Description

Unique landscapes, slow food, wines, rich cultural heritage, that is Piedmont. Whether excursions to the nearby mountains, to the sea, to the wine-growing regions, or Genoa and Turin, whether sporting activities, strolling through markets, shopping at the Mondovicino outlet center or dolce far niente, the choice is yours. The country house, thoroughly renovated with much love and care, is located in a sunny, traffic-free area on the edge of the village, surrounded by meadows and forest with various cozy seating areas and a 180-degree panoramic view of the Western and Maritime Alps. The wooden deck by the garden house at the end of the property is the ideal place to enjoy a fine glass of wine at sunset. Whether on the partially glazed panoramic terrace with balcony furniture and sun loungers, under the vine arbor, in the hammock, everyone will find their favorite spot.

The holiday home Allegria offers space for 4 people, ideally +2 people. On the upper floor there is 1 room with a box spring bed with a continuous mattress, 1 room with a double bed with a continuous mattress and 1 single bed. The two rooms are connected by a panoramic balcony. On the ground floor there is a daylight shower bathroom, washing machine, the kitchen, the living room with a comfortable sofa bed for 2 people, satellite/cable TV and Wi-Fi. The holiday house is furnished with modern and antique furniture. Natural materials such as terracotta, linen, wood, rattan, and beautiful fabrics create a feel-good atmosphere. Central heating with solar energy support and a wood stove provide coziness on cold days.
All windows and balcony doors have mosquito nets in metal frames. When not in use, they can be pushed up and at the doors pushed to the side.
In the well-equipped kitchen with gas stove, oven, and dishwasher – from toaster to porcelain by Kahla to capsule coffee machine, wok, and Le Creuset roaster – it is a pleasure to cook with regional market products. Basic foodstuffs, spices, vinegar, oil, dish soap, and laundry detergent are provided. You can also barbecue outdoors, or after a 10-minute walk enjoy regional specialties at the village restaurant Castello. Location and surroundings of object

Ciglie is a small village with 200 inhabitants. It is located in southern Piedmont, 30 km south of Barolo. Situated at 550 m above sea level, it has a pleasant microclimate. In the village of Bastia Mondovi, 5 km away, there is full infrastructure with shops, ATM, pizzeria, post office, towns with markets in Mondovi and Carru (also swimming pool) each 10 km away. Tennis, horseback riding in the area. Several golf courses are within a 50 km radius, e.g. in Cherasco 37 km, Monforte and Barolo 28 km. Cycling, jogging, and hiking directly from the holiday home. By train from Mondovi, you can reach the Ligurian coast and Turin without parking problems, both in just over an hour.

From Ciglie you can visit the many culturally rich places, castles, and palaces. In an hour you are in Turin and in Genoa with its beautiful city centers and museums, in just over an hour in the higher mountains and on the Ligurian coast. 5 km from Ciglie in Bastia Mondovi is the chapel of San Fiorenzo with restored frescoes from the 15th century. Further medieval chapels with beautiful frescoes can be found in the area: S. Maurizio in Roccaforte Mondovi with Romanesque-Byzantine frescoes. The pilgrimage church of Vicoforte has the largest elliptical dome in the world. In the Castello di Grinzane Cavour is the "Enoteca Regionale dell Piemonte", the largest and most important collection of Piedmontese wines (of course with sales). In Barolo, besides the finest wines, there is a corkscrew museum. A funicular connects Breo, the old town of Mondovi, with the upper district Piazza. The time will not be enough, so that you will want to come back.

Every year from May until and including October, my painting courses with culture and enjoyment take place in the loft studio below the holiday home Allegria. Pure relaxation in a very well-maintained holiday home

The beautifully located holiday home at the end of a cul-de-sac is an excellent starting point for hikes, bike tours, and sightseeing. From the nearby Ceva, relaxed trips to the sea by train are also possible. If you want to do nothing for a while, the various seating options around and at the house provide opportunities for reading, enjoying an aperitif, and letting your soul dangle. The very well-equipped kitchen is particularly noteworthy. Reliable and fast Wi-Fi connection. Cécile is an extremely gracious host who discreetly stays in the background but is there when you need her and always open for a "chat." We really enjoyed our time at Allegria. Would love to come back.

Country house in a quiet location

The house is located in a very quiet and beautiful, exposed location. The furnishings are comfortable, the kitchen is super generously equipped, and everything is spotlessly clean. If you like to set up a cozy home and cook for yourself, this is the right place. The house offers enough space for two people, but it may get a bit cramped with more people inside in bad weather.

Simply fantastic

The house in a fantastic location in the small village of Ciglie is really recommended in all aspects. Peace and pure nature and yet equipped with everything, even two terraces to choose from! Cecile is committed to ensuring that the guests are very well taken care of and comprehensive information is also provided. Would love to come back to Allegria in Ciglie, to the culinary region of Piedmont!

Simply switch off

A nice quiet place away from the hustle and bustle, nice to get to know the Piedmont or to relax. A car is not absolutely necessary to get to know the beautiful area, because Cècile also recommends and offers day trips in the surroundings.

Great for relaxing

Great holiday home with super facilities, including coffee machine. The view is magnificent. For those not afraid to drive up the mountain, car is essential. There were two of us but there would have been more room. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Landlady was very pleasant, good preparation and very pleasant contact.

Beautiful time out in Piedmont

A very well equipped holiday home at the end of an old village
From the large terrace you have a wonderful view, there are shady and sunny spots depending on your preference
The house has a very well equipped kitchen, you are not limited even as an ambitious cook!
The bathroom is pleasantly large and also has a washing machine. There is also plenty of storage space
There is a restaurant in the village that doesn't offer star cuisine, but doesn't have to hide either
The drives through Piedmont are always worth a trip. There are beautiful old towns, the sea and Liguria are also just over an hour away and offer a wonderful drive through the different valleys
The hostess has many tips and was always responsive to questions

We enjoyed it all very much and would love to come back again ??

Highly recommended for those seeking peace and quiet.

A very beautiful house with a breathtaking view that we couldn't get enough of.
The facilities are unbeatable, especially in the kitchen, where nothing is missing. Cooking is really fun here, and then you can enjoy it on the large terrace. Tips for tours in the area, restaurants, and many other things are lovingly compiled in a folder with great effort.
Booking and handover on-site were handled without any problems. We would like to thank Mrs. Beck once again for the week in your house, the same goes for the very nice neighbor Bruno, who supplied us with cherries and apricots.

We, a couple 60+, arrived with our e-bikes and enjoyed our stay in the Allegria holiday home
The small house proved to be perfectly equipped for our needs, the many cosy places around the house, the view/s and the surroundings delighted us. Even in late autumn, we could still soak up southern warmth, on the terrace, in the immediate vicinity or during excursions in the immediate vicinity. On rainy days we found the pleasantly heated house cosy and homely

Despite beautiful tours, as e-bike riders we realised that a car would be advisable due to the location. The nearer and further surroundings offer a lot of possibilities, we also found Mondovì absolutely worth a trip. We will have fond memories of our stay at "Allegria"

Our host/landlady gave us a warm welcome, advised us well and supported us when needed, thank you very much for that!

Great location, beautiful view.

We explored the surroundings with the help of the detailed information folder. We were very satisfied with the kitchen, it was really very well equipped. The bedrooms are nicely furnished. The lovingly compiled information led us to many beautiful places. The CDs and the many books suited our taste. The garden house is a very nice retreat at the end of the vineyard.

Holiday home with a feel-good guarantee

A beautifully equipped holiday home, lovingly renovated and furnished. The location is rather secluded, guaranteeing tranquility and an unobstructed view of the beautiful landscape. The elaborately designed folder with numerous tips for excursions, restaurants, and sights was a great help. Also, neighbor Bruno, who checked on us every day and was concerned about our well-being. The many beautiful spots in and around the house practically invite you to dolce far niente. We were only two, but the house offers enough space for more people, as there are many retreat options. Many good restaurants nearby invite you to culinary excursions, but the great kitchen in the holiday home also makes you want to cook for yourself. The large bed provided us with a dreamy sleep.

Many open seating areas on the large property.

The charm of the holiday home is defined by the numerous seating areas around the house, whether on the terrace, on the balcony in front of the bedrooms, in the arbor under grape leaves, or at the garden shed. At any time of day and under any angle of sunlight, a cozy spot can be found. The comfort of the box spring bed and the other double bed ensure restful sleep. The well-equipped kitchen allows for culinary experimentation. Supermarkets, even a organic market, and grocery stores can be reached within twenty minutes. With a half to three-quarter hour drive, you can head off in any direction and explore the Piedmont in all its diversity, whether in vineyards, hazelnut forests, the western Ligurian Alps, or on the beaches of Liguria.
