In the former post office of Lauenstein, directly on the Müglitz.
The flat is located in the former service rooms, was lavishly and lovingly renovated, is approx. 65 m² in size and offers:

1 large bright living room with radio, cable TV,
and sofa bed
Kitchen with refrigerator, cooker, etc.
1 large bedroom with comfortable double bed
Bathroom with shower and WC
Bed linen and towels are of course included.
A parking space is located directly behind the house.

Location and surroundings of object

The former Lauenstein post office is located in the centre of Lauenstein, very close to the castle and the market square.
Directly on the Müglitz, and as King Johann of Saxony (1801-1873) said, in the most beautiful valley in Saxony. Approx. 8 km before Altenberg and Zinnwald or the border to the Czech Republic.

In the village you will find important things, some shopping facilities and restaurants, bakery, hairdresser etc.. - all within a few minutes' walk.

The motorway A17 Dresden-Prague is only about 8 km away.
From the city of Dresden you are only about 25 min by car at the post office Lauenstein.
It takes about 80 minutes to get to Prague.

The Müglitztalbahn stops about 500 m away at the Lauenstein railway station.
The VVO buses stop within sight of the house. Lauenstein ...
is a district of the town of Geising, situated in the Osterzgebirge, on the Müglitz, in the most beautiful valley of Saxony (quotation from King Johann of Saxony /1801-1873).

You have many possibilities for excursions in the near surroundings, like :
- Lauenstein Castle with Post Museum
- Geisingberg (824m) with lookout tower
- Mückentürmchen in Krupka (CZ) with chair lift
- Glashütte with clock museum
- Altenberg with luge and bobsleigh track, summer toboggan run, mining museum
- Bärenfels spa park with Meissen porcelain carillon

In addition to extensive hikes - to the Mückentürmchen (CZ), which you can start directly at the house due to its location - you will also find many other sights in both directions of the Müglitztal. For example, you can reach the world-famous watchmaking town of Glashütte in just a few minutes. Or the baroque castle of Weesenstein.
In winter you will find cross-country skiing trails as well as various downhill runs with ski lifts, e.g. in Geising and Altenberg. The bobsleigh run in Altenberg regularly hosts international competitions.
