The well-equipped apartment is located on the 8th floor (No. 810) of a quiet apartment complex in Hotel Olympia, directly in the Olympiazentrum Kiel-Schilksee. Enjoy the proximity to the Baltic Sea, the beach free of tourist tax, and the maritime atmosphere and sailor’s paradise. There is a swimming pool within walking distance, shopping facilities (including REWE market in 15 min. Distance), sailing outfitters, the ice cream café Venezia and other gastronomy (Ristorante Pizzeria Italia, elMövenschiss or Aqua and Das Kaisers in Strande, etc.) as well as good public transport connections to Kiel city. A parking space is also available for you in the gated area to the left of the building. For golf lovers, the "Uhlenhorst" golf course is located 5 km away.
The apartment offers space for 2 people. In the renovated living and sleeping area there is a well-equipped kitchenette, with a dining option and a comfortable sofa bed (160 x 200 m lying surface, spring core mattress and box spring quality) for 2 people. There is a flatscreen with receiver (DVBT programs) as well as free Wi-Fi in the hotel lobby. In the apartment, LTE reception (current mobile phones) works very well, allowing you to access the internet quickly. The southwest-facing balcony is equipped with seating and foldable weather protection glazing. Wake up with sunshine and enjoy the fantastic view of the Olympic harbor and the Kiel Fjord every day! The building is currently still being renovated, so it will remain scaffolded until 2027. The work is mainly taking place on the roof.

Car: From the A215 motorway to Kiel, the access roads towards "Olympiazentrum" are very well signposted. Train/Public Transport: from Kiel Main Station with bus lines 501/502 - directly to Hotel Olympia (Drachenbahn stop).
Airplane: from Kiel-Holtenau Airport it is about a 5-minute drive.

The apartment is located in a quiet residential complex in the immediate vicinity of the Olympic Harbor, 24159 Kiel-Schilksee. 3 minutes from there you will find restaurants (Italian, elMövenschiss or e.g. Aqua and Das Kaisers in Strande), the ice cream parlor Venezia and the café Backbord, 2 sailing outfitters and shopping facilities (also REWE market 15 minutes away). The beach, free of tourist tax, with beach chair rental is 150 m away. The Schilksee swimming pool is 50 m away. Unfortunately, it is still being renovated!

Your vacation options are
walks on the beach, boat trips or sailing tours across the Kiel Fjord, from the Schwedenkai (Stena Line pier) in the port of Kiel, or excursions to Eckernförde, Neustadt in Holstein, the Plön lakes, or to the Kiel Canal in Holtenau. Schilksee offers an ideal starting point for a relaxing holiday. Schilksee is the northernmost district of Kiel at the mouth of the Kiel Fjord, where you can experience the sailing events up close. In summer, Schilksee is a popular excursion destination, as the "Förde buses" then dock directly at the pier in the Olympic harbor. With them you can discover the entire Kiel Fjord. Wonderful, when the large cruise ships pass by. Not to forget the "Kieler Woche", the summer and sailing festival on the fjord since . But golfing at the "Uhlenhorst" golf course, 5 km away, is also possible.
The waterfront promenades and the nearby steep coast invite you to take walks. Buses to Kiel city center run regularly very close to the residential complex. Thus, a holiday without a car is also possible.

| the price includes towels, bed linen and free parking (this is especially important during the sailing season) Smoking is not allowed in the apartment. Please inform us if something should break! We currently require a deposit. Up to now, we have been considerate of our guests in Corona times and have been understanding when it comes to cancellations and have have refunded everything to the guests if something has already been paid in advance. |

My name is Simone Schmidt and together with my parents Cornelia and Robert Schmidt we offer apartment no. 810 Seeblick-Schilksee with a view of the Baltic Sea / Kiel Fjord for travellers, sailing enthusiasts or holiday guests.
