Hello and a warm welcome to Deichsch(l)af – your stylishly furnished holiday apartment in Neuendorf near Elmshorn, Schleswig-Holstein. In the midst of the wide Elbe marshes, near the Lower Elbe, a retreat awaits you to arrive, breathe deeply, and feel at ease. The apartment is located in a lovingly restored thatched-roof farmhouse ensemble from 1724, which is now inhabited by a family with children – a lively place with heart that at the same time offers plenty of space for peace and relaxation.

The approximately 85 m² holiday apartment is situated in a former outbuilding of the farm, which previously served, among other things, as a stable, workshop, and small shop. The apartment is best suited for two people, but offers sleeping accommodations for up to four if needed.
An open living/dining area with a fully equipped kitchen, smart TV, and cozy sofa bed invites you to linger. A separate bedroom with double bed, two terraces with views of greenery, as well as a modern shower bathroom ensure relaxing days—both indoors and outdoors.
Linens for bed, bath, and kitchen are provided. Since our family also lives on the farm, you benefit from having a personal contact person directly on site. The property is spacious, but at times it can be a bit livelier due to our family life – whether playing in the garden or during everyday farm activities.

The farm is quietly yet centrally located – the Elbe marsh is only a few minutes’ walk away and lies directly behind the sleeping dike, Hamburg can be reached in about 45 minutes by car. The region is ideal for walks, bike tours, birdwatching, and excursions – e.g. to Glückstadt, along the Elbe cycle path, or even to the North Sea or Baltic Sea coast.
Good shopping opportunities can be found in nearby Elmshorn or in Glückstadt. We are also surrounded by numerous farm shops offering regional and seasonal products such as fruit, vegetables, eggs, and meat.

We are a family of six with four children aged 3 to 14. Things can be lively with us at times – at the same time, we place great value on a friendly, open, and respectful way of interacting.
