4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

The reason that for saying that the experience has been bad is that neither on the Tuesday nor yesterday we had any hot water at the toilet of the room. That is, not from the shower nor from the tap. Since I was driving almost 11 hours on the Monday I really looked forward to take a long hot shower on the Tuesday but it wasn’t possible since the water was ice cold. Yesterday the situation was the same. I don’t require that much from a hotel room but one thing that I find compulsory is to have hot water from the shower. Hence I’m very disappointed, especially since the cost for the room was rather high. On top of this the tub is missing a glass door which makes the water from the shower (only a problem this morning) is flooding on the floor of the bathroom, which isn’t very nice.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Bed was solid for restful sleep and check-in was smooth with parking close by. Simple but reliable setup overall with a clean bathroom to start the day right.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Der Parkettboden und das sanfte Licht machten die Inneneinrichtung behaglich.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Inside the room, flat-screen TV and heating kept things warm during the night. Using the sauna one afternoon felt really good after walking near Schwielowsee Lake.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Would book again without hesitation if passing through this area solo. Location near Potsdam’s sights made getting around easy even on my own. Enjoyed peaceful walks by the private beach before catching public transport back to Berlin.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

During my weekend getaway alone, the room had all essentials like bathrobes and wifi. The private beach area was perfect for calm walks after exploring the city.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-located. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant atmosphere and a nice stay. I would gladly recommend the hotel and come back anytime. Best regards, Igor Movradin

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Beautiful room, very good breakfast, only the non-functional phone made noises and had to be banished from the room, should be disposed of. Unfortunately, no Wi-Fi for our tablets to watch movies on the first evening.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Despite confirmed booking and accommodation voucher, no booking could be found on-site. After a brief check by the staff, I was told to take care of my booking myself with Belvilla. I was not satisfied with that, and then I was checked in again. After a short wait, I received a room in the attic. 4th floor and the elevator was still out of order. I chose the hotel because of the indoor and outdoor pool. Both were closed. There was a note, closed today due to technical work. This had been hanging for several days. It's a shame for this beautiful facility, there is so much potential. Overall, we made the time enjoyable.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Basically a nice, large facility in a very beautiful area. The hotel has aged... Many small deficiencies in the furnishings and service are noticeable. No information in the room. The tablet does not work, hooks are partially defective, etc. The elevator is out of order. The library is outdated. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a pleasant stay for us in a 3*** instead of a 4**** hotel.

The room was well equipped. We had booked half board on site for one day. Unfortunately, the offered dinner did not match the food at other Sunday Resorts (e.g., Marina Wolfsbruch) where we were 14 days prior. The processes and technical equipment for breakfast need to be optimized compared to Marina Wolfsbruch. The location of the resort is very nice; due to the size of the grounds, playing on the meadows is great. Conclusion: the resort has opportunities for improvements, the potential is there.

Breaking News 09.07.2026, 12:18 PM The district of Potsdam-Mittelmark has closed the kitchen of the Schwielowsee resort. The reason is significant deficiencies in cooling temperatures as well as in cleanliness and hygiene. Hotel guests now have to eat in a nearby restaurant.

4,2 4.2 4.2 4.2 4.2 4.2

No restaurant, breakfast outside. No coffee cappuccino extra paid. No elevator! Everything must be carried. Booking process a catastrophe. No rental boats!! No precise club benefits anymore!! Was a guest at this resort about 30 times, very disappointed with the condition!!

4,2 4.2 4.2 4.2 4.2 4.2

We had booked a room with air conditioning on one of the warmest days of the year. Only at the hotel were we informed that it unfortunately had not been working throughout the hotel for some time. I then sweated myself to sleep; around 2 it cooled down a bit so I could ventilate. Unfortunately, sleep was also out of the question, as we had a room at the back and the truck traffic made it impossible to sleep. Actually a nice hotel, just unfortunately with some maintenance backlog. Breakfast super and the staff mostly nice... not everyone!

4,2 4.2 4.2 4.2 4.2 4.2

We were only allowed to check in half an hour later because the room was not ready yet. Breakfast took place, a seven-minute walk away, in an Italian restaurant. A stranger suddenly appeared in the room with a key card. The steam sauna was not working. And, and, and! I will never go to this hotel again. It was so nice here at the beginning. That's how it is when hotels get new names.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

The staff was warm and friendly. The hotel itself is now quite crumbling. Both mattresses in the double standard room were worn out, and sleep was out of the question. Dog droppings on the patch of grass at the lake access. Also cigarette butts from smokers. The steam sauna was already broken last year and still is. The outdoor shower could not be turned off after use, and the water kept running. No contact person in the spa area. Some elevators were also out of order. The breakfast buffet divides opinions; it wasn't to my taste. I was there for conference reasons. Next year, I will rent accommodation in the neighborhood. I cannot recommend the Sunday Schwielowsee for overnight stays.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Very well located and well-maintained resort. Great facility. Unfortunately, the reception was very curt, not very informative. This was probably due to one staff member being trained and another primarily dealing with a guest issue that was actually scheduled for later. Additionally, the elevator was out of order (can happen) and the luggage had to be carried up to a room on the 3rd floor through the stairwell. Presumably, there would have been another service elevator here. Room (large and clean) and the breakfast were excellent.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Positive: The location of the hotel at Schwielowsee is beautiful. The facility is also spacious and well-maintained. The room (we have a standard double) is small, but totally fine. Negative: Despite the heat, the air conditioning does not work, and upon inquiry at the reception, we were informed that this affects all rooms on the 3rd floor and has been known for weeks. This is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. The elevator is also out of order, not just recently.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, good location. Unfortunately, I had some bad luck with the timing of my stay: indoor and outdoor pool closed (due to defect), elevator out of order, dripping faucet, various renovation works in the building. I would have liked to know this before booking; I probably wouldn't have come then. Renovation seems necessary to me because the once very beautiful overall ensemble is in need of repair here and there and appears somewhat neglected. The barrel sauna in the garden, which apparently burned, should be completely cordoned off or removed. The picture is simply not nice. In my opinion, the overall casting is lacking, and in several places, it is evident that there were apparently at least three owners. Precision, Sunday, Bellvilla. It would look better if that were no longer recognizable. Booking confirmation and other documents looked somehow strange; luckily, I had already read about this in a review and therefore was not surprised anymore. Instead of the booked double room, there was repeatedly something about a booked holiday home. I wish the hotel and especially the very friendly team all the best, perseverance, and better times!

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Unfortunately, our stay this time was a big disappointment. The check-in was anything but professional. In front of us, two female employees discussed whether we could check into our room or not. Such internal discussions should not take place in front of guests and left a directly unpleasant first impression. The spa area was particularly disappointing. During our entire stay, there was not a single service staff member to be found there. There was thus neither the possibility to order drinks nor food – the area seemed practically abandoned. Additionally, there were no large towels available, and we had to resort to small towels, which is absolutely insufficient for a wellness area. Unfortunately, the breakfast could not convince either. It was very ordinary and left many wishes unfulfilled overall. For a hotel of this category, we would have expected significantly more quality and variety. The entire house also had an unkempt impression. Almost all corridors had carts with dirty laundry or it was lying around openly. It seemed as if the entire hotel was being cleaned at the same time, which significantly affected the atmosphere. Overall, the stay was unfortunately rather difficult. The hotel still has a lot of potential from our perspective – that is why it is all the more regrettable to see how it is currently being handled. We used to always enjoy coming here. After this experience, however, we will think carefully about whether we will come back again in the future.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

One could see from both the inside and outside of the hotel that it has aged and needs an upgrade. The mattress was sagging, the air conditioning was defective (very loud when in operation), the bathtub's glass was leaking, causing water to flow into the bathroom while showering. The otherwise elegantly looking interior (e.g., golden wall lamps) was partially replaced by Ikea (e.g., table lamp). The windows could not be fully opened. The title of Resort no longer does the house justice.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Very nice hotel in a great location. Very clean and great breakfast. Rooms are very nice. Beds very good. It was a great vacation. However, the data on the order confirmation and on the invoices should definitely be redesigned. There is no indication of the hotel. When booking, I initially thought I had fallen for a fake.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Room super, it was really a shame that the pool was not usable. But the fact that the elevator was not working and no assistance was offered to the guests before me is unacceptable. I carried a suitcase up to the second floor and continued myself with a backpack, bag, small bag to the 4th floor.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Clean and well-maintained, friendly staff, bright spacious rooms, access to the lake, extensive grounds, pool and wellness area good (although steam bath out of order), rich breakfast buffet. All in all, a very nice and recommendable holiday resort directly by the lake.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

The cleanliness of the rooms was okay. The service was also okay. The breakfast was very extensive and delicious. The parking costs 12.50 euros per day. In my personal opinion, this is a bit much. In summary, the stay was okay.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

Unfortunately, the dinner (buffet) was not of a quality worthy of a 4-star establishment. The price of 40 euros per person, however, certainly was. The selection was limited, the warm food was at most lukewarm and barely seasoned in taste. Chocolate pudding was advertised as mousse. You can certainly do much better. The staff in the restaurant were mostly very friendly and accommodating, but there were also encounters where one felt apologetic for wanting to eat here and thus bothering them. It's a shame because the house and the location are actually very nice.

We wanted to celebrate my birthday as a family. Arrival was at 11 a.m. with the idea of having something nice for lunch and then going to the pool. We approached the lady at the reception and simply said that we had a reservation. It was immediately made clear that check-in was at 3 p.m., while we just wanted to register and ask if we could drop off our luggage. After that, we continued to ask, but there was no friendly communication from the lady at all... she was just annoyed. I asked if we could have lunch at the hotel, her answer: No. Instead of talking to us, telling us that the kitchen/restaurant is closed for technical reasons, or whatever... there are certainly enough ways to offer nice alternatives, and one can expect that... well, after further questioning, we were sent into the city to eat. After that, we were at the pool, the only thing that was really nice. Because the playground is more or less broken and the things at the kids' club were also no longer usable... At check-in. This time with a gentleman. He explained to us that we cannot use the elevator because it is broken, and we cannot have dinner or breakfast due to the closed kitchen/restaurant. What would any good hotel manager do in such situations? Right, offer a little something like, for example, a cocktail on the house. This provides some reassurance and perhaps even good mood again. But no, the reception staff only informed us that we have to go 2 minutes away to a restaurant for breakfast. His statement: there is nothing more to say. Oh yes, you have to go up the stairs... Okay... then we went up the stairs... luckily we didn't need a stroller anymore. Upon arriving on the floor, we found piles of dirty laundry in front of every room... this is simply unacceptable. There are laundry carts… apparently not in this hotel… next: in the cleaning area, there are different colors of rags, for example, red is 90% for the toilet… I just hope not in this hotel, because the rag was lying on a radiator the whole time and was still there the next morning…. Unfortunately, it keeps going…. The hotel room was okay, but the bathroom trash was not emptied. Luckily, there was only a cotton swab in it… the next thing that left me speechless. On the way to dinner, we passed by the bar, where the staff was really sitting in uniform during working hours in the guest area, smoking and drinking. Breaks are important and right, but not like this... Very unfortunate... there is so much potential and beauty in this hotel...

One should know that no continuous kitchen, hotel is designed for half-board guests. A 4-star hotel should have continuous kitchen. Only buffet at half-board price possible. Otherwise fine and quite nice.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

The sauna is quite compact. In the Finnish sauna, about 8-10 people can fit, which can get a bit tight when fully occupied. Unfortunately, the bio sauna was out of order and cool. Given the size of the hotel, there could be more sauna options, even if the bio sauna were functional. During the high season in winter, when many guests come for wellness, a larger sauna area would be desirable. The relaxation area is directly in the swimming pool, which is a bit restless. Although there is a real relaxation area, only 10 loungers are available there. Overall, the ambiance is pleasant, but with the number of guests, the sauna area could be designed a bit more generously, especially on weekends in the cold season. It is worth noting that there are special times for adults only in the swimming pool/sauna area, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. Our room was a bit cool upon arrival, but the staff reacted immediately and offered us another room.

4,3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3 4.3

At breakfast, nothing was missing. The dinner is overpriced at 40 euros per person for the offering. The booked standard room was completely sufficient and acceptable for the 5 nights. We enjoyed our stay, especially the beautiful outdoor pool with loungers and towels. The facility made a well-kept impression on us. Swimming in the lake at the hotel's small beach was out of the question for us for various reasons. The area is beautiful.

It's unfortunate that such a fantastic hotel has such a challenging booking and customer service process, I've tried numerous times to reach out via phone and email to make a reservation, only to be met with silence or, at times, a rather dismissive reply, Thankfully, I was able to secure a booking through an online platform, or I might have missed out on this lovely place, I truly don't understand why they make it so difficult to spend my money with them, They really should consider improving this aspect, as they could be missing out on many potential guests, This hotel is one of our favorites, and we've stayed here three times already, The staff is wonderful, the service is top-notch," and the location and amenities are just right, I'm looking forward to my next visit!"

In the bedroom, a curtain in front of the round window would have been missing, as it became quite bright at sunrise. The plug in the sink was not present, which was somewhat uncomfortable. The pool is indeed a bit small, but if you choose the right times, such as the child-free hours, it is perfectly sufficient for swimming a few laps. My room request was fulfilled 100%, which made me very happy. The hotel looks exactly like in the pictures, but in reality, the special atmosphere of the decor is simply overwhelming. The breakfast was delicious, especially the warm, healthy bread. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite, and always with a smile! The two cozy saunas and the steam bath were never overcrowded. Upon our arrival, we had the pleasure of discovering a large spider in the room – for the children, this was a real attraction! We informed the reception and someone immediately came to take the little animal outside, as we couldn't reach it ourselves due to the high ceiling. Additionally, there was a small black deposit behind the sink, which was only photographed instead of being removed. A suggestion would be to also provide shower gel at the bathtub. Nevertheless, this is complaining at a high level. Our second stay was significantly more pleasant than the first. We felt very comfortable; the room was clean and the large bathtub was simply fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The food was delicious and there was something for every taste. Our stay at the hotel was simply fantastic! The only thing my wife complained about was the water temperature in the pool, which was a bit too cool for her. Otherwise, we spent two nights with half board and were completely satisfied. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable; you feel at home right away. Breakfast and dinner were served in the form of a buffet and offered a huge selection of delicious dishes – everything fresh and very tasty. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the outdoor facilities due to the cold weather, but that did not diminish our overall positive impression. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and helpful staff, who made our stay even more pleasant. We recommend this hotel without reservation! The parking lot was somewhat expensive, but the wellness and sauna area was really pleasant. It would have been nice if the outdoor pool had been open, as it would have perfectly complemented the sauna experience. The location of the hotel is excellent!
