Haus Reichstädt offers you a good starting point for your ventures into the rural beauty, explorations of history, crafts or even culture and art in the surrounding area.
In only 5 min. walking distance from Haus Reichstädt you can reach the smallest highest Dutch windmill in Saxony and enjoy a beautiful view all the way to Dresden when the weather is nice. Hiking trails along the wild Weißeritz and the Klingenberg and Lehnmühle dams let you immerse yourself in secluded nature. For horse enthusiasts, a small horse farm in the immediate vicinity awaits your visit. For swimming fun, the Malter dam and the Dorfhain adventure pool are inviting. Or do you prefer climbing? Then we recommend the high ropes course in Paulsdorf or for experienced climbers the Saxon Switzerland Climbing Paradise.
The proximity to Dresden, Meißen and Prague offers you attractive day trip destinations. Not far from the beautiful cultural city of Dresden and at the same time gateway to the Eastern Ore Mountains, the village of Reichstädt is idyllically situated in a valley snow in the middle of the Weißeritz district. For about 7 km, the village winds its way up through the valley to an altitude of 560 metres, overcoming a difference in altitude of about 200 metres. Visit Reichstädt Castle with its adjoining park, the sheep farm with its spinning room, the ceramics workshop with its shop or the smallest and highest Dutch windmill. You can enjoy the beautiful hilly landscape on the panoramic Firstenweg or in the valley along the Wilde Weißeritz or on many other hiking possibilities in the surrounding area.

Great for a group trip.

We stayed with a mixed group of 7 people (aged 40-84). The distribution with so many rooms is ideal, as it allows for accommodating several couples and singles, which can often be difficult. The large kitchen with a table for many diners and the communal room allowed us to have great social gatherings during breakfast and in the evenings. During the day, there is a lot to discover in the nearby and further surroundings for all age groups.

The apartment is located on the first floor and is accessible by stairs, but is also suitable for physically restricted travelers due to the ground-level showers.

One should not be deceived by the map - the "main road" is not heavily trafficked, and thanks to the thick walls and good windows, you don't actually hear any noises from outside while sleeping. The large balcony faces the courtyard anyway...

The equipment is practical; everything you need is there, from a microwave to a dishwasher, from a frying pan to a washing machine and Wi-Fi. It's not a designer kitchen or designer furniture, but furnishings that match the house. Everything is clean and well-maintained.

In conclusion: we will be back!

And last but not least: uncomplicated, nice landlords who are nearby when you need them.

Great vacation house for family reunions.

We spent a nice Advent weekend here. The two vacation apartments were spacious and well laid out. Everything we needed was available. A large kitchen and a large living room invite you to linger. Outside, the children also have their fun. The surrounding area is also worth exploring (Talsperre Lehnmühle and Klingenberg).
I have to mention one point of criticism:
The utility bill is very high. This must be taken into account in the winter. I hope that the price per kWh (heat) will be charged more fairly in the future.

wonderful overnight accommodation for several families

We stayed at Haus Reichstädt for a weekend with 10 adults and 11 children and can only warmly recommend it to everyone. Everything was just right: spacious living/dining area, fully equipped kitchen, lovingly furnished rooms (exactly as shown in the pictures), very clean, friendly landlords - everything was just right and we felt very well looked after. Despite the location on the main road, it is quiet. The children can play in the yard and on the hill, far from the road

5 stars are absolutely justified here.

Plenty of space and happy to come back!

Very clean accommodation! The contact with the landlady is very good and uncomplicated. The house offers a lot of space and is very well equipped. Garden with trampoline and swing. There are several excursion destinations nearby.

Everything is great! Super stay!

I was there with a larger group, so we had seen many rooms. The facilities are really top, really nice and hygienic! Great bathrooms and kitchens! In the kitchens there were more utensils and tools (certain cutlery, other kitchen accessories) than I have in my kitchen at home! Super practical for cooking for many people, which we did every day. Great nature around, very friendly hosts, I could sleep great. Living room available With
Piano to end the evening together. Everything is really top, I would always go there again?

Gladly again!

Upper floor ideal for larger groups, lots of space in the common room (with piano); very large kitchen, well equipped, with large terrace; modern bathrooms with extra: hairdryer and washing machine; everything very clean; small very lovingly individually furnished, cosy, simple bedrooms; outside towards the field lots of space for children to play, trampoline, swing; arrangements were very uncomplicated possible; a very fair price - all in all I felt very comfortable and will gladly come again.

Very gladly again!

Clean, spacious and family-friendly accommodation with plenty of space (indoors and outdoors) and rustic charm. Ideal for hiking in the beautiful surroundings due to its proximity to the outskirts of town, and very well suited and conveniently located for trips to the Erzgebirge mountains, Dresden, etc. (for travelers with a car, otherwise it might be a bit complicated). The furnishings are simple, but everything is clean and intact. The kitchen equipment is very comfortable and extensive, even for larger families/groups.
Fair price and uncomplicated, flexible and absolutely reliable arrangements.
We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back again.

A lot of space to feel comfortable.

I had wonderful days with my children (8 and 6 years old). They were able to use the huge outdoor area to play and explore. Amongst a lot of greenery, you can relax in the sun or seek shade under the trees. The house is also very spacious. The fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired and having two bathtubs is rare on vacation, as well as such large bedrooms. The house is not completely renovated - some details took me back decades. But that's what gives it its special flair. The neighbors are each a good distance away - you really have privacy. For families, it is an ideal place to relax and experience with plenty of space inside and outside!
