For families, a crib and a high chair are available. Bed linen is included, and the washing machine provides additional comfort—even for longer stays.

Our small forest cottage is located in the quiet, southern Eichsfeld – one of the most charming landscapes in Thuringia, nestled between wooded hills. Even Theodor Storm raved in 1856 about the “enchanting beauty” of this spot of earth. The Eichsfeld region forms the link between the Harz and Thuringian Forest and extends over around 1,540 km² at the transition from Lower Saxony to Thuringia and Hesse. Dreamy villages, numerous castles, churches, and well-preserved town centers offer insights into the rich history of the region.
The cottage is conveniently located between the communities of Effelder (2.5 km) and Großbartloff (3.0 km) and belongs to the municipality of Effelder. Here you will find exactly the peace and relaxation that a restful holiday needs – far from hustle and noise, right in the middle of nature. Active in nature:
Hiking enthusiasts can look forward to an extensive, well-marked network of hiking trails; around Großbartloff, several Nordic walking routes are also available. A special experience is a ride on the adventure draisine from Lengenfeld unterm Stein: On one of the most beautiful railway routes in Germany, you cross the 244 m long and 23 m high Lengenfeld Viaduct – a climate-friendly leisure activity for the whole family through the romantic valleys of Frieda and Lutter.

Worth seeing are, among others, the border museum "Schifflersgrund", the three-aisled hall church "St. Alban" in Effelder – also known as Eichsfeld Cathedral – as well as the impressive railway viaduct in Lengenfeld unterm Stein.
