Welcome to Villa Atlas – your retreat at Lake Balaton!
Enjoy an unforgettable stay at one of the most beautiful places on Lake Balaton. Here, you willingly set your alarm clock to experience the sunrise with panoramic and lake views – from every corner of the house or from the garden. Afterwards, you can plan your day: walk on the beach (20 minutes on foot), hikes (Festetics lookout tower, cross, old gravel pit – each 15–20 minutes on foot) or simply relaxing hours with BBQ, poker, or in the jacuzzi.
Our house offers plenty of space for up to 12 people, ideal for large families or groups of friends, without sacrificing privacy. It has seven separate bedrooms, three fully equipped bathrooms, six air conditioners for cooling and heating, a large kitchen and a small additional kitchen with everything you need for cooking – from stove, oven, and dishwasher to coffee machines, blenders, contact grill, toaster, and even a donut maker. For connoisseurs, there are glasses for wine, beer, and pálinka as well as cocktail accessories, along with various types of tea and coffee options. In the living room, you can make yourself comfortable on the sofa, enjoy movies or series on the 65-inch 4K Smart TV (Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu), or play on the Xbox Series X (2 controllers, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with up to 500 games). For music and creative breaks, a Yamaha E-piano, an acoustic guitar, and a portable Bluetooth speaker are available. A cozy reading area with books in German, English, and Hungarian invites you to relax. Additionally, there are board games, puzzles, and a poker set. For outdoor activities, you will find the Great Meadow (Nagymező) 15 minutes away on foot. Feel free to take our tennis and badminton equipment and picnic baskets with you! :)
The garden impresses with a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Balaton. Here you will find a covered terrace with a dining table, an outdoor deck with a wooden sunshade, as well as a jacuzzi for relaxing hours. BBQ, bogrács kettle, firewood, and fruit trees with figs, apples, sweet cherries, and grapes are always just a few meters away. Parking spaces (inside) for up to three cars are available.
We personally welcome our guests – usually I, Dennis, take care of the greeting, hand over the keys, and show the house. For stays of seven nights or more, a free change of bed linen and towels is possible. During your stay, a contact person is available around the clock for questions or emergencies.
Please understand that no pets (except assistance dogs) are allowed due to possible allergies, and smoking is not permitted in the house. We ask you to be considerate of the neighbors, so please do not play loud music outside between 9 pm and 7 am. The jacuzzi may only be used after a short shower. Bachelor parties or similar celebrations are not permitted. The tourism tax is 750 HUF per person per night and is to be paid on site in cash or by card.

The holiday villa is located in Gyenesdiás, a quiet place on Lake Balaton (Plattensee), just a few minutes from Keszthely (the capital of Balaton) and the thermal bath Hévíz. The beach is about 20 minutes away on foot, as is the local market with restaurants, concerts, and small events. Hiking trails lead in 15-20 minutes to viewpoints such as the Festetics Tower, Old Gravel Pit (Kőbánya), or Cross (Fénykereszt) with breathtaking views. By car or on foot, you can reach numerous leisure activities such as the zoo, cinema, bowling, or billiards. The nearby wine regions also invite you to enjoyable tastings – ideal for a relaxing and varied holiday at Lake Balaton.

Born and raised in Munich with Hungarian parents, I made the decision a few years ago to move to my second homeland – a decision I have not regretted to this day! Budapest was practically my second home in the past, but even then, living at Lake Balaton was a wish of mine – once a dream, now reality. I would like to share this experience with the world and open our home to the outside world so that others can also enjoy Lake Balaton. :)
