Welcome to our lovingly furnished thatched-roof house on the island of Rügen – a place to arrive, breathe deeply, and feel at home.
Nestled in the peaceful nature of Ummanz, a stylishly furnished holiday home for up to 6 people awaits you.
Whether relaxing days by the Bodden, extensive bike tours, cozy evenings by the fireplace, or a break in the sauna – here you will find the perfect place to leave everyday life behind. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sauna, a wood-burning stove, a fully equipped country kitchen, and a bright living and dining area with a view of the greenery.
In the lovingly landscaped garden, the terrace, seating furniture, beach chair, sun umbrella, and stone oven grill invite you to linger.
Those who wish to combine work and relaxation are also in the right place with us. Enjoy the peace of the island and combine home office (fiber optic network) with a little break by the sea. The cancellation terms that are stipulated in our rental conditions apply. You will receive the rental conditions along with the rental agreement. You may cancel up to 6 weeks before arrival. However, the deposit will not be refunded.

In Gingst, 6 km away, there is a supermarket with an integrated bakery for your fresh breakfast rolls and other shopping. You can also cycle directly from the holiday home to Gingst along a beautiful bike path.
Right at the harbor within walking distance, the restaurant Kuterschnute offers you many delicacies & souvenirs, and a few meters further is the cafe Zuckerkuss.
Directly on the dike you will find the Tikkibar with delicious pizza and cocktails. The adventure farm Kliewe and Lange can be reached on foot. At both farms you can enjoy traditional cuisine, much of it from their own production.
In the farm shops you can buy many homemade delicacies and foods.
There is also a large program for small and "big" children.
In the immediate vicinity (approx. 100 m) you can swim (small natural beach), at the campsite you can swim, surf, stand-up paddle (also available for rent) and kite surf (kite school also available).
Or visit the beautiful sandy beach of Prora and enjoy a nice, extensive swim here.
The Baltic Sea Coastal Cycle Path and the Rügen Round Tour with a beautiful section over the island of Ummanz also pass directly by our holiday home (100 m). We provide 2 simple house bikes for you for a fee. Further bicycle rental on the island.
The island of Rügen offers countless opportunities for activities of all kinds.
For example, be sure to plan a visit to the world-famous chalk cliffs, Königsstuhl in Jasmund National Park, and take a ride on the Rasender Roland (historic narrow-gauge railway).
In the summer months, a visit to the Störtebeker Festival is highly recommended.
Or visit the car-free neighboring island of Hiddensee.

Dreamlike holiday home
We spent 10 days in the beautiful holiday home in a quiet location. Such a well-equipped house with great attention to detail is very rare to find. Everything you need is available, the house is spick and span clean. The cozy garden with various seating options and a great beach chair also invites you to linger. The surroundings are ideal for cycling/walking - pure nature without large crowds... We felt very comfortable. Mrs. Schwanke is a very nice and always reachable hostess to whom we would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful time. If we want to visit Rügen again, we would book here immediately.

Highly recommended without reservation, really TOP
We had a wonderful time in this holiday home on Ummanz and can recommend it without reservation.
The house is furnished with great attention to detail and radiates a special feel-good atmosphere from the very first moment. The high-quality furnishings leave nothing to be desired – from the well-equipped kitchen to the tastefully decorated living and sleeping areas, everything has been considered. The quiet location a bit away from the hustle and bustle was just right for us. Here one finds relaxation, nature, and the opportunity to leave everyday life behind. Despite the tranquil surroundings, the most beautiful corners of Rügen are easily accessible.
Special praise goes to the landlord. She was exceptionally friendly, warm, and always helpful. For questions or concerns, she was always reachable and made sure that we felt completely comfortable. This personal and attentive service enriched our stay even further.
From the first to the last day, we felt very well taken care of and greatly enjoyed the special atmosphere of the house. Those who value quality, tranquility, and a lovingly designed holiday home are exactly right here. We would love to come back!

A dream holiday home
The contact with Mrs. Schwanke was uncomplicated and cordial from the beginning, all questions were answered quickly. The house is quietly located and fantastically furnished, every corner with a lot of taste and love. The kitchen is well equipped - nothing is missing! We also enjoyed the sauna. We felt very comfortable - and especially in bad weather we were very happy about this cosy retreat. Just right if you appreciate peace and pure nature.
The "only" four stars for the location are solely due to the fact that it is located on the western edge of Rügen, which means longer car journeys to most tourist destinations.

Lovely little house
It was perfect for us for the low season: fireplace, sauna and feet up and that was possible with the furnishings. From beautiful furnishings to a cosy blanket - nothing was missing. We also really liked the area on Ummanz. Quiet but beautiful
