Actually a nice little house
We, a couple with a dog, rented the holiday home from June 7 to June 14, 2025.
The holiday home is located in a very quiet and well-maintained complex. Each house has a designated parking space in front of the gated complex. A footpath of about 10 minutes over the dunes leads directly to the water.
Unfortunately, the house needs a major renovation, as it has several deficiencies.
The flooring on the upper floor is poorly laid and damaged everywhere. The double bed (1.40m x 1.90m) upstairs on the left creaks with every movement. Here is a small corner with a rod with hangers to hang laundry. There is also a sideboard here. In the second bedroom, there is one wooden bed and two metal beds. The upper floor is accessible via a very steep staircase. On the ground floor, there are the entrance, living room, a dining area, as well as the kitchen and the bathroom. There is enough, but unfortunately mismatched dishes (plates and bowls partially defective) in the kitchen. The oven in the stove is defective; a mini oven has been provided as a replacement. The extractor hood above the gas stove is dirty and sticky. In the living room, there are 2 orange armchairs (which have long seen their best days), a table, and a 3-seater couch. In the bathroom, the window should not be opened as it is broken. For this, one should use an exhaust fan above the washing machine. With the PVC wall tiles, most of the coating is gone, and it looks (at least to me) like an unplastered wall. The shower doors are dirty and rusting heavily in the corners.
The seating area in front of the house is also in poor condition. The table is still stable, but the chairs are not. In the storage room behind the house, there are still a few plastic chairs with seat cushions. Here is a sunshade and a cart to possibly transport luggage from the car to the accommodation.
Too many deficiencies, therefore no recommendation.

Always a pleasure
We have been here for the 4th time now. The house offers everything you need, is clean and tastefully furnished. The way to the beach over the dunes is a bit cumbersome with a stroller - doesn't have to be via the stairs, there's another way - but the view makes up for it all. Pure relaxation. The area is car-free and a cart is available to transport everything from the car to the house. We would love to come back.

Beautiful house near the beach
The house was clean and tidy. The furnishings are typical Dutch. It was noticeable that the house is advertised for 5 people, but only has 4 beds. Person number 5 must be a baby that fits into the existing travel cot. There is a makeshift stair gate upstairs, which is very sensible for the typical steep stairs. The washing machine stained our laundry, 95 degrees instead of 40, without warning. In the kitchen, there was more tableware than the number of occupants allowed, so finally more than 4 plates for 4 persons. Very pleasant. In terms of space, we could comfortably eat with more than 4 persons. In other reviews, there was mention of a "campground atmosphere." This may refer to not having a private, enclosed garden and people passing by being able to see everything on your plate. However, this didn't bother us. The location is simply great. From the living room, one looks through a large window at the dunes (of course, past other houses). It is only a few minutes' walk to the beach. Beautiful play opportunities for children are available in the park.
Of note for families with small children in strollers is that along the entire southern coast of Walcheren, while you can push the stroller up to the dunes, there are dozens of stairs to navigate down to the beach; one must be willing to carry the stroller for a long distance. You can't get to the beach with a handcart (unless you also carry it). For people with limited mobility, in my opinion, the house is not suitable because the staircase to the bedrooms is very steep. You can easily do everything by bike from the house. Bike rental "Spar mit Fahrradvermietung" is about a 10-minute walk away. Unfortunately, there was no personal contact with the landlord on-site. We would definitely book the house again.
