A perfect place for a break.

My desire to be offline for a few days, in a quiet beautiful environment, in the middle of nature, has been fulfilled in the "little house on the hill". Although the holiday home is equipped for several people, I felt very safe and comfortable alone as well.

Due to the unusually cold outside temperatures, my landlord had already heated up the tiled stove before my arrival. So I was welcomed with cozy warmth, cleanliness in every room and cosiness. Despite rainy weather and no car, the immediate surroundings offered me enough opportunities for walking for several hours every day.

For all those who want to slow down and become quieter for a few days to enjoy simplicity, this is an ideal and very beautiful place. I'd love to come back.

A beautiful old rustic farmhouse.
Situated in a secluded location on a slope. With a great view of the Kalkalpen.
Very beautifully and appropriately furnished inside. With a great tiled stove. Clean and tidy! The landlords are very friendly and helpful. And we were even allowed to bring our 2 medium-sized dogs

rustic cosy

We were there for a fortnight, the landlords were really nice, everything clean, lots of nature and a beautiful location. A house where you can feel how simple and simple it was many years ago, when it was not yet a holiday home but actually a home. Everything has been lovingly brought up to date. We felt very comfortable. A small terrace in front of the house with a view of the countryside invites you to linger. The farmer's wife's bread is highly recommended!

Small rustic house with charm

Arrive and be warmly welcomed ! This feeling was conveyed to us by our landlords, the Hornbachner family. Here, where tradition and enthusiasm for nature are at home. Surrounded by the idyllic Hintstein, our very personal favourite place. Stocked with natural jewels as far as the eye can see. We could experience a lot here! What could be more beautiful than these very special moments in nature. Hiking to your heart's content, letting go of everyday life, feeling the soothing silence. Take a deep breath, rediscover the decelerated life.
In the middle of the picturesque mountains lies the small but fine farmhouse, lovingly furnished, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need for a carefree holiday!

The bathroom is a gem of a special kind! But take a look for yourself, it's a little dream ! A loving restoration with a lot of attention to detail! It is a pity that there are people who do not recognise these special features

When the sun invites you to breakfast on the terrace in the morning, you are amazed at the magical view of the mountains!

A very big thank you to our lovely landlords, who actually spoiled us with delicious char filet and were always grateful for tips and suggestions for improvement. We can only recommend this accommodation ! Enjoy the wonderful ambience and the always obliging and cordial landlords!

Einzigartige Hütte

We went on vacation with great joy and were very disappointed. We love rustic charm, but what awaited us was something different. It's very questionable and unhygienic when you can see directly from the kitchen into the bathroom and experience all the sounds and smells from there in the kitchen! In addition, the ad described a bathroom with a tub and shower, but there was only a tub with a shower. Due to physical limitations, I had to wash myself the whole time only at the broken sink. The mirror was also broken. The cabinets were dirty and cluttered. The whole thing was then topped off by a manure pit (about 3m in diameter/uncovered) right next to the house!! After the rain, the smell was almost unbearable. Offering something like this as a holiday accommodation is cheeky and brazen. We had to cut short our vacation after a week, it should have been the best time of the year and it turned into a disaster. The location was wonderful, but everything else never again...

Very very nice landlords and everything really very uncomplicated and very accommodating. We booked spontaneously and everything was excellent. Whether you want to have a cozy beer or two or go hiking, the cottage is perfect for all age groups. Thank you for the nice stay.

Rustic cottage to switch off

Me and my two girls 14 and 16 spontaneously decided to go away for a few days. When we got the confirmation by phone, we immediately got into the car and drove off. We received a very nice welcome, with bright sunshine. It was exactly as we had imagined it. Very clean, everything available, to feel good and to let your soul dangle. The landlord gave us fresh milk and vegetables. The area and the view were simply wonderful. Even if it was only for a short time, we enjoyed the peace and quiet and will return to the extended family. We would like to come back again, but then for longer.

Great cabin vacation

Those who seek tranquility will love this hut. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to this lovingly furnished hut, it was a dream. We rested very well, the bread and milk from the nearby farm of the family were tasty. Many activities on site, also possible with lazy children. Or simply read a book in the sun lounger at the hut and enjoy the view and tranquility.

Family vacation in a cozy cabin

We can only agree with the reviews from July and August 2021! We also had a wonderful three-week vacation here. With restrained tourism, in the midst of great heat, we recommend, in addition to the mountain pool (wonderful view of the limestone Alps), the crystal-clear stream on the hiking trail: in the Valley of Wood towards Reichraming. (Simply drive to the last parking lot.) ) Two rainy days were gratefully used by my family to make themselves comfortable in the cabin, with a fireplace, reading, playing, sleeping, and watching TV. And then back to the mountains! We especially enjoyed the always generous breakfast on the terrace with a clear view of the mountains. The hosts were very accommodating, and if something was missing, it was immediately provided. The owners of the raft and canoe rental in Großraming are also very lovely. A canoe tour is also highly recommended! The list of great opportunities around this charming holiday farm is far from complete. Conclusion: Absolutely recommended, we were able to relax very well! Pure relaxation

We can only recommend this beautiful cottage. Everything you need is there, clean and cozy. In the evening, you can cook and heat with wood on the old wood stove. Here you can relax your soul, go hiking, swim in the clean streams, go canoeing, and there's a climbing rope garden nearby for the kids. Our dog also felt very comfortable. All around are meadows and forests. You can eat well and cheaply nearby. Especially recommended is the Gasthaus Stanger "zur singenden Wirtin". The trout from Berta, our landlady, were also very delicious. Thank you. We will definitely come back again. (Vacation with 2 children, 11 and 15, and our Vizsla)

Great recommendation!

Very nicely furnished house with thick stone walls that also stays pleasantly cool on hot days. Spacious seating options indoors and outdoors. Super close small climbing area (12 minutes walk from the house). Beautiful hikes very close by (e.g. hike to the Ennser Hütte highly recommended). The Enns river is very close and invites you for a swim.

The landlady was very nice and even picked us up from the train station and dropped us off at the train station. She also sells her guests eggs from her own farm (where we even received a small tour from the very friendly family with children) and very delicious homemade bread.

Overall, great and absolutely recommended!

Dreamy beautiful weekend

Lovingly furnished farmhouse invites you to enjoy. The accommodation was super clean, everything available that the heart desires (including Nespresso coffee machine for those who like, otherwise also filter machine). Table stove allows the preparation of delicious food in old tradition and simultaneous heating of bathroom and living room, wood and grill also available. The terrace behind the house offers a beautiful view and also invites you to a glass of wine in the evening, protected by the house wall. Enjoy your morning coffee in front of the house in the warming morning sun. If desired, the hostess offers milk and bread for sale. A car is recommended as the nearest store is a bit too far to walk to. You can start hikes directly from the house or climb worthwhile peaks in the nearby area with a 15-30 minute drive. The hostess is very open-hearted and helpful, and the key handover as well as departure worked perfectly. We can only recommend this accommodation and will definitely come back, both in summer and winter, as you can certainly also go on very beautiful snowshoeing tours here. Always a pleasure!

We felt very comfortable and relaxed in the beautifully renovated farmhouse for two weeks. The most important amenities are available (small tip: a dish drying rack would be nice). Cozy farmhouse to unwind and relax.

We were looking for a relaxing holiday spot and found it 100%. The holiday house is beautifully situated on a slope, with a great view of the surrounding mountains from the terrace. In the evenings, we could watch deer in the field very close to the house. Inside the holiday house, everything is available for a relaxing holiday, including a kitchen with a fridge, oven, stove, microwave, and coffee machine. In the vicinity, there is plenty of nature to admire and explore. Since we couldn't possibly discover everything on this vacation, we would love to come back. Once again, a very warm greeting to the landlords; we felt very comfortable.

Children and dogs can romp around safely on the spacious meadows around the house.

Very nice, relaxing vacation

The holiday home is located a bit off the beaten path, just right if you want to escape and relax from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The cottage has a lot of charm and is lovingly, albeit simply furnished. But it has everything you need to feel comfortable.

For an autumn vacation, keep in mind that the cottage does not have central heating, but is heated by the fireplace. This gives the whole place a very romantic atmosphere. The self-baked bread by the landlady from the nearby farm is highly recommended. We would love to come back! The region is great for hiking, and the former farmhouse is a beautiful starting point.

Beautiful vacation with child and dog.

Very nicely restored old farmhouse with a cozy atmosphere. If you are looking for something special but not completely isolated, this is the right place for you. The old farmhouse is situated on a south-facing slope in a secluded location. It is about a 5-minute walk (with a small child) to the main farm where you can find everything a farm has to offer: cowshed, hayloft, chickens, 2 pigs, and very kind and friendly hosts who provide fresh eggs, milk, homemade bread, and vegetables. If you want to have the opportunity to pitch in, you are welcome to do so, and our daughter was allowed to help on the milking parlor, an experience she still talks about today. The house is equipped with everyday items. In addition to a ceramic hob, you have the option to cook on a wood stove here. In front of the house, there is a terrace with a rustic table and 2 benches. Here you can enjoy your coffee in the morning and start the barbecue in the evening. If you should miss something, the hosts are always available and ready to help. It was a wonderful vacation for us (4 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 dog), and we all rested very well. We will definitely come back!

We were completely satisfied.

We were received and accompanied extremely nicely and friendly. We enjoyed fresh eggs, bread, and milk. From the landlord's house, we expected a barn, but a very quaint 200-year-old house with many old details inside and out awaited us. Nevertheless, everything inside was as modern as advertised, and all dishes and kitchen utensils were sufficiently available. The freezer compartment was missing, but it was manageable due to the nearby shopping option. The highlight was the Miele washing machine in the former stable, which we didn't find at first. In the countryside, one must expect small animals and sometimes the smell of the land; this was not a problem for us. There are fly screens everywhere, and everything was impeccably clean when we arrived. We found the price reasonable and appreciated the flexibility of not having to arrive and depart on a Saturday. We have warmly recommended the house to our friends if they are truly seeking peace and relaxation. This feeling occurred for us on the 1st day.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Für Wanderer ideal, liegt schon ca. 500 m hoch, Wanderungen bis 1400 m möglich. Liegt abseits und ruhig mit schönem Ausblick. (Vermieter ist nicht so nah, wie man aus dem Foto schließen könnte.)

free time activities: Auch für Jugendliche Möglichkeiten: Floßfahrt, Fahrradausleihe, Freibad. Sicher noch mehr, haben wir aber nicht gebraucht. In der Touristinfo in Speyer, wo wir nach Angeboten für Jugendliche fragten (wir meinten eigentlich Stadtführungen), wurden wir sogar als erstes nach Großraming verwiesen (wo wir ja grad herkamen).

shopping facilities: wie angegeben in ca. 4km Entfernung Lebensmittelmarkt, Sportgeschäft u.ä. In ca 7 km Entfernung Spar und auch speziellere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie Optiker u.ä.
