We renovated the A-House in 2024, installed a completely new kitchen and a beautiful designer wood stove.
Very quiet location, 2 bedrooms, separate WC, open living room with beautiful wood stove and very private garden.
Welcome to the 'A-Haus' in Scharendijke.
Our holiday home is very quiet, with all comforts, tasteful decoration, completely renovated, 25 minutes on foot to the sea, 3 minutes to Grevelingen beach, free parking on the property. If you want to go to the beach, you can park for free at Brouwersdam beach. Ideal for divers, surfers, sailors, kiters, cyclists, and simply beach vacationers and relaxers.
In Scharendijke, the enchanting beaches of Schouwen Duiveland begin, with more than 21 km in length.
Wonderful quiet natural beaches, beaches with a bit more hustle and bustle, and nudist beaches where you are alone with the dunes and the sea alternate. Dreamlike cycling paths through the dunes lead you along the various beach crossings.

Location and surroundings of object
Scharendijke is located on the island of Schouwen-Duiveland, the most northern island of Zeeland. To the south it is joined by the Zeeland and Sturmflutwehrung with the island Noord-Beveland, to the north and west by the Brouwersdam and the Grevelingendam with the island Goeree-Overflakkee and the mainland. The region has the most sunshine hours of the Netherlands and differs markedly from the northern Dutch beaches.
Scharendijke is a small village, where all achieved best by foot or by bicycle. The small center with a supermarket, three or four other stores and as many cafes and restaurants in 5 minutes. It is 15 minutes walking or 5 minutes by bike to the North Sea beach. (On the Brouwersdam you can also park free in summer.) 'De Achthoek' is the street name - in German 'The Octagon'. The road in 1972 for cottages 'A House' is located in the plant. This has the advantage that it is very convenient private (favored by many trees and shrubs all around) and far enough away from the road, so you have to worry about any noise. The Yacht Haven (850 moorings) is reached on foot in about 1 minute.
In the center of the complex is a large playing field.
You can find a short driving directions on our website Scharendijke is a small cozy village with marina on 'Grevelingenmeer' and with beautiful, long North Sea beaches. The Brouwersdam protect the Grevelinge off the North Sea and connects the islands Schouwen-Duiveland and Goeree-Overflakkee. As rather featureless but typically Dutch village it has its windmill, and a supermarket with a bakery, a newsagent, and a couple of nice cafes and restaurants. Scharendijke is an ideal starting point for all kinds of water sports, for beautiful cycling tours or to the beach, sea air and nature experience. The marina has been reached in one minute by foot. Walk to the beach from the house a nice path along the dike of the Grevelingen Sea in a pleasant quarter of an hour.

For cancellation of the trip: if cancelled up to 90 days before the start of the rental, the cancellation is free of charge. If cancelled 59-40 days before the start of the rental, the costs are 30% of the rental price with a minimum of 150 Euros, 39-21 days before the start of the rental, 40% of the rental price with a minimum of 150 Euros, from 20 days before the start of the rental, 100% of the rental price. Please consider taking out travel cancellation insurance - remember to cover cancellations due to COVID-19!

The interior floor area of the house at ground level is approximately 74m² in total.
It is furnished for up to four people.
When you enter the property and the house, you immediately get the relaxing feeling of being able to let go.
A pleasant, soothing atmosphere spreads throughout. This is due to the aura of the house itself, but also to the tasteful furnishings.
On the ground floor there are:
1.) the spacious living room,
with a wood-burning stove, a comfortable sofa, and two reading armchairs. QLED Smart TV with 'Chromecast' and 'Apple Air Play' and a DENON soundbar with Bluetooth. This way you can stream movies and music and easily log into your own Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV and Spotify… accounts :-)
2. ) The open kitchen
with cozy dining area (Piet Hein Eek chairs) is equipped with dishwasher, induction cooktop, convection oven with top and bottom heat and grill, refrigerator with 3-star freezer compartment, coffee machine, Nespresso machine and “Bodum French Press” coffee maker (so there’s something for every coffee taste :-)

3.) Bathroom with shower, washbasin and mirrored cabinet
4.) Separate WC with hand basin
5. ) Area with wardrobe and washing machine
The spacious window fronts on both sides of the living room open the space to the outside and bring nature inside.
A super-fast wireless broadband internet connection is available free of charge.
On the floor there are two bedrooms, each with a 160 cm wide double bed, armchair, and built-in wardrobes.
OUTSIDE: Dense greenery towards the path and neighbors provides protection from prying eyes.

Perfect A-House
We had (once again) a wonderful holiday in the perfectly equipped house. The children felt very comfortable and made great use of the great garden to play in. The beach and the sea are within walking distance. There is nothing missing in the house, simply an oasis of well-being!
We would love to come back again!

Wunderschönes Zeeland
We had a lovely week in the cute, peacefully located A-House. The kitchen provided everything you need for cooking. The beach was nearby, and the marina invited for evening walks. We also really enjoyed the beautiful, green garden. We would love to come back!

Top!!!
As long as you don't forget your bathing suit, you will definitely get along in the A-House! We have never had such a well-equipped vacation home like this one (and we have had several). Everything you could possibly need is truly available here, from the beach shelter to the garlic press. The house is lovingly furnished, the garden and location are great. The landlords are extremely friendly, and the communication was superb - they replied to every email in no time. We can absolutely recommend the A-House and would book it again immediately.
And very important. . . it was our first holiday home where none of us had back pain from the mattresses. 5 stars just for that.

Top-notch house in a quiet beachside residential complex. Nothing is missing here. The beaches here are simply fantastic. Easily reachable by car or bike in a few minutes. Everything is very well maintained. We will come back.
