Description
The house was built in 1858 and served as lighthouse for the ships in the entrance to the harbour of Concarneau.
The facade is still protected by the " Domaine maritime " because the inscription "Lanriec" still serves the ships as a reference point.
Near the main house is a small independent house which served at that time as a warehouse for the powder for the production of the light signal. Now this house was reshaped in a bedroom.
The house has been renovated completely and will be available for renting from April 1st, 2013. It has a floor space of 100 m2 and 300 m2 lawn and offers:
- 2 bedrooms with a double bed (140 cms)
- 2 bedrooms with two single beds (90 cms)
- furnished kitchen with oven, dishwasher, washer,
- Bath with 2 wash basins and 1 shower
- Living room with fire-place,LCD TV, DVD player, "Chesterfield" Leather sofa
- Terrace with BBQ, garden furniture, beachchairs
The renovation was done with Materialen from quality: parquet floors from massive wood.

Concarneau (Breton: Konk Kerne, meaning Bay of Cornwall) is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France.
The town has two distinct areas: the modern town on the mainland and the medieval Ville Close, a walled town on a long island in the centre of the harbour. Historically, the old town was a centre of shipbuilding. The Ville Close is now devoted to tourism with many restaurants and shops aimed at tourists. However restraint has been shown in resisting the worst excesses of souvenir shops. Also in the Ville Close is the fishing museum. The Ville Close is connected to the town by a drawbridge and at the other end a ferry to the village of Lanriec on the other side of the harbour.

Simply wonderful!
We spent an unforgettable holiday together with friends in the Maison du Phare. The house is spacious inside and out and very well equipped. Our favourite place: the comfortable sun deck in the garden - look out to sea, admire the sunsets and enjoy life. It's wonderful! The house is in a quiet location, yet Concarneau is only a stone's throw away. It offers a great starting point for all kinds of activities. And the care provided by the landlord left nothing to be desired. We will be back!

Cozy atmosphere
The holiday home is conveniently located, offers a great view of the sea, and the location allows you to walk and take a small passenger ferry to the center of Concarneau. The location of Concarneau is well suited to explore the sights and attractions of the region.

A lighthouse keeper's cottage - a very special vacation home!
Located directly by the sea, with the possibility to explore the old town of Concarneau on foot. Very tasteful furnishings!
