edge of the forest.
- An old-grown hedge surrounds the beautifully landscaped garden with barbecue fireplace, which invites you to party, romp, relax or even dream.
- In the cellar, which can be reached through the living room, there is a whirlpool, shower and WC on approx. 20m², so that, in contrast to other houses, you have a total of 95m² at your disposal.
- Even in winter you can spend beautiful hours in the house Waldblick. Cosy in front of the blazing fireplace or pleasant warmth from the oil central heating. The beautiful garden at the edge of the forest attracts many animals. You can watch the birds feeding in winter and be on the trail of nature.
- Your dog is also very welcome. As we are big animal lovers ourselves, your dog can of course stay with us for free.
- NEW: Now also with free internet access via WLAN
- Even parking is possible directly at the holiday home, we have reserved a parking space for you.
- With us, the additional costs such as water, heating, firewood, electricity are all included in the price.
- Our holiday home is rented out privately, which is why we can offer you the lower prices.

About Frielendorf
The state-recognised climatic health resort of Frielendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1197 and is situated in the Kurhessische Bergland on the edge of the Knüll Mountains in northern Hesse. In addition to the core village, Frielendorf consists of fifteen other districts, some of which are even older.

The holiday home is located in the directly adjacent Silbersee holiday park.

There are three large supermarket chains in Frielendorf for grocery shopping:
- Edeka-Neukauf (by car : ~2.8 km; on foot: ~2.0 km ).
- Rewe (by car: ~3.2 km; on foot: ~2.5 km ).
- Penny (by car : ~3.3 km; on foot: ~2.8 km ).

The Silver Lake

The landscape of the municipality of Frielendorf was shaped by lignite mining for about 150 years. The Silbersee was formed by the flooding of a depression after the end of coal mining. The lake covers an area of 8 hectares and is 14 metres deep at its deepest point, with an average depth of 6.7 metres.

The holiday park

The holiday park is located in the immediate vicinity of the lake. Despite the quiet location of our holiday home on the edge of the birch forest, the lake is only 500 m away on foot or 300 m as the crow flies.

All paths in the holiday park have names based on the stories of the Brothers Grimm. Our holiday home "Waldblick" is located in Rumpelstilzchenweg number 63.

Connection and surroundings

Homberg/Efze in the northeast and Schwalmstadt in the southwest are the next largest towns near the Silbersee.

The beautiful old town of Fritzlar and the Hercules in Kassel are also worth a visit.
Frielendorf is on the Bundesstraße 254 and only 11km away is the nearest motorway junction onto the A49 towards Kassel at Neuental.
There are IC train stations in Wabern and Schwalmstadt-Treysa (both about 15 km away), and Borken/Hessen, 10 km away, has a RE train station. Frielendorf belongs to the North Hessian Transport Association (NVV). The WellnessParadies am Silbersee - family pool, wellness, sauna world.
A wide range of facilities from swimming pools, whirlpool and water slide to steam bath and sauna invite you to relax. Enjoy the view from the panoramic dry sauna, which floats directly on the Silbersee!

The Silbersee, unadulterated bathing fun
Only 350 m from the Waldblick holiday home lies the Silbersee, which invites you to enjoy the cool water at two bathing beaches. Supervision by the DLRG is available in the summer and the water is regularly checked by the public health department and always found to be excellent

Children's play paradise
The Frielo-Land is only a few minutes walk from our house and offers over m² of slides and climbing frames, trampolines, air hockey and a go-kart track - many surprises for young and old!
Thanks to the heated halls, you have the opportunity to let off steam in any weather.

Get off the sofa and up to the climbing park!
The climbing park is the youngest attraction at the Silver Lake.
Six courses of varying degrees of difficulty offer the opportunity to test your balance and dexterity

Enjoying nature on hiking and cycling trails
Our region offers many very special treasures for nature lovers. There is a wide range of hiking and cycling trails and many lakes.
The mountain sequoias on the neighbouring Sendberg are always visible, but you need more luck to see the lynxes in the forests in Melsungen or the Kellerwald National Park.

Knüll Wildlife Park
The Knüll Wildlife Park invites you to watch brown bears, lynxes and wolves. In addition, free-ranging fallow deer and red deer may also be fed by hand.

The Waldblick holiday home is located in the climatic health resort of Frielendorf. Therefore we are obliged to charge you the health resort tax. This is 1,90€ per day for adults and 0,95€ per day for children over 6 years. For guests who book the holiday home for professional reasons, the visitor's tax is waived

One dog is free of charge, 2 dogs are charged 20€ per stay.

Relaxation & Experience

A super equipped house in a beautiful location directly on the edge of the forest. Cleanliness top, great garden to relax. Price/performance ratio very good. You can experience a lot all around if you want to. It's worth it, alone or with children or dogs. Nice hosts!

Great house in a quiet location

The house is super. The landlords are very nice. Nothing is missing. The quiet location, the great garden, where you can watch many forest animals in autumn, makes you forget the everyday life quickly. You just feel at home and can relax. For children, there are many activities and opportunities to let off steam in the park. For the four-legged ones, the forest and the hiking trails around the lake are great. If we come to the Silbersee again, we would love to stay in this house again. If you would prefer to live closer to the lake, please contact the landlords. They have a second house near the lake. I'm sure that's great too!

Very well-kept and lovingly decorated house. Friendly landlady. Everything you need was available. Ideal for stressed city dwellers to relax if you are looking for peace and relaxation. The location of the house was beautiful, situated on the edge of the forest and not visible. Anytime gladly again.

All around satisfied

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the house for you. At the end of the park, directly at the forest. The furnishings leave nothing to be desired, everything you need is here and it is very cosy.
Even our 4 legged friends feel comfortable here. Many beautiful hiking trails. The lake is not far away.
We can only recommend this holiday home

Short holiday with family

This holiday home is an absolute dream. We have been to Silver Lake many times but not yet in this beautiful house. Everything you need is there and if something is missing, the landlady is there immediately. Very friendly woman. We have not been there the last time. I can only recommend it to others. We were there with two children and our dog. Directly at the forest and a heavenly peace. Great holiday home, 5 stars from us for it. Kind regards from the Koscher family

Holiday Home Forest View

The name says it all. The last house in the row surrounded by a small hedge, away from the hustle and bustle of the holiday village but still right in the middle. A beautiful privately run house with charm. You can feel the attention to detail and feel at home as soon as you arrive. It is absolutely recommended. Everything you need is available in the house. And if you don't want to cook or relax in the afternoon, you can go to the Silberseealm. Whether it's raining or sunny, there is always something to do.

Very nice holiday home in a perfect location

We, four men in our mid-20s, were looking forward to a vacation by the lake with sports activities, but the evenings should not be too short either. The lake is within a 5-minute walk. Both a volleyball court and a soccer field are near the lake, but they are both in not the best condition anymore.
The house is decorated very nicely on the inside. The garden is very large and well-maintained, a highlight is the large stone grill, which is ready for use. The house is very well insulated, so that the neighbors are not disturbed by music or louder conversations.
Another positive point is that the vacation house has two private parking spaces that can be used for free.
We can only recommend the vacation house and will definitely go there again.

Beautiful holiday home in a quiet location!

We stayed with our children and friends at this holiday home over Pentecost 2014 and can recommend it to everyone. The facilities of the holiday home are absolutely great, nothing is missing. The house is located quietly at the end of the beautiful holiday home complex! The pictures of the house deliver what they promise. The surroundings offer everything you need. The wellness treatments in the thermal baths and the indoor children's paradise in the hotel are highly recommended. If you don't feel like cooking, the restaurant in the hotel is recommended. The price-performance ratio here is great. The service and friendliness of the landlady rounded off our vacation, so we will come back next year.

Beautiful holiday home

We - two women over 70 and a small dog - spent a holiday week under the motto "get to know Germany" in the holiday home Waldblick. The location of the house was very convenient for the planned excursions. The house was a very relaxing and quiet place for us. Every day we enjoyed the tasteful, cozy furnishings - everything in purple down to the smallest detail - and enjoyed the comforts and the beautiful garden. We were spoiled with a bottle of sparkling wine, a fruit basket and chocolates as a welcome. To our great surprise, we found a bag of breakfast rolls in front of the door on the first morning. With the pastries we then ordered, Mrs. Heise delivered them to us every morning before she went to work. Mrs. Heise is a very courteous, extremely friendly hostess who really cares about the well-being of her guests. - Even bowls, a cushion and treats were provided for the dog. We also found it very pleasant that we could park our car in front of the door. We can highly recommend the accommodation for active seniors.

One plus!

After 40 years of travel with over 60 stays in holiday homes, I can hardly think of a more perfect one: comfortably furnished, absolutely quiet location - on the edge of the forest of the "Silbersee" holiday park - lovingly equipped by the owner down to the smallest details. Will be there for the third time in 2015. Overall grade: A plus!

If you have taste and are looking for it, you are in the right place in this house
100%. We have already rented many vacation homes with our two dogs, but here in Haus Waldblick everything was perfect and complete, including the landlord.
Thank you very much we will come back Klaus B.
