A holiday home for nature lovers, hikers and cyclists and those interested in culture!
Your holiday retreat for 2- 6 people and a baby cot. (120sqm living space), but 2 people are also very welcome!
The holiday home is located on the outskirts of Beuren-Prosterath. The small village lies directly on the forest, above the romantic valley of the 'Kleine Dhron'.
On the 3600 sqm property, completely fenced in with park-like green areas, garden pond with fish and stream, you breathe the best air in Germany (according to the Federal Environmental Agency). Fenced-in property with a far-reaching view of the Erbeskopf, the highest elevation in Rhineland-Palatinate. Ideal also for the dog, because around the pavilion completely fenced, the dog can run and romp without a leash. However, he should not be able to jump over a 1m high fence.
The play and sunbathing lawn with the large trampoline, pirate sandpit and swing, baby slide and the "children's garden house" are at your disposal. In the children's garden house there is a kettcar, a tricycle, bobbycar, a tractor with trailer. Volleyball basket etc.
The ground-level holiday flat, with a separate entrance, is therefore ideal for elderly and slightly disabled people, but also suitable for children. In front of the holiday home are 2 furnished terraces and barbecue facilities.
The large eat-in kitchen is equipped with everything the hobby cook needs. 2 spacious bedrooms and 1 large bed-sit room with 3 beds and satellite TV, 1 baby bed, 1 living room with football table and satellite TV radio/cassette recorder, a second upholstered suite, spacious shower room with 1 WC, coin-operated washing machine and dryer. A rotary clothes dryer outside.
In the flat there are also board games for young and old when it is uncomfortable outside. There are also some toys for boys and girls.
On arrival you will find freshly made beds. Enough towels and tea towels are ready, so you can start your holiday immediately.

Enough brochures for your activities are ready for you. We are always available for you if you have any questions.
A small flock of chickens and ducks runs behind our house. They are happy to receive kitchen scraps from our little guests. Our Boer goat and the 5 sheep also like to be stroked. On site you can still see cows/cattle, horses and fallow deer.
In Beuren, 1 km away, you will find a grocery shop and bakery, doctor and pharmacy. Supermarkets in Hermeskeil (12 km).

The dream hiking loop 'Rockenburger Urwaldpfad' (Rockenburg primeval forest trail) is directly in the village. The varied route of 11.5 km, along the Krennerichbach stream, through the Rockenburg primeval forest area and the romantic valley of the kl. Dhron, with its bizarre rocks. Enjoy the all-round view of the beautiful high forest landscape at the top. This is just one of many hiking dream loops. In Reinsfeld (6 km away) you can already hike the premium hiking trail 'Saar-Hunsrück-Steig'. We will be happy to help you plan your holiday activities. In the holiday flat you will also find sufficient brochures. e. g. For example, swimming fun under the open sky, or in the indoor swimming pool. Sauna and adventure evenings. For the children, Reinsfeld skat facility. Experience Thalfang on horseback or barefoot through nature (Schillingen leisure centre). The summer toboggan run is a special treat. Taking a steam locomotive through the Hochwald is great fun. A visit to the hiking and game park is worthwhile. You can also visit the many museums and monuments. Popular events and folk festivals await you. The Hochwald also has a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights. Mushroom and wild herb excursions followed by feasting and wine tasting and vintners' festivals on the Moselle, are very popular.

For holiday guests with small children, an occupancy of 1-4 adults and 1-2 small children is possible, as we have 6 beds, but only 1 shower room with 1 WC is available. Plenty of space in a great location, very nice host.
The loving description of the vacation apartment motivated us to book a week of vacation here. One can tell that the landlady, Mrs. Ruthig, is passionate about it and cares about the well-being of the guests. Thus, we felt welcome from the very first moment. The apartment has everything one needs, the kitchen is well-equipped, and everything was very clean. The beautiful large garden offers play opportunities for children of all ages (playhouse, sandbox, swing, trampoline, basketball hoop, . . .), and the dogs can romp in the fenced area. The location is a dream for those seeking peace, very rural and quiet with great views. We enjoy hiking and could set off directly from the vacation apartment, as the "Rockenberger Urwaldpfad" practically passes right by the front door. After a short drive, you reach many other great hiking trails, which are all excellently marked and rightly referred to as "unmissable." The information material provided in the vacation apartment or the landlord herself, who is available to help, assists in planning. As a balance to hiking, a visit to Trier or Saarburg, an excursion to Erbeskopf with a summer toboggan run, or to one of the nearby swimming pools is recommended. We had a great week, are really impressed with the Hunsrück, and will gladly book with Ms. Ruthig again if we come to this area once more. We wholeheartedly recommend this apartment.

A great landlord & wonderfully quiet location
The holiday apartment is on the ground floor, very spacious, nicely furnished, quietly located, and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is large and cozy, and there is a parking space directly in front of the house. (Shopping opportunities about 7 or 12 km away)
We were guests there with our pug and found the fenced area for dogs absolutely wonderful.
As a starting point for excursions, the location is perfect for cyclists as well as hikers. Celts and Romans have left numerous testimonies and traces. Trier and the Moselle are not far. We should have brought much more time.
When we visit the area again, we definitely want to return to this incredibly nice and friendly hostess. Once again, heartfelt thanks for the fresh eggs from your own chickens, dear Mrs. Ruthig.

Very nice, cosy holiday flat
Dear Ruthig family,
we spent a really nice, relaxing holiday week in your flat. We didn't want for anything and the flat is also beautifully situated for our two four-legged friends. They could run around in the garden and on the surrounding meadows. We felt very welcome and comfortable right from the start. This was definitely not the only time we booked your holiday flat. wonderful holidays
This was the third time we stayed in this flat and we liked it very much. The equipment of the flat is top and everything is very clean. There is everything you could wish for on holiday. The price-performance ratio is very good.
We felt very welcome at all times.
We also gladly accepted the tips and advice from Fam. Ruthig, which were also very helpful. The huge garden is beautifully laid out and has a fantastic view of the Hunsrück heights. In the evening you can see the lights of the surrounding villages and listen to the crickets, which we enjoyed very much after the long hikes. Through the garden pond and stream you can hear wonderful birdsong.
We spent 2 weeks here and there is still much to discover.
A big thank you to the Ruhtig family for a great holiday.
We will definitely be back!

In the spacious flat of 120 sqm, up to 1-4 adults and 1-3 small children can enjoy a dream holiday. Two holiday guests are also very welcome. While my holiday guests enjoy their holiday, I work in the garden to make it even more beautiful. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel belongs to the house. Why choose accommodation in Hunsrück-Nahe In this house, with 3600 square metres of green space, you are very close to nature and I and my guests always find that wonderful. The small village, very idyllically situated by the forest, is ideal for all nature lovers, hikers and cyclists. What makes this accommodation unique. Ideal for visiting the Saar, Moselle and Nahe, or for travelling to Trier, Idar-Oberstein and Bernkastel, simply centrally located.
