Location and surroundings of object

The island of Rab is well connected to the mainland by roads and ferry lines. The southern part of the island is connected by Misnjak - Jablanac ferry line. It will take about 15 minutes to get to the island. Northern part of the island is connented to the Krk island by Lopar - Baska ferry line. You can also get to Rab from Rijeka, Zadar, Sibenik, Split or Dubrovnik by taking one of 'Jadrolinija' liners. They sail few times a week all the year round. In case You decide to travel by bus, there is a bus line from Rijeka which also drives all the year round, and also from Zagreb only in summer season. The house of family Travas is situated at the beginnig of Barbat village, about 3 minutes of driving from Misnjak ferry dock. It is about 100 m away from sea and about 4 km from the city of Rab. Rab Island, near the center of the Kvarner island group off north-western Croatia, is one of the most enticing in the Adriatic. The north-eastern side of the island is barren and rocky, while the south-western side is green with pine forests.

Medieval Rab town, one of the prettiest in the region, is built on a narrow peninsula which encloses a sheltered harbor - stone buildings climb from the harbor to a cliff overlooking the sea.
