Description

Our chalet is a special place in the Swiss Alps at 2000m altitude. The area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It offers you unique views, heavenly peace, a sunny climate and sporting entertainment

The chalet consists of two identical holiday flats with a balcony on the south side. They are cosy, bright flats for 6-7 people. The view is breathtaking. We will rent out the larger ground floor flat from summer 2018
The holiday flats in the chalet are rented from mid-June to mid-October and from Christmas to Easter

Each flat has three bedrooms, with two beds per room. There is also a shower and toilet on the ground floor, and a cosy living room with lounge sofa and large dining table. There is an open kitchen, flat screen TV (with HDMI connection), DVD / radio / CD player, free WIFI. Each holiday flat has a cot and a high chair for children.

Ideal for families and groups of friends
The chalet consists of two flats for 6 people, each with 3 bedrooms. The chalet is ideal for larger groups. You can enjoy your privacy and at the same time the atmosphere of togetherness

Our chalet is located on the Belalp, a small village at 2000m altitude, just above the tree line. Belalp is located in the Aletsch Glacier area, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Alps and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In winter, Belalp is an exclusive ski area with 60 km of pistes, wonderful snow and all this without queues. The holiday home is located directly on the ski slope with ski-in and ski-out facilities
In summer, Belalp turns into a sunny hiking area

Winter | skiing fun from christmas to easter
Belalp is a clearly laid out and varied ski area with a balanced mix of blue pistes for beginners and (very) challenging runs for advanced and "off-piste" skiers / snowboarders. The biggest attraction is the 150 m long ski tunnel on the Hohstock at an altitude of 3112m. After the tunnel, fantastic pistes reveal themselves. The pistes are prepared until Easter, which in 2019 means until 20 April!
All necessary facilities are nearby: Ski / snowboard rental, ski lifts, ski school, practice lifts and childcare. It's all less than a minute's skiing from the chalet

Summer | enjoyment and sporting pleasures
There's something for everyone in Belalp: you can go for a walk or hike, take part in mountain tours, make a trip to the Aletsch Glacier or a tandem parachute jump. They can enjoy the sun by the mountain lake or on the balcony of their personal alpine hut, with a good book and a cool lemonade. If you're in the mood for something more hearty, you can treat yourself to fresh milk, cheese and yoghurt at the nearby alpine farm

FROM HIKING TO WELLNESS
Directly from the chalet you can go on various hiking tours, to Nessel, Foggenhorn, Sparrhorn and via the panoramic path to the Oberaletsch hut. In 30 minutes you can reach the Hotel Belalp, where you will be captivated by the phenomenal view of the famous Aletsch Glacier. Thrill seekers should cross the over 90-metre high suspension bridge and pay a visit to Riederalp or abseil down the Massa Gorge. In Brig there are several swimming pools the Thermalbad Brigerbad. At the end of the day, you can relax on one of the cosy terraces of the restaurants or indulge in complete tranquillity in the wellness area of the Hamilton Lodge. This is about 300 metres from your chalet and the glacier spa has everything your sauna heart desires: Finnish sauna, bio sauna, whirlpool and hot tub (outside and with a good view of the Alps).

DETOUR TO ITALY
Isn't it nice to make a few excursions into the surrounding area every now and then? There are no limits to what you can do. Take the Gotthardt Bahn to Zermatt and the Matterhorn or even a day in Italy to Lake Maggiore. You can take the car over the Simplonpas or the train from Brig. It's worth it! If you prefer to stay at home, you can easily reach the village of Belalp by cable car. Holidays on the Belalp - a unique experience!

Peace and quiet and all facilities on site
Belalp is a car-free area and easily accessible by cable car. This is one of the reasons that make the place so special. If you want, you can stay on the mountain for the whole holiday: there is plenty of choice for sporting and culinary entertainment. A small but nice Vis-a-Vis shop offers freshly baked bread in the morning. At a distance of 400m there are four good restaurants: the Hamilton Lodge & Spa (panoramic terrace, excellent menu), Restaurant Aletschhorn (regional cuisine), Restaurant Bergstation (Valaisan cuisine) and Pizzeria Skilift. Our chalet is located approx. 300 m west of the cable car mountain station
