The spacious living room invites you to sociable evenings with a comfortable couch and TV, while the modern kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, and microwave for cooking together. A cozy bedroom, together with fresh bed linen, ensures restful sleep. A crib and a high chair are available for families.
The bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink, toilet, washing machine, hairdryer, and iron. After an active day in nature – bicycles are available to explore the green surroundings – you can relax in the in-house sauna. The spacious garden with furnished terrace and covered seating area offers space for relaxing hours outdoors. You can conveniently park your car directly at the house.

Fun search. . . 20 years ago, as a young family living near Haarlem, we were looking for a place where we could go outside without limits, without too many distractions. A beautiful area, peace, space, a house with 3 bedrooms and a wood stove were our requirements. After a fun search in which we visited many parts of the Netherlands, we finally found a special place in the heart of Drenthe, on the edge of Boswachterij Ruinen. In the middle of the nature reserves the Dwingelderveld and National Park Weerribben-Wieden, it was love at first sight. First we enjoyed it here with our family, later we opened our doors to others, so they too could experience what it is like to completely unwind in the middle of nature. The nature experience grew further. . . What started with one cottage in Drenthe, grew into a selection of nature cottages in the most beautiful green regions of the Netherlands and Germany. In addition to Drenthe, we now also rent out 2 charming cottages in the Eifel and a lovely apartment in Sauerland. Two areas that have enchanted us just as much with their vast forests, hilly landscapes, and endless opportunities for hiking, cycling, and touring. And because it’s just as nice here, we gave them the fitting names: Leuk Stekje and Leuk Appartementje ? Feeling at home right away comes first Our guests often call the cottages their ‘home in nature’, and that is exactly what we want to offer. A place where you feel welcome, where you wake up in the morning to singing birds and the scent of the forest. The many returning guests, the nice messages, texts, emails, the warm words in our guestbook and the often praising reviews online give us the confidence that we have created something special. We are very happy about that!
