Haus Schadnbauer is a small and very family-run bed and breakfast with cosy, well-equipped guest rooms. Sunny and quiet, situated directly at the edge of the forest at 1000m above sea level, you can enjoy the wonderful view over the Upper Drau Valley in Carinthia.
A special advantage of our region is the extremely mild climate, which is influenced by the warm influx of Mediterranean air from the south.
An ideal place for hiking and relaxing - simply for a holiday.
Berg im Drautal is an ideal starting point for excursions to the Carinthian lakes and sights, or to neighbouring Slovenia and Italy.
In the surrounding area there are hiking trails as well as activities such as paragliding, golf, canyoning and much more.
All our cosy guest rooms are equipped with shower, WC and satellite TV as well as free W-LAN. You can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Upper Carinthian mountains directly from your balcony or from our large sun terrace.

Cycling and mountain biking:
The Drau Cycle Path (R1) leads from the border of South Tyrol through the Drau Valley to the southern Carinthian region (230 km).
The difference in altitude between Sillian (starting point, East Tyrol) and Völkermarkt is only 640 m, so pleasant cycling without major exertion is guaranteed.
The ride leads past many sights, varied landscapes (Drau floodplains, lakes, farmland, greenery) and invites you to take many detours into the surrounding area (buildings, gorges, etc.).
Mountain bikers will find around 15 fantastic and challenging routes in and around Berg im Drautal; e-bikes can be rented in the village.
The Berg im Drautal adventure swimming pool offers 2 swimming pools, including a children's pool with a water slide, a paddling pool, a large sunbathing lawn, children's playground and beach volleyball court.
