Once arriving at the Orange Bloom Homestead you will immediately feel the serenity of the lush garden and the surrounding nature of the foothills of the Arrábida national park. This area is renowned for its wineries that are accessible within a short drive.
The cottage is set within a walled property consisting of the main house and the cottage in a 5000m2 plot. Within the cottage you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed linen are of 100% cotton and the pillows and duvet of goose down, ensuring your best rest possible.

The cottage,
Is adjacente to the main house which has its own front garden and terrace with table and chairs for dining Al fresco! The guests have access to our pool area which is an ample space, with loungers, sun beds and day beds with various covered areas to get out of the sun.
Walking up to the cottage you will see there is a sun terrace with the outside table and chairs shaded by a bougainvillea. There is a bench seat and additional table under which you will find a shoe box to store your outdoor shoes before entering the cottage’s shoe free zone :)
Inside the cottage which is a self contained unit, you have a lounge area with 43 inch smart TV in front of a large comfortable sofa with various scatter cushions. It is decorated in an easy comfortable way so that you feel relaxed, with rugs on the floor and paintings on the walls. There is an electrical heater and a wood burner that keeps the house adequately warm for you to be nice and cosy on those chilly nights. There is also a basket with blankets if needed to wrap yourselves up!
The bedroom has a king (160x 200) size bed which is made up with 100% cotton/linen sheets. The duvet and pillow are of white goose-down which are superb for a comfortable warm nights sleep on those chillier nights. The bedroom is fitted out with semi blackout curtains for those that like to sleep in dark room. To keep the room comfortable, there is also an electrical heater to keep it warm and fans and air conditioning if you should need to cool down. There is a chest of drawers and a closet to put away all your cloths either folded or hanging as you wish. There is a desk and desk chair overlooking the garden for those that may need to do some work. Towels that are provided for the use inside the cottage and separate pool towels for use by the pool that we ask you not be removed from the property.
The kitchenette area is fully functional with a coffee maker and grinder, milk frother, juicer, toaster, kettle, microwave with cooking options, 2 induction hobs and fridge with small ice compartment. All the utensils that one needs and more, pots and pans non stick frying pans, knives & forks, plates, cups, wine glasses, water glasses, wooden spoons, sharp kitchen knives, spatulas, cheese grater, stick blender, corkscrew, chopping boards and table mats etc etc.
There are dining table and chairs. Including a child’s high chair and a cot.
SECURITY
For your security there is a fire extinguisher, fire blanket and smoke detector and first aid kit at hand. *NOTE There are no gas appliances on the property so the need for a Carbon Monoxide alarm is therefore not necessary.
The fully tiled showeroom has a tiled 90x90 shower with thermostatically controlled mixer taps. within a traditionally tiled shower base and a marble toped vanity unit with basin and adjacent WC. It has a heated towel warmer to keep your towels dry and cosy for the next use. Behind the door there is a clothes rack to hang any wet clothes out in the sun.
Note* Areas of access to the cottage guests is limited to the area in front of the guesthouse and the pool.

Your home from home in Azeitão with garden and pool, near beaches and nature park. We are located a short drive from the charming Azeitão where there are cafes, shops and restaurants where the locals enjoy the local fare! There are also Padel courts and municipal swimming pool. We have various dive centres for those who would like to take their Padi diving courses in the pristine waters around our coast. There are also several riding schools for those with an equestrian flare.
We are surrounded by beautiful beaches with their crystalline waters where you can rent a kayak, or go paragliding!

We are 35 minutes from Lisbon so a quick drive to get the buzz of the wonderful Portuguese capital where there are an abundance of interesting sights and all within an easy walk. We have a train station nearby should you not want to drive into town but an Uber each way will only set you back less than €25
We are 15 minutes from the main town of Setúbal which is a local fishing town where we have the largest wet market in the country. With an old town full of typical restaurants with tables on the pavements and small squares enticing our tastebuds with the aromas of freshly grilled fish.
We are the gateway to the Alentejo as we are a short distance to the motorway for your discoveries south to the towns of Évora and Estremoz or by boat from Setúbal to discover the Alentejo coast and the famous area of Comporta where we have some international fame residing!
Anyway we are situated in a perfect place for anyone wanting to discover the delights of Portugal where we are still not overwhelmed with tourists and so you will find an authentic experience where everyone is warmly welcomed.
