Our "Bungalow by the Lake" is a small holiday idyll: detached on a spacious plot, surrounded by greenery and directly on Lake Holzendorf. Here you can enjoy plenty of peace, nature, and lots of space to unwind.
You enter the house through the conservatory, which is equipped all around with panoramic windows. Here you will find a large dining table with twelve chairs as well as an additional refrigerator. From the winter garden you enter the hallway, which offers ample space for jackets and shoes.
The hallway leads to the kitchen, a bathroom, three bedrooms, and the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a 4-burner ceramic cooktop and oven, side-by-side refrigerator, built-in refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee machine, as well as all necessary cooking utensils. The first, smaller bedroom on the right side has a bunk bed and a wardrobe. The second bedroom next to it is equipped with a double bed, a wardrobe, and a TV table with a 40″ TV. In the third bedroom there is a double bed, a bunk bed, a wardrobe, and a 48″ TV.
The bathroom in this area offers a shower, a washbasin, and a toilet. The spacious living room impresses with a Mediterranean fireplace, a large sofa area, a coffee table, and a 55″ TV. Like the conservatory, the living room features a south-facing panoramic window front with a magnificent view of the lake. Both rooms are connected by two patio doors and can be opened up as needed. From both the conservatory and the living room, you have direct access to the paved terrace. Garden furniture, sun umbrellas, and a stone grill are available for you there. Additionally, a private garden area belongs to the house (not fenced).
Past the fireplace, you reach the rear area of the bungalow. Here there are two more bedrooms as well as an additional bathroom, which is located between the two rooms. This bathroom is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible walk-in shower, a washbasin, a raised toilet, and underfloor heating. The left bedroom features a double bed, a single bed with electrically adjustable head and foot sections, a wardrobe, and a 48″ TV.
The right bedroom is also furnished with a double bed, a single bed, a wardrobe, and a 48″ TV.
The lakeside bungalow offers plenty of space, comfort, and a unique location directly by the lake – ideal for families or groups who wish to enjoy peace, nature, and a spacious retreat. The generously designed outdoor facilities are available to all our guests.

Bringing pets (dogs, cats, etc.) is allowed, but they must be registered when making the request and incur an extra fee.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday village Sternberger Seenland is located in Dabel, district Holzendorf, only 4 km from Sternberg – right in the beautiful nature park region “Sternberger Seenland.” On our 2.5 hectare property you stay directly on the crystal-clear Holzendorfer See. Here, your vacation begins exactly where everyday life ends: between water, forest, and wide open sky.
Along our approximately 200 meter long shoreline you will find three private bathing spots. At the campfire area, the water is very shallow – perfect for children. About 80 meters further, dogs are also allowed into the cool water. And if you prefer things even more relaxed, you’ll find our nudist beach a bit further in the direction of the forest.
Anglers will also get their money’s worth with us: from four spots on the shore, you can try your luck. Two fishing piers with benches invite you to relax. For small discovery tours on the water, ten rowboats and a swan pedal boat are available. In the park itself, you will find sunbathing lawns, benches, and a cozy campfire area – once a week, the fire crackles here for all guests (weather permitting). For children, there are two playgrounds with swings, slides, seesaws, and climbing frames. Things get sporty on the beach and volleyball court, playing soccer, basketball, football tennis, or at our four table tennis tables. In the games hall, billiards, air hockey, and table football provide fun. All houses, holiday apartments, and mobile homes face south and offer a view of the lake – whether from the balcony or the terrace. Garden furniture and a charcoal grill are, of course, included.
The surrounding area also has much to offer: bicycle rental, another bathing spot, forest hiking, riding and cycling trails start practically at your doorstep and are not far away. Sternberg with its historic old town, church, and museum café can be reached in just a few minutes. Numerous excursion destinations such as the Slavic fortress Groß Raden, the Dobbertin Monastery, or Schwerin with its castle and Güstrow with its nature park invite you to go on discovery tours.
And if you are drawn to the sea, Baltic Sea beaches such as those on the island of Poel, in Boltenhagen or Warnemünde are easily accessible. The Hanseatic cities of Wismar or Rostock are also suitable for a day trip. Even Hamburg or Berlin are easy to reach. Holzendorf is located in the heart of Mecklenburg – between the Baltic Sea, Lake Schwerin and Lake Müritz, in the triangle of Schwerin–Güstrow–Wismar. Here you can experience the “land of a thousand lakes” with its impressive wildlife: white-tailed eagles, cranes, and kingfishers are not uncommon.
Whether a family holiday, group trip, active vacation, senior trip or barrier-free stay – with us you will find peace, nature, sports, games, and plenty of relaxation. And sometimes all it takes is a jetty, a sunset, and the gentle lapping of the lake to know: This is exactly where I wanted to be.

Fishing holiday
We were a group of 8 anglers, who enjoyed their week there very much. The fishing success was also there with pikes ranging from 50 - 86 cm and perch over 32 cm. The weather was good and the location is absolutely peaceful there.
